Very good food & shareable portions. We sat outside for dinner and enjoyed the lovely patio seating area. We tried the wedge salad, firecracker shrimp, garage salad, chopped salad, and the«big sicilian»(meat lovers) pizza. Overall, it was a little pricey(averaging ~$ 20/person), but everything seemed fresh and delicious.

I’m from out of town and hit this place on a Saturday morning. The food I had was really good(route 66 I think it was called) and the beer selection isn’t too bad either. Cool join.

I am in love with this restaurant! We came back again as we heard that they were starting brunch this past weekend and boy it didn’t disappoint! The«brunchie» and«lunchie» menu are simple yet all look amazing! We decided since it was around 11:00AM we would opt for the brunchie side of the menu. We ordered the cimarron french toast, the frittata and the back seat driver. All 3 items were out of this world as my family and i shared all the dishes! It’s great to have a brunch/alcohol option in Northville! I can’t say enough about this place… the service has been outstanding, their executive chef knows what he’s doing and the food is always consistent! Keep up the great work Garage team, you’ve got lifelong fans!

Just had the most wonderful Brunch date with my friend here! Garage Grill & Fuel Bar is a GEM!!! I’ve been coming to the location for a few years now & always have an enjoyable time. Was so excited to try out the new Sunday Brunch, and now I can’t wait to make my way through the menu… Atmosphere: Perfectly located in Downtown Northville, lots of bright lighted windows, outdoor seating, unique deco(upscale old car themed), and very clean. They have a beautiful mural when you enter of Detroit & Northville that is worth checking out in its full detail. This use to be an old gas station, and they have preserved it’s original use but with a classy modern feel. They have all glass garage doors from the indoor area to the outside patio. Booths are lined with old gas station work shirts, the candles on the table have metal nuts/bolts around them and the lights are used from old Ford car headlights. It’s a blend of Michigan automotive foodie to its finest. Food: Traditional with a twist, clean eating options, healthy portion sizes & good use of gourmet ingredients without being«too posh». They will even customize your order, just how you want it! Staff: Pleasant, Professional & Aware of your needs but not too pushy. This is the go-to place to bring out of state friends/family, or just enjoy a wonderful meal with your partner. The kitchen is very busy, so expect a bit of a wait after placing your order… But like most good things in life, it’s worth the wait.

Just OK. We ordered the spicy shrimp appetizer as well as the steak bites/mushrooms appetizer. The shrimp were served on top of cold noodles with barely any sauce. The steak and mushrooms, while tasted decent, were pricy for the portion size. Service was sub par. Took over ten minutes to get a glass of wine. There are better places in the area for the price and quality.

Had the most amazing Grouper tonight. Miso glaze with cool veggies and sweet potatoes. Since they brought the new Chef on they are hitting it out of the park !

It looks cool but that’s about it. It seemed a little more upscale inside than I thought it would be. The menu has nothing simple. Every item seemed to be trying a little too hard or like it was for a more upscale palette. I just wanted a simple burger at a bar & grill. I had trouble finding a «safe» item to order. The food was average but I didn’t like what I ordered. Our waitress recited an impressively long«specials» list to us when we sat down. It was way too much to take in before we even got the menu but it was impressive that she memorized it. However, it was super difficult for her to split our bill between 3 friends. We spoke to her a few times about it and I guess there were some communication issues because she just split the total bill 3 ways. Which was inaccurate to what we all ordered and ate individually. Overall, it was just a little too upscale for my taste and what I like in a bar & grill. Won’t be returning.

After having a conversation with their fantastic manager Bryce, my boyfriend and I decided we’d give the Garage another go. We stopped by late Saturday afternoon and was waited on by a very personable bartender. After ordering a couple beers, we then ordered the Firebird Shrimp, which was shrimp smothered in a sweet and spicy sauced on-top of a bed of Asian noodles. I loved that sauce! It reminded us of spicy mayo you sometimes get on sushi. For lunch, I had the crispy chicken sandwich. They describe it as Kentucky style chicken with a green cabbage and apple slaw, tomato, pickled red onion with lemon mayo. It was actually very tasty! The bread was really unique, the best I can describe it is a very soft pita-type bread. My only complaint would be it soaked up a little too much mayo which made the bottom piece a tad soggy. Overall really good flavor. My boyfriend had the Garage burger and when they brought it to us it looked reallllly good. I had a bite, and you could tell it was quality meat. Didn’t have a good experience the first time but they definitely changed my mind about the Garage this time.

My sister wrote a pretty extensive and great review so I will keep this short and sweet. They swindled two dollars out of me and served a pizza that was just cold noodles on top of a mediocre cheese pizza and tried to call it a Mac and Cheese pizza. This place tries so hard to be trendy it is laughable. I’ll only return when I become middle-aged and want to escape my kids for a couple hours like the rest of their clientele.

We just moved here from Los Angeles and are looking for great restaurants and I think we found one. The food is amazing and I don’t think you can beat the service. I don’t think I’ve been to a restaurant where the waitress knew just as much of the bar as the food on the menu. Our server Joey was amazing and I don’t think I will let anyone else be our server the next time we go, which will be soon. :) What impressed me the most is she rattled of almost 20 of the 24 bourbons on the menu. Amazing!

The garage used to be where we would take our out of town guests for a great meal. At one point I would have made the bold statement that they had the best calamari ever. Unfortunately during our last visit I will retract my previous statement. They changed how they make the calamari putting the sauce on the side and overall flavor profile is different. The entrees are good and the Sicilian pizza are still my favorite. We have noticed a decline in service the past few times as well. One could expect this due to a busy night however the last time was during lunch hours. We will still keep this place in mind however we have found others that are more consistent in their experiences.

Can’t get enough of this place! Love the classic look and the art décor. The booths are covered with blue jeans and chrome. Love the entire design of this old Sunoco gas station turned into a «grill and bar fuel» type restaurant. I had the Roadtrip bbq chicken, it’s chicken breast, mash potato topped with spicy apricot barbecue sauce, with a side a the house truffle fries, can’t get enough of it! The other dishes to arrive to the table was garage greens, margherita pizza along with Eldorado smoked beef brisket tacos. Everything was cooked to perfection, we didn’t want to stop eating and let’s not forget the homemade bread basket! Have to give this place a try and you’ll take any opportunity to go back!

Had a pizza and brisket tacos for an after concert bite to eat. Recommend the house Malbec. It’s worth the taste and the price is great. Also had caramel cheese cake. Have been here before. A little short on service. Empty bread basket, water glasses and dirty plates on table before dessert. May be a mom with two adolescents– doesn’t mean I’m not expecting service as if on a date, a couple or friends.

A true hidden gem in downtown Northville, the trendy design and warm atmosphere inside and out makes you feel at home. The food is always amazing! I’ve had there steak, traditional burger, fish taco’s and Calamari. Let’s just say it was an explosion on taste every time. The service and and managers are very attentive. They sincerely care about your happiness and dining experience and keep the restaurant white glove clean. The only real reason I didn’t give them 5 stars though is because the parking lot for this little gem is way too small to accommodate the business. You’ll be happy you came and tried all they have to offer.

I like the location, I like the décor and I love the patio. There are outdoor heaters and blankets spread over each chair, such a nice touch. The wait staff is well trained, they seem to know every detail on the menu items and do a great job communicating daily specials. The beef tips portabella are one of my favorite appetizers around. Marinated, melt-in-your-mouth beef tips with earthy, savory mushrooms with a ridiculous sauce. I like to use their fresh, and delicious, baked rolls to soak up the sauce from the bottom of the dish, it’s that good. I also really like the pig iron: a cast iron cooked pork tenderloin, prociutto wrapped with squash, candy striped beet, parsnip purée, applewood smoked vinaigrette and frizzled potato. The beet salad with their bomb almond brittle is a nice light lunch/dinner. My stepdaughter loves the sweet potato fries here, I need to order something with them soon. Now that summer is around the corner I am looking forward to more patio dining and garage will be part of our regular rotation.

I had lunch here today at about 12:30 pm. No trouble getting a table and, I’ll tell you why. Sat by the side window with two other people. Very nicely decorated. Service was great, very attentive, polite and quick. So, one star for décor, staff and the blue cheese stuffed olives in the bland, bloody mary. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and was told it was a «whitefish» sandwich for lent. So I ordered the Garage Burger, Medium Rare $ 11 and fries $ 4. The fries have a coating on them and they were tasty but I prefer fries without a coating. The burger came out Well-Done and tasted like a hockey puck.(At least what I assume a hockey puck would taste like and that’s rubbery, dried-out crud. For $ 11, even a well-done burger should taste good.) The cheddar cheese was good. I think they get it from Hiller’s. The one mushroom and two onion pieces were tasteless – wasn’t even sure what they were but, I ate them. I was hungry. I would have sent it back but I was with people that I haven’t had lunch with in years and I didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable. One of the other diners had the Lake Perch and the other diner had a very unimpressive, pathetic looking Corned Beef Grilled Cheese. Neither diner said anything about their food. I will assume that it didn’t knock their socks off. The person with the corned beef took a few bites and then removed half the bread. Prob not a ringing endorsement.(And, why-o-why does any restaurant put corned beef on their menus with the outstanding deli’s in W. Bloomfield, Southfield??? Just stop.) Overall, very disappointing. Really too bad because this place could be great but the menu and execution needs a ton of help.
