I ordered a cheese pizza. It had a very weak flavor and was paper thin. The top had black burn marks on it as well as the crust. The crust was hard.

Yum! Food was great and homemade! Cannolis are amazing! Delicious! We had carbonara and gnocchi. Both were big portions. House salad good size and fresh.

I have been a tourist on the cape for 20+ years. And… I have always driven by Montanos. Never gone in. Wow, what a mistake. I have been on cape off season and kind of forced to go there since they are opened all year. This place is fantastic. Really good Italian food, decent prices, good service. The wine list is not top notch, but for the 10 –15 dollar a bottle crowd, it is more than sufficient. They have a full bar, but have not taken advantage of it. My estimation is that you would not want to challenge them with interesting drinks, but the bar does have quality alcohol. The best thing i s the deserts. The cannolis are to die for. OK, my wife made me say that. They are good tho. The tiramisu is killer as well.

Delicious food; great service. We had to wait a bit due to a fundraiser going on. The maitre d’ was a little stressed it seemed. We asked if we could have a little bread with out drinks, but he declined. Once seated it was great.

Came during off season so very casual dinner. I had the linguine with clams and clam chowder. Really delicious. I needed to add salt, pepper, and cheese to everything but other than that great. Wonderful and fun waiter who was attentive and friendly. House wines are worth a try!

You know what’s so great about this place other than the easy parking? The fact that they are friendly, the food is mellow and super-casual. Are you going to swoon or fall in love? Maybe not. The décor sets the tone and it is vague and a bit underwhelming. I think both the menu and the ambiance could use a boost in sophistication but if you are hungry and don’t feel like the hassle of parking in P’town or dealing with sometimes cramped dining spaces there, Montaño’s is the ticket.

Beautiful homemade pasta. Great rice balls(vegetarians beware: they contain meat!) Pizza is by far the best in the area. They give you lots of homemade bread with cheese gratis. Cannoli also excellent. Large portions, fair prices. I’ve never left here without being completely stuffed. I would advise you to stick with the pastas and steer clear of the entrees, which are almost uniformly overly salty. Another one of these places that I’ve driven by for years, but never checked out until recently(and have eagerly returned several times.) It is kind of in an isolated location. Flip side is easy parking, big restaurant(so even if there are a lot of people waiting, usually not that long a wait.) Can accommodate big parties and children easily.

Got the early bird special(about a dollar cheaper than regular and comes with a salad as well if you get there before 6). I got the Fettuccine Bolognese and my wife got the lasagna, both were quite delicious. Fried mozzarella was really good as well, very crispy outside, lots of cheese, and the marinara was spectacular.

Oh Montaño’s, we’ve been coming to vacation in September every year in Provincetown, how the heck did it take us so long to check you out?! We had dinner on 9÷24÷15 and we arrived at 5:00 pm to ensure we could take part in the Early Bird specials. Our server was Kate. She was lovely — so professional, warm, helpful. She was there when we needed her, but never too much. The décor there is very subtle and is not reflective of its slightly dated exterior«look». It felt warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the delicious complimentary crusty and warm bread with olive oil and cheese with my red sangria(delicious) and my husband’s local IPA. Then perfection happened: another kind Unilocaler recently shared a photo of the calamari special with banana peppers, kalamata olives, capers and sautéed artichokes. Seriously? It was fabulous and I practically cried tears of joy as I ate it. My husband — who usually hates spicy things — loved it too. We were pleasantly surprised that we both were able to get a side salad without an extra charge. We each ordered a Caesar salad and they were fantastic. Dressed perfectly(not drowning and not too sparse) and of ample size. Let me tell you this — the half portions for the early bird specials are huge! We were shocked. My husband’s chicken parmigiana was delicious and eggplant parmesan was delightful as was the homemade pasta that came with both. We initially declared ourselves too full for dessert and then changed our minds and split a piece of Tiramisu with coffee. Best tiramisu either of us has ever had, hands down. We will definitely be back.

I had a problem before about leaving a cash tip. Luckily, the owner contacted me and figured out the issue. I am grateful for his help. I will stress that if you ever have an issue, just ask for Bob! By the way, the bread and pasta are divine.

For the last few years we’ve vacationed in this area. We wait all year for a visit or two to Montaño’s. It’s my most favorite Italian restaurant– I hate that it’s so far from home but happy to visit on vacation. Delicious!

Like many, we’ve passed this restaurant on the way to Ptown for decades. Decades. Nice restaurant atmosphere, small but nice menu. Nice smiling staff. Nice to have an Italian, non-seafood dinner for a change on The Outer Cape. Nice table service, the kind where they bring a pepper grinder to your table. Nice food, including stated homemade pasta, although the wait seemed longer than necessary for our food to arrive on a non-busy weekday evening. Desserts nice. I guess I’m saying this place is nice. I’d go back.

Ok, so it took years and years of sub par food in Provincetown and service that sucks almost more than the food to take a 10 minute ride outside the borders of happy-land to find this place. Great service Great food Great wine Great prices Overall, better than Victors, Ross’s, and probably more Skip the attitude and hop over here

The pizza is wonderful! I have to admit that I only go there for the pizza because it is so good that I don’t even want to try anything else. My review is therefore based on a 5* pizza: great crust, the ingredients are nicely spread on the dough, good cheese, very flavorful! Great price to compared to Sweet Escape where they charge you an arm and a leg and it’s greasy and they through everything in the middle of the pizza.

We’ve been passing this place since 1997. And it took us until a few months ago to discover this place.(I’m/we are so ASHAMED). Cuz, during winter months/off-season not many restaurants are open in Ptown. We’ve only stayed in Ptown to eat. My partner and I went for social hour(half priced apps and menu items) in the bar area. We both enjoyed ourselves again. And for the second visit, we had Anna as our server(very professional and courteous). Here’s the review for our social hour experience.(Mind you these are special prices). On Friday the 20th of February. Scallops Wrapped in Bacon $ 7(5⁄5) I thought these were awesome. A little bit more syrup than I would want, but okay. Since most dinners end up with 5 – 6 scallops this was a steel for $ 7. I would order again. I wish there were more scallops, though… Potato Skins $ 5(5⁄5) My partner and I shared this app. OMG, the second time is just as awesome. Real fresh new potatoes are addictive bathed in cheese and bacon. Totally incredible. Montanos House Burger $ 7(5⁄5) We both ordered this as our entrée. It’s served with delicious fries and pickle spear. We both agree it’s great deal for your buck. Also, their ketchup is out of this world. Overall, we loved our second visit to Montanos. Also, they have early birds, which we tried and we’re happy.

Early bird is the word! Came here for dinner and got there in time to order off the early bird menu(before 6:00). That saved some big bucks right there. I had the crab stuffed flounder and it was great! The fries on the side were okay. Bread is very tasty! Entrees come with a salad but if you want a Caesar, that’s a $ 4 upgrade. That seems like a lot just to replace a garden salad with a Caesar, but I will say the Caesar was delicious. Service was fine and the place seemed clean and orderly. It’s a pretty good deal.
