I’m so happy to have found you! Amazing selection of groceries, and the café is simply stunning. I’m talking healthy AND delicious. Tonight I had lime chicken with quinoa, and a kale, avocado, butternut squash salad. The food was very, very good! Can’t wait to see their breakfast options in the morning!

Love this place!
The salad bar area is very clean and all the ingredients they have always look fresh and delicious. I’ve had the Avocado Kale Vegetarian burger and the mozzarella, basil, tomato sandwich here and they are both delicious. Also they have awesome sweet potato fries which they make on the spot. Again everything here is freshly made. I also stop here to get my most recent obsession the Roots original hummus (or the garlic one). The groceries they have are a little bit pricey but then again they majority of it is organic/​vegetarian/​vegan and you don’t find many places like this in the heights.
So all in all. absolutely love this place if you’re in the are you should definitely stop by.

Healthy food option ALERT in Washington Heights!
A much needed addition to WAHI. Gourmet Deli, yes please.
The venue is small but packed full of goodness.
SALAD BAR:
They have some of the best protein choices: amazing variety of chicken: pesto, cajun, etc but incredibly flavorful and fresh.
Their veggies are also premium, not just the typical beets, cucumbers, corn. Instead you’ll find the likes of panko-​crusted green beens, fried potato slices, etc. All ingredients taste fresh and many are quite unique. You are bound to discover something you’ll like.
HOT BAR/​Sandwiches:
Yet to try these yet, but looks enticing.
OVERALL: think premium and healthy. ditch the free bagels and pizzas at the hospital and give this place a try.

Update***. I don’t like their new system for bowls. They weigh it now and they also charge $ 5 extra for fish. Not worth it anymore. I hate that I can’t control how much I’m getting. So yea, this is going to cut back drastically how much I go there. Shout out to them though –this is encouraging me to do some meal prep so I am prepared for the week and don’t eat out. Thanks but no thanks!

I came here with a burger craving on a Friday night and didn’t want to settle for McDonald’s across the street. There are several options of burger you can choose from, including chicken. I decided to stick with the original, adding pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and thousand island dressing. The burger tasted fresh and was very filling. I am looking forward to trying different customization options on future burgers. Pair this with a side of fries and you will have a satisfying meal.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience here. It was about a 10 minute wait for the food, but I was able to fill up that time easily by browsing through the interesting selection in the store. The workers offered friendly service throughout. For a $ 9 dinner in NYC, this was a pretty good deal. I’ll be back!

Great alternative to the otherwise crap food in the Heights. Taco bowl is yummy and loaded with goodies and feasted on a burger other day with side of ‘real’ potatoes FF and was definitely good and fresh, not just some frozen pathetic patty. Lot of other choices which I have yet to try. As most other reviewers mentioned, expect to pay no less than $ 8-​$ 10. Oddly you’ll pay that anywhere in the Heights area but not get same quality or freshness. Oh yeah, real cool staff too… They smile and just about customize anything. There is hope for humanity.

Perfect little stop in Washington Heights for students, tourists, or anyone who is health conscious.
After moving to this area, I stumbled upon the store while exploring the area searching desperately for a red velvet cupcake. (I was reaaaally into cupcake wars). In the land of the Dominican jungle, this place is a great addition to the neighborhood.
They have variety of items to choose from along with a deli that makes delicious burgers, juices, salads, and more. They also have healthy chips and a decent grab and go fridge. Near the front they also have a little gourmet cake area with cupcakes and cakes. Yum!
Cherry Tree is very clean, the staff is of the younger generation and very friendly. I would call this place gourmet only because the price is little higher, but hey! Your body is worth the investment.

Upscale, like a miniature Fresh & Easy or Whole Foods. Plenty of gourmet and natural choices. Living near by, it’s a great place to stop and get an iced black coffee because the coffee just tastes so good. There’s also juice and smoothies which are good as well.
On the deli side there is a diverse list of items, hot and cold. From hamburgers to Chipotle-​esque bowls, everything I’ve gotten has been good. I highly recommend getting something that has guacamole.
Great customer service, but expect to pay $ 10+ for a takeout meal and drink.

A tiny Whole Foods! I love this new, healthy and organic deli! Expect to pay between $ 8-​$ 10 for lunch. They have healthy sandwiches, salad bar, taco station, smoothie station, frozen yogurt station and more. They make the smoothies right in front of you. They use fresh and mostly organic ingredients. Great place to go if you want to follow a healthy diet.
I ordered the «Crazy Chicken» sandwich. It included avocado, pico de gallo, mozzarella and chipotle sauce on whole grain. The price was a bit steep at $ 8.95 therefore had to deduct a star. I can get much more food at Chipotle down the block for cheaper, however I enjoyed the sandwich! It’s a new option in the neighborhood :)

Great service, the staff is lovely, we order catering for the office and it was on time, the delivery guy was very friendly.
The salads are fresh, they use organic products, paninis are my favorite! And the coffee! OMG!
The juice bar is great! Well we are 100% satisfied, we definitely gonna order again and stop by too cause they have a great selection of groceries.
PD they have killer deserts and gelato!

Great new deli welcome in the neighborhood!
This deli truly cares about patient experiences. As they are new, they are open to feedback and always looking to improve.
Their coffee is from Stone — a local roaster that is totally delicious. I went in once and mentioned that given their «green» eco nature, they should incentivize reducing disposable cups (even though they already use compost able ones). And on the spot they said good idea, gave me a discount and said they will roll out a plan for it soon!
Their burrito box things are great. Super tasty and no wrap. Lower carb and totally tasty.
They have a nice selection of beers that they keep cold. They also have some cool
Kombucha and cider, though I would love to see this section amped up a bit.
Service is great, food is pretty great and cheap, coffee rocks, could improve on beverages but are open to feedback and awesome. Very clean spot. I am sold.

This is a great place that pack a lot of tasty, bougie products into a small space! It is definitely emblematic of how WaHi is changing. There’s a grocery store section with beer, wine, fresh coffee w/​a grinder, infinity ice cream flavors, cheeses, a strangely wide selection of gluten-​free flours, etc. There’s also hot food with burgers and a salad bar that I have yet to try, but am looking forward to!

This place is incredible and desperately needed in this area! It replaced an old bodega but I was thrilled to see the same friendly owner as before. The whole staff is so sweet.
There’s so much to offer in this small space: gelato, coffee, baked goods, fresh pressed juices, smoothies, salad station, hot food station, deli counter, groceries, beer, sundries, etc. Tons of amazing organic options and great brands. And best of all I love supporting a local business. I’ll gladly stop in here over Gristedes or Chipotle!
The layout and décor are both very sharp and modern. It’s a perfect fit for this growing neighborhood!

Happy to see a place like Cherry Tree open up in Washington Heights. It’s sort of like an upscale deli/​grocer.
The deli side offers gelato, baked goods, coffee, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and maybe pasta? Everything looks pretty fresh. I had a coffee and it was solid. The grocery side has more upscale goodies — annie’s mac n cheese, gluten-​free stuff, gourmet mayonnaise (lol), gelato, etc.
Lastly, the staff have been really, really friendly.
