Great stories and good wine. We tried their Pinot Noir and a dessert Rose. Walked away with the Noir.

Definitely worth checking this vineyard out if you are anywhere remotely near Napa. My first experience was over 2 years ago and all I can say is that after 2 years, Dave, Emily and the wines are consistently excellent!

Probably the best wine tasting around. Small place just a table in the yard in front on the house. I would have been content to just chat with the owner David for a half hour. The outstanding wine was just a bonus. Like the other reviews, the late harvest Pinot noir is a must have. If you happen to be lucky and catch David when he is in town, make a trip to see him, the top to do on your list.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and we were in Sonoma, Napa and Carneros Valleys for a couple days. We visited three wineries on our first day in the area and the last one we happened upon that day was Carneros Della Notte winery. What a treat it turned out to be for us. After driving into the property we were warmly greeted by a woman who introduced herself as Emily and whom it turns out is the winery owner’s fiancé. Unbeknownst to us at the time the winery usually does tastings by appointment but when Emily found out that we are on our honeymoon, she told us that it would be her pleasure to give us a private tasting. The pleasure was completely ours! Emily was so delightful to speak with and the wine was very good also especially the Sauvignon Blanc and the LPR(late harvest). Emily’s great and friendly nature made our day and although the winery suffered some damage from the recent earthquake so it wasn’t in the best repair, Emily more than made up for it with her wonderful conversation and fun personality. Very cool.

A quiet little gem we fell in love with the wine and the owner Dave! We got really lucky that he was in town when we called last minute for an appt. We spent about 3 hours just listening to his stories and learning about the grapes and wine. So much better than the pretentious winery up the street!

This was our first experience with a Napa winery. We have wineries in BC and wanted to have a smaller, more personal experience then being railed in with all the other typical tours. It looks like a small home operation but is a definite diamond in the rough. You’ll need to call ahead to make sure they can accommodate a tasting. Dave wasn’t there but Emily treated my family and I like ol’cousins. The Pinot Noir is world glass and the late harvest Pinot is beyond any I have tasted. We found out that they had served these to the President and First Lady, who really enjoyed them too… Great hospitality & amazing Pinot = Excellent 1st Napa experience. Like I said I’ve experienced the commercial version and this was simply so much more enjoyable and personable. Thank you!!!

The hospitality of this place is incredible! Emily spent an hour with us chatting and drinking. Good wine, sunset and the friendliest company that you can get. What else? We extremely recommend the LPR(Late Harvest Pinot Noir), absolutely amazing, even for us italians :) We’ll definitely come back next time we hang out in Napa.

I was in Sacramento for a conference and decided to drive up to Napa before heading back to LA. We only chose Carneros della Notte because there’s a deal but are so happy we did! We called to make an appointment and arrived about twenty minutes early but Dave met us out front right away and was incredibly friendly and personable! We just sat and chatted about wine for an hour and I learned a lot which is awesome because I knew nothing before. Anyways, we were only planning on purchasing one bottle but walked out with four because we liked it so much! Make sure you call beforehand because he’s always traveling. We even got free lunch because there were some producers setting up for a show! P. S. It’s a little hard to see the driveway but watch the numbers on the mailboxes. P. P. S. try the LPR, a late harvest Pinot ;)

Fantastic hidden gem! Not open to the public, call ahead to make sure they’re around. We didnt :) but luckily, Dave and Emily were so completely warm and welcoming, they invited us in. We intended to stay for an hour, but ended up chatting all afternoon on the porch. The wine is delish, but the stories and ambience are right up there as well. It’s not fancy by any stretch, but when you’re just looking for truly great wine and great people, Carneros Della Notte has it! Can’t wait to go back for harvest! Thank you!

Some of the best pinots you will ever taste. It’s not a huge wine making factory but it definitely is about quality over quantity.

This place really does have some really good tasting pinots!!! I usually dont buy wines from Napa after sampling but I was so impress with their wines, I bought three bottles! They don’t offer public wine tasting but they were so cool with us that we got a private tasting when my friend called. The owner and manager were so cool with us, that we spent a nice time with them. The owner has a interesting story about his wine making history. I served his wine to my friends and they all loved it and gave high compliments! I definitely recommend it!

Guaranteed to be the best pinots you will ever taste!!! I first tried these at the Taste of Kapolei in Hawaii, and they were the talk of the event. I’ve never enjoyed pinots before, but these ones have changed my mind. This winery isn’t open to the public, but you can order their wines online. Dave Harmon is the owner/operator and has done something special with his grapes. Enjoy the 2005 Los Carneros Pinot Noir… it’s the most bang for your buck. If you splurge on the DIII Pinot Noir, they’ll engrave whatever you want on it. Bonus: their labels glow in the dark.
