Ordered from here for the first time tonight. The food was terrible. Chicken parm was swimming in sauce with hardly any cheese. Their sauce is terrible and actually smelled like throw up, I couldn’t even eat it. Mozzarella sticks were alright, and my boyfriend’s calzone was terrible. Definitely won’t be eating here again. So not lit.

Classic NYC pizzeria with bonus points for gluten-free pizza! Thin crust and delicious. Salads are also great.(This was for delivery — wouldn’t recommend eating there).

Please be careful with their food. We have ordered from Café Daniellos many times, and the food was fine. Today the food that we ordered from Café Daniellos was spoiled /sour. I ordered pasta in meatsauce, the second i opened it up i noticed a strange sour smell. It smelt like vomit, so i didnt eat the food i just threw it away. Then other people in our office complained about the food they ate, mostly shrimp dishes, saying that they tasted sour. And they threw out their food as well. I called the place to notify them that they are selling bad food and to be careful because people can get food poisoning, but all they did was deny it and say that they used fresh food, asking us if we wanted a new delivery but we respectively declined.

Unexpectedly awesome pizza open late on 2nd ave near 57th street. The quality is so much better than any of those fluorescent lit joints you may see littering midtown. I had the square slice with pepperoni and extra sauce and it was perfect. Also, the guy working there(Vicky) was so friendly and cooked my slice perfectly.

I will start by writing something positive. If you order on Seamless or delivery in general, the food arrives very quickly. But how much does that actually matter when the delivery is subpar Italian food. The food is consistently bland bland bland. You can easily tell the pasta is cooked in plain water and everything can benefit from salt and pepper. There is no way Italians works here because the pasta is no even close to al dente. It always arrives as overcooked mush. The chicken rollatini is supposed to have prosciutto and there is none present. Maybe it was a one time mishap but not when I ordered it a second time and was still missing. One big thing I have noticed is the price differences between seamless and phone orders /in house dining. I was forced to call to use a cheap GC I purchased on . They tacked on an additional 2 – 3 bucks per dish. When I called to question it, they told me Seamless was wrong. So it’s been wrong for years then. If you’re in the rush and looking to shovel edible yet subpar food in your mouth then this place is prime. Otherwise, move on.

I eat here all the time. Great food all the time, no matter what I order. Definitely recommend. Great for dinners whether it’s just you or a group of 20, especially great for kids. Staff and owner are always friendly and always makes you feel like family.

Screwed up my order tonight. All I wanted was a slice of cheese and a slice of veggie. Instead I got a small Hawaiian pizza. I was upset to say the least.

We purchased a coupon. When we presented to the server, he refused to honor it claiming that brunch is already an offer and accepting the coupon would de double discount. But there was nothing on the website stating that is not valid for lunch or brunch. While the restaurant is empty, they refuse to accommodate the existing guests.

I ate here along time ago. and it was pretty good. last night I decided to order some pasta… i ordered penne Vodka… It was horrible. The pasta was mushy and the sauce was tasteless. Most likely never going back there.

Pizza in New York is an experience bordering on the sublime or spiritual. New Yorkers and those who know NY pizza can be very critical as there are some wonderful pizza shops throughout Manhattan and the boroughs. I started with a goat cheese topped salad with walnuts, raisins, mixed greens, cucumber and tomato and the house Italian dressing. The dressing was brought to the table in a small dish, vinegar, oil and some seasonings and a small bay leaf. Once applied, the salad dressing was phenomenal in its simplicity but bursting with flavor, the goat cheese was balanced by the sweetness of the raisins, the walnuts for texture and an an added another dimension of character. Somebody knows what they are doing here as this was no ordinary salad, it was memorable. The small plain cheese pizza arrived and it to was well above the average and better than most I have had in CT and MA. Thin crust with a very good quality of cheese and the sauce was perfect in flavor and just the right amount. This was a very good experience all away around and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Daniello’s to anyone.

These guys really tried. You know when you’re starving, late at night, and you’ve been up since 6am, and haven’t eaten since lunch, and you’re so hungry that you walk into the first restaurant that’s open? Well, this is the spot for you. I was able to get WIFI, sent back the broccoli rabe(because it’s precooked) and got a salad instead, and stayed for an hour on my laptop. But honestly, the food isn’t good at all. I would probably stick with getting a slice of pizza if you’re starving, but not order anything else. Also, I somehow ended up spending $ 45 on bad food and some drinks. Really not worth it.

Pizza was delicious… thin crust, high quality cheese and real mushrooms… not canned. The owner helped us and he was really pleasant and accommodating. Reminds me of a place I used to eat at when I was a kid in Jersey…30 years ago. Going back for the eggplant parm next week.

Sat down to have dinner with my wife. Ordered 2 cokes, waiter delivered a near clear liquid vaguely resembling coke, and a corona. I kindly reminded him of our order. Then, I had to ask for coke in the bottle. Ordered salad, it was good, ordered a pizza with olive and mushroom. It came with onions as well. I was too hungry to send it back. It was pretty good anyway.

Sorry to say that although management was apologetic and tried to be accommodating… the delivery of pizza and an attempt at some calamari was less than successful. Being no more than two blocks away the delivery boy apparently got lost. One hour later and after the manager offered to send another pie. the doorbell rang. We had to reheat the pizza. wasn’t terrible .but the calamari truly was mediocre. Doubt we will be calling again.

I’d have to admit aside from the Pizza this place has turned out to be pretty good with its food dishes. They offer good lunch specials which come with a drink. The regular portions do not. This isn’t too bad since lunch special is a bit cheaper. On the dishes the Broccoli & Ziti is delicious, better with sausage also good with Chicken. Chicken parmigiana great as a dish comes with pasta. The Chicken Francese not bad tasting but they added a bit too much lemon. Shrimp Fra-Diavolo was really good this comes in a red sauce with a sipcy kick to it along with good size shrimp, good dish. Chicken parm hero not bad, Also good is the Sausage hero. The Grandma Sicilian pizza is delicious, great sauce & they add tons of garlic. This Pie is basically the Sicilian pie but it’s more on the thinner crust as supposed to the normal heaviness of a regular Sicilian pie. They give you garlic bread with your pasta dish the bread seems to be a hit or miss only because at times the bread is covered in garlic(I’d prefer) with little bit of garlic or no garlic at all ?? Kinda annoying & I only say it because when the garlic bread is as it should b covered in garlic it taste so much better. Decent food aside from the pizza, prizes are moderate & delivery is usually pretty quick although when food is deliver it can be a bit messy at times.

my office and i love the food here. HOWEVER, every time they deliver the food is all smashed with sauce everywhere and it’s a huge mess. The dishes they use crush easily and bend in and it’s NOTOKAY. get your shit together, Daniello’s.

I know this is a pizzeria, but since I’m not a big pizza fan, I’ve always ordered a meal here and have never been disappointed. I have come here many times, mainly because we park on Second Ave when coming into the city. Usually it’s about lunch time, so this is our place to dine before heading to the Times Square area where restaurants are overcrowded and overpriced. I have never had a bad meal here at Daniello’s. First of all the soups are all«homemade’ and fresh. They have no artificial after-taste, are not overly salted nor do they have overcooked vegetables. Did my mom make this soup? I look forward to having one of their soups as an appetizer every time. The typical Italian dishes are like many pizzerias in NY. Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, etc. but the sauce is very good and fresh and the pastas are cooked perfectly, al dente. That’s my husband’s usual order. I like to order other non-sauce dishes. They make a penne pasta with broccoli and chicken breast. Excellent! Sauted chicken with spinach, olive oil and garlic. Also excellent! Even their salad with grilled chicken is very good, just order the dressing on the side so you can control the amount. The chicken is grilled perfectly and the greens are fresh with some tomatoes, peppers, added. I do recommend this restaurant and will return.

Stopped by on a Saturday for a late lunch /early dinner to use up a $ 25 coupon from restaurant .com. Comfortable place located in Midtown East area. Overall, food was pretty good. We ordered a large whole wheat margarita pie, clams & mussels special, and a lobster ravioli special. Whole wheat margarita pie was the highlight; loved their tomato sauce. Both the clam & mussels special and the lobster ravioli special were both heavy on the sauce, so that kind of covered up the actual seafood flavor. Not bad dishes, but would have preferred to taste the seafood flavor instead of sauce. No big deal though. I also got a strawberry smoothie, which was pretty good. Fresh strawberries and it wasn’t too sweet. Woohoo! Worth a stop by if you’re in the Midtown East area and need something to eat. 1) Whole Wheat Margarita Pizza — 2) Clams & Mussels(on specials menu) — 3) Lobster Ravioli(on specials menu) —
