I went to the Sunday brunch and it was the worst brunch that Ive ever been too. The service was horrible! The waiter had an attitude, never came to our table to see if we wanted a refill of mimosa and the 1st course took 1.5 hours to arrive. I ordered my son a grilled cheese sandwich with fries and literally had to ask several waiters what happened with his food. It then came half an hour after we got our food!! I noticed alot of people around us was also complaining so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager didnt even apologive and just smiled didnt know what to say and said he was coming back which he never did. After 2 hours we never saw our waiter again. We were there of a total of 3.5 hours. Ive never experienced such bad service in a restaurant. Def NEVER coming back!

I would give this place one star, but they do work hard. The service was so slow. We order paella. Took almost 45 minutes to come out. Paella was all salt and overcooked seafood. Not tasty at all. Our appetizer was 3 little empanadas. We asked for 2 beef and 1 chicken and we got 2 chicken and one beef. It took so long to come out that we didn’t bother asking about it. Sangria was stiff and pretty good. Then they try to charge us extra for the paella with our groupon. I would say to go someplace else in the hood for Dominican food. This place is run down and really not very good.

I have to say for my first time it was amazing! Had a Groupon for two for a 3 course brunch and unlimited mimosas or sangria for 2 hrs… food and drinks were awesome. Although I was a bit worried about 3 courses and it being Spanish food because us Latinos love to eat lol it was perfect portion s! Would definitely go back and I loved the DJ as well!

First time at the restaurant,(native to the culture) they did not have the Yucca, nor the back up guienos. I had to settle for the white rice with pink beans. The food was cold and the beans were lacking in flavor and watery. I felt as if they could have done a better job at keeping me posted and not waiting so long to report that they were out fo a «staple» yucca.

This place is in a great location to get people just walking by, however we didnt have place-mats, the tables had burn spots from cigarettes. It was not packed but service took a really long time. Food was good, but all the other items really weighed on me. With a small amount of upgrade, this place could do great.

First time trying out the brunch at Albert’s Mofongo house and I must say after trying several brunches this was amazing good proportion on the plates not like most places that barely serve you food. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a good brunch and flavorful plates.

Came with my girlfriend and we both had traditional mofongo and Yuca fries. They were both amazing. We both really loved the atmosphere and the music. They played boleros throughout the whole time [very romantic] Would highly recommend. Peace out.

No amount of good food can ever justify terrible service, both dining in and ordering everything takes forever. At 7:28 I ordered 2 mofongos and the delivery guy must have mixed up the bags(since he was carrying 2). No problem right, or so I thought. Called and told the guy on the phone(who was clueless to what proper phone etiquette is) that he mixed up the bags just call him and tell him to switch it. He told me the delivery guy didn’t have a phone he had to wait until he got back(ok sure). He told me that he would redo the orders and send them when the delivery guy got back. Now waiting another hour on top of the hour I already waited for the original order. Decided to call again to check the status. Speaking to the same guy he then now ask for my address(are you kidding me). So I told him to cancel it and just to get my money back. Pretty frustrated ending my night with a bowl of cereal instead of some hot food. But wait there’s more. so it’s now 11:20, my doorbell rings and the delivery guy is here with my new order that I already cancelled. If you have the patience to deal with this I say go for it. Never had a problem with the food but I’m done getting food from this place. Being as it takes 4 hours to get anything right.

Rice beans spaghetti eggplant salad was good 6 out of 10. Over priced for a «local» spot with local dishes and Service sucks! Two waitress holding down 7 tables and they couldn’t manage.

The worst customer service ever. Do not waste your time going here. There are hundreds of other restaurants with way better customer service and better food around. Went there for the first and LAST time.

I went here this week and the service was ok. I had to hunt for our waitress to bring us our bill. The food was good. They can do better overall.

Glad i gave this place a try, with the prefix menu for WHIN! Definitely a good price for some good food. The shrimp monfoguitos were out if this world delicious. The mojito was pretty good & so was the virgin strawberry daiquiri. The salmon was cooked to perfection! The waitress was very nice, friendly as well as recommended some good choices!

This place used to he great, now it’s a shit show. No more buffet as the waitress told us. Items on the menu you can’t order The bread that they put on the table we had to pick it up since nobody got us any. 35 minutes later they got us a round. 0 water even when we asked Tables are wobbly and we had to put stuff on them to fix it. Asked for water and they got bottle water nut never ever mentioned until they came with it. We ran out of bread by now and the water just came(minute 38) ps bread should not je reheated on the microwave it gets elastic and hard. A fly around the food. Now to the food: THE food that needs to be cooked on the spot aka not the one that’s already on the buffet style area(I know there is no more buffet according to the waitress) that’s good. Get the pricey mofongos and always ask for chicharron or pork inside as that’s how they are supposed to be made. I got the chivo mofongo and all they do is mash the plantains and give u a side of goat?. I was wtf it should be inside of the plantains. The fried stuff was also good. Do not get the burgers. The fish was also decent tilapia style fish. The service got better as a guy came to help the girl that was clueless and I think she was not trained well on how to treat customers. Spent 490 dollars for good food and shit service. Last time mofongo house, last time.

No thank you. These people have no clue about service. They don’t even bring you water. You have to ask for water and they bring you bottled water and try to charge you for that. BOTTLEDWATER? Am I in a bodega or a restaurant? I shouldn’t have to ask for water, I shouldn’t have to pay for water. Aside from the water issue the service just sucked in general. More than once I tried to get our servers attention with no success. It felt like she was ignoring us The food was below average, I had baked chicken with rice and Beans, parts of the chicken were cold and the rice was more sticky than it should be. The food was lackluster. This place just has no redeeming value. Especially considering every other storefront on this block is a Spanish restaurant. The only thing they have going for them is a prime corner location on dyckman. That’s probably the only reason they are still open.

This by far has to be the worst customer service I have ever had. I ordered an apple juice and the waiter came with the juice and and some kind of plan stem I had her bring me a new one. I ordered the whole red snapper with white rice and beans. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich with fries. I also ordered a avacodo salad. I ordered a chinola mojito the waitress came back with a chinola juice SMH!!! She came back with our food and Omfg the fish was extremely over cooked, very dry the rice was mediocre and the beans were salty. She also forgot to bring me the salad!!! If I can give them a negative 5 stars I will. This place SUCKSSSS.

The food, décor, and service at this location are great. Is a great family-friendly restaurant during the day. At night there is karaōke. My parents took me out to eat. Very nice of them, right? My mom ordered a fried red snapper, with tostones abd a green salad. Me and my dad ordered steak with onions and goat stew. Although a little chewy, it was nicely seasoned. The only downside is the restroom. It’s so small! The toilet space itself is tight; door barely closes. They really need to fix that. Otherwise, I would consider coming back.
