Ordered the salmon flatbread, the eggs Benedict, the green eggs and ham, a couple of donuts and the s’mores brownie. The smoked salmon flatbread was definitely 5 stars. Even my wife who doesn’t like salmon loved it and couldn’t stop eating it. Eggs Benedict and green eggs and ham were very good. The ham especially. The donuts were ok. Had to try them. The s’mores brownie with marshmallows and graham cracker ice cream was absolutely amazing. So glad I ordered it. The wait wasn’t too bad. The parking is the only thing that’s tricky but overall an amazing place to try.

Wow. This place rocks! Simple clean rustic with friendly servers. Coffee was good. Their little doughnuts were oh so sinfully great. Light yet chewy doughy, in a good way, light dusted with powdered sugar. Best Super breakfast burritos for those who like this. True star for me was their corned beef hash. OMG! The flavor combinations were unexpected and amazing. We Will be back to try some of the other dishes at neighboring tables that also looked scrumptious. One thing. Parking lot is a bit tight. Watch out for the bad drivers. Almost got smashed into by an idiot driver backing out who wasn’t paying attention. If I wasn’t in the car and honked, he probably would have busted my headlights and took off.

This barn-style café is the cutest little place for brunch! It’s easy to spot because it’s the only huge red barn in the vicinity.(But be careful not to miss the turn as it is right on the side of the highway.) The wait was only about 5 – 10 minutes at noon on the Friday that we went. There are cute bench swings to sit on and you can help yourself to the fruit-infused water as you wait. Once seated, we ordered the green eggs & ham and the chicken & waffles. Our food took awhile to come out, I joked that they had just caught the chicken and that’s why it was taking so long(lol). Our food came out piping hot. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the waffles were fluffy. They basically give you a whole chicken cut up into 4 huge pieces. Big portions for a great price, now that’s my kind of restaurant. The green eggs & ham was probably one of the best brunch foods I’ve ever tasted. That green sauce was amazing and the hash browns underneath remained crispy, despite having yolk and sauce on top of it. In my opinion, I wish the eggs were slightly less yolky because there were like 4 eggs under the ham and I found it to be a bit overwhelming, but that’s just my preference. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and it was conveniently located near the two wineries we were visiting that day. Definitely enjoyed our experience here.

*Family driving to Boon Fly Café per my recommendation* Mom: «Are you sure we’re going the right way?» Me: «Yes, its the red barn right there» ~Confused silence~ Mom: «Are you sure this place is good?» Despite the unconventional exterior, on the inside Boon Fly somehow manages to create a simultaneously urban and rural atmosphere, and their food embraces this mentality as well. I had the Corned Beef Hash($ 18), because I’m a sucker for corned beef hash. A typical diner menu item, but it also came with this amazing jalapeño hollandaise sauce too(not too much heat, still manageable for the spice averse). We also couldn’t pass up an order of their donuts, which are tiny sugary deep-fried balls of deliciousness. Pro tip #1: Free coffee outside for while you’re waiting! They only have tiny dixie cups, but nobody’s stopping you from getting a healthy number of refills. Pro tip #2: The brunch menu is only available on weekends, but ‘weekend’ includes Monday and Friday as well. Because Napa.

Having spent the better part of the day bouncing around Napa amazing wineries, we had to choose just the right place for our post wine feast. The main criteria, American style comfort food and good cocktails. After so much wine a bourbon cocktail was just what was needed. Let me say that Boon Fly delivered on the goods. We had stellar service, well crafted cocktails and delicious menu items. If you get a chance, try the Sazerac, slightly sweet and oh-so smooth. For dinner we ordered a few items including the Baby Iceberg Salad, Hanger Steak and fried chicken. All were delicious and satisfying but the stand out dish were the Burnt Ends. Tender, smokey and slathered with a tangy BBQ sauce, these rib bits were crazy good. For dessert we tried several dishes, including the chewy donuts, but the Graham Cracker Ice Cream, delish! Smooth and creamy with little bits of cracker strewn through out. It was exactly what a comforting meal like this deserved to finish with. Looking forward to trying brunch here and getting another scoop of that ice cream!

The green eggs and ham was absolutely to DIE for. The lemon leek green sauce over the soft poached eggs and hashbrowns was recommended by the bartender and it was an awesome recommendation. The housemaid doughnuts remind me of new orleans. Thank Jamie/Jamin!(I could hear what he said) but he was awesome and made my first experience here great. I will be back 4 sure!

Love this place… I remembered enjoying brunch here a long time ago so when we were looking for a last minute dinner spot, I felt confident about this place. We shared a salad, with peas which was very good. The burger was great: very filling and really hit the spot. If only it were smaller, then I’d have room for dessert! The cocktail I had was not my favorite… I learned that while I like both whiskey and root beer… together…um, not so much. Just a personal preference that’s all. Next time I’ll just order something different.

When you drive to the place, you won’t miss it. It is a big red Barn-like structure. There is a sitting swing at the porch while you wait to be seated. I suggest to come early on the weekends. Lines and the wait can be a while. The inside structure had a rustic ambiance which I felt warmly. Service was great! The staff were very friendly and greeted everyone with a warm greeting. The food was just like any brunch place. We ordered the Boon Fly mini donuts which they serve in a small tin bucket, which I thought was pretty cute. Great experience to have brunch whenever you come up to Napa. Great staff, good food, and a nice way to start your Napa day.

The ambiance and experience is top notch. Just a wee ways out of Napa proper. They have a few swings to swing while you wait. Perfect for the kids. Free coffee for the adults while you wait. We had party of 10 but didn’t have to wait long on a Friday morning. No reservations. They won’t seat you until the whole party is there. The food was all around excellent. I really liked my huevos rancheros. Had a jalapeño sauce but wasn’t too spicy. MIld enough for my 7 yo who loved it. I was too busy enjoying my dish. Didn’t really try the other dishes but heard they were all good.

Boon Fly is good to go for the experience and décor. As for the food, eh. The décor is like a modern farm house or barn. It’s tucked away in front of hotel that looks like a small farm community. There are swings in front of the restaurant! Parking is a nightmare if you come on a busy day/time. There are literally 8 parking spots(maybe a few more but not that much). We came for brunch on a Thursday around 11am. Luckily it wasn’t busy and we were sat right away. For it not being busy our waitress only came to take our order and drop off our food. Never to check in. Which is surprising for Napa/Sonoma where the service is always on point(5 Stars)! As for the breakfast menu, it was lacking. They tried to add some«cool» names to make it sound more fancy and exotic. When the food came it was just basic. You get your eggs, over cooked bacon and toast all for $ 18! Be aware: Prices do not reflect the quality of appearance or depth of taste. I had the eggs Benedict with hollandaise on the side. Surprising the hollandaise was homemade and fresh. They gave me a huge thick piece of ham which didn’t compliment the tiny slices of English muffin. The hash-browns are good but again basic… If you’re in the area, it’s a good place to at least try! Order the doughnuts, they come out warm and melt in your mouth. Tastes like beignets but with brown sugar instead of powdered. Side note, orange juice is freshly squeezed.

I’ve never been to Napa. Either the money wasn’t there, my car wouldn’t make it, or I just simply never had it in me to just get up and go. It wasn’t planned but after I got on HWY17, leaving Santa Cruz, I had my heart set on having lunch here. Neither of my kids have been to Napa. This brief lunch was surely special to me. Lots of traffic and parking is terrible but after I parked, I felt a sense of peace and tranquility. The hustle and bustle I go through daily makes it difficult to relax but I totally did not think about the idiots on the road or the fact that there was a 45 minute wait — I was actually calm throughout the entire ordeal. After we were seated, I was already ready to order. I had a chance to look at the menu in depth but because I was on a no sugar detox, I did not have many choices however, my Kobe beef burger w/a salad(no buns) was delicious! They actually cooked it rare! It was so juicy and flavorful. I added mushrooms and avocado which made the dish even better. The salad and vinaigrette was cool and refreshing. Tess wanted the bird’s nest. Gavin wanted the pasta. It did not take much to satisfy us; besides the ambiance and obvious awesome service, the food tasted great. It did take super long to get my bill but sitting there, watching other patrons enjoy their company and food was somehow relaxing. Like people watching! Super glad I finally went to Napa. More trips soon.

We decided to have our anniversary breakfast at The Boon Fly Café. Located at the Carneros Inn, it is a small cozy café with good ambiance. I haven’t had Eggs Benedict for ages so I opted for their Boon Fly Benedict while Clarice chose their Chilaquiles. We also tried their famous doughnuts and Spicy Bacon Bloody Mary to wash it down. Boon Fly’s food is on point: eggs were poached correctly, accompanied by a huge slab of ham. Both me and Clarice very much licked their Chilaquiles. Those wanting to try it out, please add chorizo, it is almost a requirement for a fantastic Chilaquiles. Their famous doughnuts were good. Bloody Mary was alright(not a B.M. drinker anyhow) but it is amazing that the bacon did not wither submerged in the drink. The Boon Fly Café is a good option to start of things in Napa.

This is a very neat café for breakfast and brunch! It’s located right off of the 12 Sonoma Highway and you won’t miss it because it’s literally a huge red barn. I was slightly disappointed Clifford the Big Red Dog wasn’t there. Getting a table wasn’t a problem for a weekday morning but people, probably locals, were coming in and out. Our waitress recommended the donuts and I’m glad she did! Bite sized fluffy pieces of fried dough covered in cinnamon and sugar. They came out piping hot too so it was definitely fresh. Not sure if made to order but at least it seemed that way. Next, I opted for the breakfast flatbread though it felt more like a personal pizza! It came with nice applewood smoked bacon, mozzarella, and caramelized onions. Two eggs done sunny side up rounded out the huge dish. The different flavors and texture of the ingredients really complimented each other. I sprinkled hot sauce on my slices because I like things hotter than most and highly recommend everyone try it that way!

Was expecting more from this place from all the hype? Idk, seems just like another breakfast café to me. Don’t get me wrong, their food is good but kind of limited on the choices? I ordered their eggs benedict, which was good, tasted like any other eggs benedict, also ordered chocolate chip pancakes, which were also okay, and of course tried their famous donuts. I LOVE donuts but I don’t understand the hype of these? They were good but not amazing. Its Napa so it was a bit pricey for breakfast food and it was about a 45 minute wait… maybe this place is too hyped up. Overall, our breakfast was pleasant, minus the wait. It’s a small café and no space to wait inside so theres a gigantic crowd hovering the front door at all times. Thoughtfully, they have heaters outside and a coffee station for the wait. The staff was also very pleasant, including the busboys and our waitress Tamara. Tamara was helpful, friendly, and quick. It’s good to try if you haven’t been but I don’t think its worth the long wait and money.

A very cute place, but surprised me that it wasn’t big inside, so make reservation! However, the seat spacing are very comfortable! Love the modern barn style feel! We all ordered crispy brussel sprouts with mustard seed, and wow it is so delicious! My favorite! Absolutely the dish to die for! On the other hand, the kobe burger is okay since brussel sprouts stole the show: P I also love the donuts everyone Unilocal about – the chocolate is sort of bitter, which complimented the donuts well. But many people of my group love the banana pudding, which is also delicious!

Yummmmm! This no reservations, walk in only(and open bar seating) brunch spot is on point. From little fried doughnuts that you dip into hot chocolate at your leisure, to locally sourced burgers with crispy string fries, green eggs, Benedict, and mimosas and tons of hot teas, everyone will find something in this spacious restaurant. It feels like you’re seated in a family kitchen with cozy tables with lots of space(aka privacy) between tables and and high ceilings. And then like you’re a guest with the chefs, hostess, waitress, and others roaming delicately and discretely around to make sure you’re every need is met. And the food– delish! One draw back: the juice on the menu is not fresh, so skip the juice. Come here for a homey, delish brunch that will appeal to everyone. It’s worth the(short) wait!

My experience at Boon Fly Café was one of those really frustrating ones, where there was kinda equal good and bad and I’m left shrugging my shoulders like this guy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ unsure if I would ever return, not that it was bad. Ugh! Ok, here’s the scoop. Our group of 4 came here for late lunch on a Saturday and were seated quickly, though our table was kinda jammed in a corner and was honestly far more suited to a party of 2. But I guess beggars can’t be choosers. I do not understand the world’s obsession with brunch, especially on BOTH weekend days. I know people love it, but it irks me — I would far prefer to have a more elaborate lunch menu than a couple sandwich choices alongside a load of egg dishes. So much meh. But the majority of our pack wanted burgers, and they had two on the menu so that was a good start. The other 3 ordered a donut each to try(I wasn’t interested) but our server brought us 4 anyway, and then ultimately didn’t charge us for them — so that was nice! It’s weird to eat a donut as an appetizer, so right but so wrong. Their little donuts were warm, sugary and yummy, but again, that’s not what I came here for. So the two burger options are a Kobe beef burger, priced at $ 18, and a grass-fed beef burger priced at $ 16. That’s a steep price tag for a burger, even in wine country, but at least I know the beef should be good quality. I opt for the more appealing grass-fed beef, and was dismayed to see all toppings beyond the basic vegetables were $ 2 extra apiece. I would have loved to smother my burger in cheese, bacon, avocado and mushrooms, but that would have made it a $ 24 burger(F that!), so I settled for a medium rare burger topped with a slice of cheddar, with a side of fries. When the burger arrived, they’re lucky they delivered it to someone who appreciates a rare cook because DAMN that sucker was almost mooing. Delightfully so but that cook(see the pic) could easily horrify the wimpy. The fries were fresh but very lackluster, shoestring thin so they had crunch but lacked creaminess, and there wasn’t much potato flavor to enjoy. I also requested a little cup of ranch for my fries which was brought no problem, but I only found out when the bill came that it cost $ 1 extra. WTF… thanks for telling me, what a ripoff. So while overall the meal was fine, I don’t think it was worth the price, and I’m not a fan at all of being nickel & dimed on the extras, especially without warning. I would return on an invite, but not on my own.

I’m back again after so many years! This time, for the Mid Day menu and the donuts which I apparently missed out on last time. Five stars for the warm and welcoming service! Thank you for accommodating us and the birthday girl on her 30th. We initially had plans to come here for 6pm dinner reservations after visiting Domaine Carneros and Artesa, but the rain put a small dent in our plans, and being turned away rudely at Artesa punched a hole in it. We called Boon Fly Café to see if they could seat us for the Mid Day dining(3−5pm) instead of dinner, and they immediately invited us over. Hubby and I both ordered the Kobe beef burger. I recommend the burger with an over easy egg, and pair with a glass of red wine. Burger patty itself seems to be lacking in salt a bit, but the fries are heavily coated in salt so it balances out I guess? But eating the fries on their own, I found them to be too salty. Friends ordered other dishes including the BLT and the salmon flatbread. No complaints besides the saltiness. Our table also shared the famous cinnamon sugar donuts. They are served freshly warm and they are amazing. Chocolate dipping sauce is not included during Mid Day, but it is at dinner. They can split checks here but only up to four ways.

Boon Fly Café(BFC) has been on my bookmark list for a while and finally got a chance to try it this past weekend. My friends and I(party of 6) got there around 1:30 — 2:00pm and the wait was about 25 mins, which isn’t bad for this place. BFC has thought about the potential wait time for its guests and provides complimentary coffee. So, of course, I got myself a cup. The time passed quickly and we were soon seated. We were starving and also on a time crunch to make it to our afternoon wine tasting. So, we ordered immediately and all the dishes came out less than 10 mins later. Amazing speed! I ordered green eggs and ham and absolutely loved it. It’s poached eggs with ham, lemon leek-cream and crispy hash browns. Yes, I know what you’re thinking. is it really lemony? Nope, it’s just a hint of lemon flavor, which really brings a touch of freshness and lightness to the dish. I ate everything and didn’t feel too overstuffed afterwards. Definitely a recommendation for those looking for an awesome brunch place! (16÷100)

We went here for the chicken and waffles… only to find out they do not serve it on weekends… bummer! I tried the B.E.L.T(Applewood Smoked Bacon, Two Eggs Any Style, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise on Sourdough) it was very good! They also let you sub the Chorizo in the breakfast burrito with bacon or sausage without additional charge. We also ordered the Four Boon Fly Donuts, super tasty but small portion! This place is on the pricey side and I wish they had a wider variety of food on their menu. Pretty long wait so get there early!

Mr. Joy took me here once. When we arrived, I thought: «Cool, a big red barn!» It looked like a picture out of a storybook. The interior has a wooden and stainless steel theme, and has an open kitchen. I would suggest making reservations, but they only take reservations for dinner. We waited a while on the deck outside on a Sunday afternoon. I didn’t mind since it was a warm, sunny day. It gave us time to hang out on the porch swing and people-watch. There were a lot of flies around. Whenever they landed on me, I just gave them a swat. Vineyards are a sweet place to be(literally), and flies are naturally attracted to that. No big deal. The menu was pretty typical, expensive brunch food. $ 9.75 Donuts Baker’s Dozen: Good miniature doughnuts, fluffy and doughy, and dusted in powdered sugar. I’m not a huge doughnut lover, but Mr. Joy wanted to get doughnuts and said they’re kind of known for their doughnuts. Overpriced for about $ 1.30 per doughnut, though. $ 18 «Green Eggs and Ham» — Poached Farm Fresh Eggs Wrapped in Honey-Cured Ham, Lemon Leek-Cream on Crispy Hash Browns: I was lured by the name of the dish. The eggs and ham are not green, but they are covered in a green sauce. The lemon-leek cream had a mild flavor and wasn’t too thick. While I liked it, the plate was coated in green cream and made the dish unrecognizable to me. I really like poached eggs. When poached right, I love the soft texture of the egg whites and breaking into the runny yolk. It was satisfying breaking into one of the egg yolks, while the second egg yolk was cooked through. There was a generous amount of ham, which would have been great if I were a fan of ham. The hash browns were good. Most of it turned into soft, shredded potatoes, because all the hot ingredients and sauce on top took away the crunch. Another very expensive dish for very simple ingredients. $ 16 Kobe Beef Burger & Added Cheese for $ 2: Good burger but it wasn’t Kobe beef. The added cost of cheese is a stingy buzzkill. I don’t like when you have to pay to add cheese, because what is a burger without cheese? But I did like how the cheddar was melted over the patty. The patty was thick and juicy. The poppy-seed bun was nicely toasted and fluffy. The fresh vegetables were placed on the side. Good lettuce & tomatoes. I don’t like raw onions, so we left them off. I really need to remind myself to tell servers ‘no onions’ every time. The meal was not bad. The farm-like atmosphere was charming and the service was okay. It was nice to try once, but I probably wouldn’t return.

So yummy! Came on Presidents’ Day and they were serving the Sat/Sun brunch. We started with the donuts and boy they were good. I would have definitely bought more. We ordered the pull pork sandwich with a side Caesar salad and the Kobe burger with mushrooms with a side salad. Caesar had just the right amount of anchovy, dressing and romaine mixture. The Kobe burger was cooked to order and tasted amazing! It’s fairly pricey but well worth it. Service was on point. Servers courteous. Food came out hot and fast.

As I sit here, literally basking in euphoria from the delicious meal I just devoured, I couldn’t help but start writing this review. It’s been a while since I’ve had a meal that literally put a smile on my face from the first to last bite. We decided to come to Boon Fly Café as a recommendation from Jessica’s cousin as her and her husband mentioned that they come here whenever they are in town. Jess started off by ordering a Bloody Mary per usual when we’re trying new restaurants. Her goal is to find the best Bloody Mary in the world and as of this moment, she said that Boon Fly Café’s is by far the best she’s had in Nor Cal. I on the other hand, drank a Coke(Drinking and driving is bad kids). Before ordering, our waiter recommended that we try their freshly baked mini donuts. These were by far, the freshest and softest donuts you will ever have. They were so fluffy that they melted in your mouth. The waiter mentioned that these were made to order and you could tell that they were. Just as Jess is on the hunt for the best Bloody Mary, I’m on the hunt for the best Corn Beef Hash and I may have found it here. The Jalapeño Hollandaise sauce is life. You would think that it would add extreme spice to the dish but in fact it was a bit milder than I expected. The corn beef was cooked to perfection and the poached eggs(ordered them medium) were perfect. Did I forget to mention that these were served on top of spinach, Caramelized onions and a bed of Hash Browns. Now you can see why I had a smile on my face the whole time I was enjoying this dish. As for Jessica, she ordered the Boon Fly Benedict. Being the great girlfriend she is, she let me have a few bites. This dish consisted of thick cut grilled ham served on top of Pain Levain(sourdough bread) with Poached eggs and Jalapeño Sauce served on top of the ham. Hash browns were served as a side. This dish was A-Mazing. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The yolk and Hollandaise sauce mixed perfectly with the ham and sourdough bread. I must admit, I couldn’t decide which dish was better because they were both great in their own respects. The service we received was top notch and it really pushed our experience over the top. If I could give Boon Fly 6 stars I wouldn’t hesitate. In fact, I can’t wait to come back to try the Green eggs and Ham. To put it simply, I will make excuses from now on to visit Napa just to eat at Boon Fly Café. It really was the perfect start to our Valentine’s Day weekend.

2⁄14 Sunday Brunch date on Vday …(crowded as expected) 1st timer here… passed by this place a lot on the way to Napa, finally give it a go … Arrived 10:30 am-ish(estimated waiting time 1 hour 20 min per host) Hubby said: Are you kidding me!(I said, let’s see the food is worth the wait) Parking — Not much available(due to limited parking) Ambiance — Casual with a little noisy as my table pretty close to next table Service — Friendly Space — Bar table & a few tables(hoping more spaces as from outside the building look big) Food: — Hubby ordered Boon Fly Benedict $ 18 (Model Bakery Pain Levain, Thick Sliced Caggiano Ham, Poached Eggs, Jalapeño Hollandaise w/Crispy Hash Brown) It’s said with Jalapeño Hollandaise(DIDNOTTASTE any Jalapeño??)(Ham TOOTHICK per his liking & don’t taste great) Hash Brown Taste GREAT! I ordered Ohlone Smoked Salmon $ 17 (Fromage Blanc, Red Onions, Parmesan, Lemon Crème Frache) Since I don’t eat cheese skip Parmesan + Avocado instead. +Capers $ 2(Don’t came with it? I don’t get it smoked salmon normally came with capers, am I wrong?) — Side Hash Browns $ 4 Togo — Boon Fly Donut $ 1 each x 4 = $ 4 (Smallest donut EVER! Not that special per my opinion) OVERALL — Lots of people order cocktail(if you love to sips cocktails while waiting for your table) — They SHOULD serve their Waffle Fried Chicken in Weekends Brunch Menu due to too much eggs dish in Mains. — Grilled Salmon on salad will be nice? Not much healthy choice? — Little OVERED price for the main dish menu.

I’ve been noticing a pattern here. We visit Napa, we visit Boon Fly. We visit Napa, we visit Boon Fly. We decided to come back for brunch a second time because we had a delicious experience the first time. And it was even better. We didn’t have to wait during our second visit. The first visit, we waited about 20 minutes until we saw two seats available in the bar area. We got lucky I guess. If we waited for our table, it would have been another 20 minutes. Sitting at the bar was nice. The Bartender was entertaining as he made our bacon infused Bloody Mary. The regulars at the bar were very friendly and gave some food recommendations. And we were not disappointed… The Bloody Mary is a meal in itself… with all the basic food groups concocted into a glass. I can taste why the Boon Fly Baker’s Dozen is «world famous.» These mouthwatering fresh mini donuts pair well with their cup of joe. And it’s impossible to just have one… believe me. We requested a side of chocolate dip, since it’s only offered on the dinner menu. Heavenly. The Corned Beef Hash is my favorite brunch dish here. I rarely get corned beef anywhere except my mom’s kitchen. But I would come back just for this local favorite. And it’s perfect for sharing, especially if you indulge in a Baker’s Dozen together. During our second visit, we decided to order a Baker’s Dozen, of course. Along with a Bloody Mary and two entrees this time. Yes, we had leftovers. With plenty of honey-cured ham and a noticeable presence of lemon leek cream, their Green Eggs and Ham dish was quite exquisite… not your ordinary food-colored eggs with sliced ham. Poppa Joe’s Eggs in a Hole is the kind of dish that you can’t forget because of its uniqueness. Two fried eggs fused in the center of sliced buttery sourdough bread. Impressive when you see it, more impressive when you eat it… with sausage and crispy hash browns… a well balanced meal. I can’t wait to go back to Napa. I know what will happen when I do.

Donuts. Obsessed. Just get them. Their donuts were the perfect start to brunch. Pillowy, soft, melt in your mouth, cinnamon and sugar covered goodness. My family ordered a dozen while waiting for our table, then ordered another dozen when we were seated. It’s easy to eat several because they’re bite sized. I would also recommend: — Corned beef hash: Definitely not your mushy heap of corned beef and potatoes from a can. I loved that they gave a generous portion of corned beef. I didn’t get a strong taste of jalapeño in the jalapeño hollandaise though. — Green eggs and ham: Loved the crispy hash browns and lemon-leek cream! Prices are steep at $ 15-$ 18 for brunch entrees and $ 9.75/dozen donuts or $ 1/donut. Then again, you would expect such prices in the Napa Valley. The quality and taste is worth it to me. Super cute interior and bench swings on the porch make for cute pictures. They also have a coffee stand on porch for your drinking pleasure while you wait for a table! Boon Fly Café’s donuts are definitely a must for me on any future trips to Napa.

A friend and I wanted to find a place in Napa that had chicken and waffles, found this place from Unilocal and had pretty good reviews, so we tried it out. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. But the only thing good that came out from this experience was our waiter, Luis. He was very nice and generous. But other than that, the customers and the people around us were very rude. Not trying to be racist, but everyone who were eating in the restaurant were all Caucasians. Me and my friend are both Filipino and we were getting A LOT of dirty looks from everyone. People didn’t even want to sit next to us for some odd reason. This couple even moved away from us at one point, and another two even asked not to sit by us! How rude! THEN, my friend and I waited almost OVER an hour for our food. We both ordered the chicken and waffles, and when it finally came, it looked so delicious. But, the syrup they served with the waffles were very watered down. PLUS, you can taste nothing but Tabasco sauce when you eat the chicken! They must have put a lot of Tabasco sauce in the chicken batter, it was an unusual and nasty taste. DISGUSTING. ANDTOMAKEITEVENWORSE, while my friend was eating her chicken she noticed blood on her hand… Unfortunately it was the chicken! The chicken she was eating was still bloody and uncooked! Very very bad because eating that could’ve made her sick, good thing we noticed before she swallowed! I do not recommend this place for the environment and food. Just my opinion.

Visited the Boon Fly the day after Christmas. The place was absolutely hopping around 10am when we got there. They do not accept reservations, to be prepared to wait. Since this was the end of December, they do have heaters outside to help warm you while you wait. Located within the Carneros Inn, albeit on the one end, and along Highway 12. Parking is extremely tight and sparse. When you enter the ‘road’ to the Boon Fly, your best bet is to hang a left and look for parking as parking next to the café is tough slugging. It is so tight that somebody driving an Escalade ‘accidentally’ hit the side of the building while attempting to park, oops, if it is too big to drive dude, park it and leave it. Ok, now to the fun part, the food. They have a wonderful menu for weekend brunch. A few great cocktails like a Bacon Bloody Mary, Mimosas and a few other hot ‘alcoholic’ drinks. They offer numerous types of coffee and teas if you want something without a little kick. We had the homemade donuts, which were absolutely fantastic. Our group loaded up on breakfast burritos, Poppa Joes Eggs in a hole and the Grass fed beef burger. In addition we ordered up plenty of bacon, ham steak and apple sausage. Wow, perfect food after a day of ‘adult beverages’. The menu is quite diverse and really appetizing, so many options to choose from. The food was absolutely delicious. If you are patient and willing to wait for a table, the Boon Fly Café is a great stop. Though a tad small, it is a great place with a wonderful staff. Lots on the menu to appease anybody in your group.

If you navigate by this place on the Carneros Hwy(aka Hwy 12), just outside Napa and you don’t notice it, you are either drunk(a good possibility since you *are* in wine country), or blind, or colorblind. And hey, why are you driving anyway? Delegate. This Napa style, modern roadhouse is distinctly RED. So red, if you placed a fire truck in front of it, it would be lost in camouflage. I hate it when someone says, they have the best [insert name here] everrrrrr! But, the reason you should not even have second thought about stopping is because they have possibly one of the best ever corned beef hash breakfasts everrrrrrr. There. I said it. I am ashamed. So shoot me. House-Made Corned Beef(thinly sliced, tender and moist), Crispy Hash Browns, Spinach, Grilled Onions, Poached Eggs, and Hollandaise– for $ 18. I ate half of it, and it wasn’t even mine. Cheshire cat smile time. Truth be told, my recent desire for«healthy» and distaste for«meat» has prompted a turn around in ordering habits. Organic Yogurt with House Made Granola with berries added– $ 10, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries. This one was mine, and since Mr. B was scarfing down his and did not wish any of mine, it was mostly delegated to a take home container. That does not mean it was not good. It did not disappoint. Well, until I tasted the corned beef. OK. Busted. So I lied… twice. I got a side of bacon– $ 6, but since when is bacon delegated to the«meat» category? It is part of the candy food group. Thankfully, this one was one of those I could easily say nope to. Not bad, only so so. It was carefully packaged and recycled into a blood sugar emergency kit. Great coffee, always a plus, but that is to be expected when you are in Napa, a fancy schmancy place that is putting on a rural look. Great service, too. Not overly doting, most efficient, food came out fast. But then, we were there on a week day and the crowds were noticeably missing. Yeah. I would return. I just don’t live anywhere near there.

The Boon Fly Café has been on my radar for some time. The décor has a real homey feel to it. Very family friendly like one of those country cooking shows. Not Giada but that Pioneer Women show. First thing first, order those donuts and a full baker’s dozen. Everyone will be fighting for them especially when they are hot. I had the Poppa’s egg in the hole and I was somewhat disappointed. Not that it tasted bad, but for the $ 16 price tag for bacon, eggs, hash brown, and toast is ridiculous. I know it’s Napa and they can charge these prices for something that is simple. The kids got the green eggs and ham. They really liked it and even had me try to recreate it at home. Four entrees, donuts, and two adult drinks came out to $ 120 before tips. I am leaving it at three stars for now… May be back for another day.

The Boon Fly Café is a casual, roadside restaurant that looks like a big red barn. They are mostly a breakfast/brunch place but are famous for donuts and burgers! The wait was supposed to be 30 minutes on a Wednesday afternoon but the line moves fast and we got in within 15 minutes. I liked how they installed powerful heat lamps on the patio outside along with free coffee while you wait. Apparently, they have their cinnamon-sugar mini donuts as appetizers, not dessert! We ordered 4 and it came in a cute metal pail. Excellent donuts! Hot and soft — perfect with coffee. I got the pulled pork sandwich with a side of mixed greens. Pork was tender with larger chunks(pulled and not totally shredded!), which was great. The mustard sauce was a bit too strong for my liking though. The wife’s Kobe Beef Burger(cooked medium) was outstanding — large, super juicy, and just beefy. She added avocado and mushrooms which made the burger even better. Fries were thinly-cut and crispy but not oily. Lastly, the homemade pickles were plump and tart — perfect palate cleanser.

After seeing the rave reviews of Boon Fly Café, I knew it was a must for a Napa trip! We came here for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated immediately. I ordered a bacon bloody mary to start. WOWZA. This thing was super bold and flavorfull. I loved it, but bf wasn’t a fan. We also ordered 2 of their donuts to try. Bf decided on the chicken and waffles and I got the smoked salmon flatbread. The donuts were good. They’re fresh and the perfect size for just a bite. The chicken and waffles were AMAZINGGGGG. By far the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! The chicken was perfectly crisp and seasoned, and the waffles were nice and sweet! If you’re here, this is a MUST! Note: Available only on weekdays. The smoked salmon flatbread was incredibly good as well, loved how all the flavors were really balanced. Prices are on the higher end, but portions are large so it’s worth it. Service was very attentive and incredibly friendly!

Wine tasting on an empty stomach is never a good idea. After our first stop at Hess we were looking for some good eats. Boon Fly Café sounds like the name of some hole in the wall country breakfast café right? Wrong! This is a super yummy modern restaurant that’s affiliated with the swanky hotel on property. Luckily there’s ample parking. We started with the famous donuts and a coffee. This coffee/donut deal comes with four donuts. The other option is a dozen. The donuts were so light and yummy. We ordered the chilaquiles, eggs benedict and a flatbread pizza for the table to share. Chilaquiles was an awesome vegetarian option. The chips were dressed in a red salsa that gave it a Doritos nacho cheese vibe, but obviously better. Eggs cooked to perfection and avocado is always a good idea. We chose the mushroom, bacon, blue cheese pizza and the toppings were generous. I didn’t want to share any of the pizza it was SO good. I didn’t have any eggs benedict because there was a super thick piece of ham on it that looked gross to me. I’m not a huge fan of ham. Each dish was about $ 18. Everything was awesome but I’m not sure that the eggs benny portion is worth $ 18. Then we ordered three desserts. The smores brownie(served in a skillet). The pumpkin spice bread pudding and the apple galette. All three dishes were served a la mode. The ice creams changed my life. The apple galette had a apple spice ice cream that packed a punch of delicious apple flavor. My friend also ordered the adult eggnog which was also delicious and I don’t even like eggnog. The bill came out to $ 100. Which was gladly split four ways. Our compliments to the kitchen staff, bartender and the pastry chef! Can’t wait to come back to Boon Fly, the BLT at the table next to me really caught my attention. Next time!

You have to go here! It’s fantastic. !! Start to finish! I love the way they have transformed the building into a really cozy and unique place to get a glass of wine or have a lunch or dinner. It’s located at Carneros. Vineyards and resort. The service is great. Caring and attentive. It’s a casual atmosphere. You can just stop in or make plans to have an excellent meal in a comfortable setting. The food is so good ! Fantastic!!! Prices are reasonable too. My arugula salad was the best ever !! The dressing the soft boiled egg. And very fresh. ! Put it on your list!

Cute breakfast spot! Really adored the bench swings outside of the restaurant. Breakfast was delightful but a little overpriced for the portions given. We ordered: 1) Four Boon Fly Donuts and a Cuppa Joe — donuts were tasty but nothing special 2) Poppa Joe’s Eggs in a Hole — my fave! The sourdough bread with fried egg were so good! 3) The Boon Fly American — Eggs could have used more salt but bacon was extra crispy 4) Applewood Smoked Bacon(as a side) — not worth the extra $ 6 No complaints about the service. They were friendly and fast. In hindsight, I’d be back for more Poppa Joe’s Eggs in a Hole. Something about that sourdough bread! Yum!

Freakin amazing breakfast! So good I am trying to figure out a way to move to Napa so I can eat there all the time! Great service — cute décor — nice staff — overall WONDERFUL place! Jalapeño Eggs Benedict sounds weird, but it’s not — get it! The hash browns are so buttery and amazing that even though we were both full, we forced ourselves to finish all of it. The donuts — my friend said they were the best ever, I don’t like donuts, so I didn’t partake. They sure were cute though! Poppa Joe’s Eggs in a Hole — Wow! Eggs in toast, ok, no big deal. No, here, they are. Amazing! I got a side of bacon too… They brought us five or six pieces! Nobody does that. Normally a side is two pieces. Boon Fly, you got it going on. I want to go back to Napa more to eat at your restaurant than I do to taste more wine.
