Change the menu already! We’ve been staying at Carneros for years and enjoy the property and amenities but we’ve noticed a decline in the overall food quality. I’m really surprised that they don’t change up the menu every season. What possible excuse could they have being smack in the middle of the freshest produce, quality protein, and the best dairy products. I’m not coming back if I see Jadori chicken on the menu… again. It will be game over.

The service was excellent, the foods are 3 – 3.5 stars, wines list and cocktails are 4. Overall, a good place to try and I had this bookmarked forever. Our favorite dish was the risotto and the other dishes are average. The TOR Chardonnay was delicious. Not a place I would come back again but glad I tried it once. We had beautiful weather and sat on the patio for dinner.

Great service, delicious from the farm to you table food. The venue itself is a rustic elegance, that has a great outdoor space. Like anything you would expect from Napa… things goes smoothly here.

Not only was our dinner amazing, the staff did a really great job at helping us celebrate my partner’s birthday(just from a little note that I left in my OpenTable reservation). The restaurant is quintessential Napa Valley and I have yet to try one thing on the menu that was anything short of phenomenal. I highly recommend starting with the oysters and have had the caramelized diver scallops twice now because they’re so good. Be sure to show up early or stay a little while after to enjoy walking around the resort grounds if you haven’t already.

We were staying at the carneros inn, and decided to try FARM for dinner one of the nights. We booked a reservation for an 8 pm dinner well in advance, and showed up right on time. This restaurant has a very rustic feel, actually feels like you are eating in a very dressed up barn. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, they gave us complimentary glasses of champagne upon being seated. The champagne was a nice touch, and we looked over the wine and food menu. There were some decent items on the menu, but nothing that really wowed either me or my wife. I had one of the bourbon cocktails off of the special cocktails list, and it was decent. Now, we each ordered an appetizer, a middle pasta course, two entrees, and they comped a dessert for us. However, the portions were pretty small, and we weren’t exactly full after the meal was over. The pasta dish was one of the tiniest I’ve ever had. Having been to the French laundry the night before, I understand the idea of small plates, but I didn’t realize that we should have ordered more food. The service was good, and the drinks were good, as I also went for a glass of Zinfandel. Our table was a corner table inside the restaurant across from the fireplace, although there is outdoor seating available under a covered area. There is also an outdoor patio area with live entertainment at night; there was live music the night we went. Cool spot on the patio to have a glass of wine and enjoy the couches, firepits, and music. There was also an inside bar/lounge area, but we were seated immediately upon getting to the restaurant and didn’t make our way over there. May be a bit unfair that this was our last dinner after 11 nights straight of eating out, and we weren’t exactly dying to eat and drink a ton, but still, nothing really wowed us. It was good, and that’s about it. If ever back in the Napa area, id likely try somewhere else, maybe bouchon. Also, I dressed in jeans and a button down shirt with loafer style shoes and fit in perfectly, I believe my wife wore jeans as well and was appropriately dressed.

My experience at the FARM was perfect! Reservations were easy, the servers were extremely friendly and the grounds were beautiful. There’s a nice patio outside of the restaurant to hang out at before or after dinner. I’m guessing families normally spend some time here as they have many rentable cabins on the grounds. We ordered a la carte and the food tasted as wonderful as it looked.

The Farm impressed me in many ways. From drinks to dinner to the well rounded service, this place has won a special place in my heart. It started on a early Sunday evening, when my significant other and I were deciding on a place to eat in Napa. We arrived here about 5pm and the dining room was not open for another thirty min. We sat in the bar area and both enjoyed a small snack and a black and blue mule. The ambience was perfect, classy but not too fancy and the place was not to loud and not too quiet, but perfect enough to still be intimate. Drinks were delicious! I have had a lot of different variations of the Moscow mule and this one was by far one of the best. Not to bitter and not overly sweet, it was a drink we both could enjoy. We decided to sit outside for dinner and though it started getting a little chilly they had heaters and were able to adjust the temperature for us as well. They had a wedding party at the facility so we saw people enjoying games they had and kids all dressed up running around in the grass. We shared the FARM salad which by surprise was very tasty for how simple it was! Mixed greens, radishes, shaved cheese topped with a light vinaigrette. We both opted for the NY strip which we both substituted the radishes for asparagus. I loved the presentation and the portion, and it tasted as good as it looked. From the side of mushrooms with diced bacon bits and the mashed potatoes the steak laid on top of, everything tastes well crafted and unique. I was stuffed and couldn’t finish my meal but was tempted to still have dessert! I love sorbets and I was excited to try theirs. We shared a port dessert wine and a trio of sorbets which consisted of a blackberry, raspberry and a chocolate sorbet. All very delicious. After dinner we went out to the front patio and shared a dirty martini by the fire. We cuddled up under blankets they provided and were able to share intimate talks and cozy up. I enjoyed the evening very much and it was all thanks to the FARM at Carneros Inn. We will definitely come back and enjoy another date night here soon.

Came here for dinner after a few wine tastings in Napa Valley. We ordered 4 appetizers and 3 entrees. Every dish was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Would highly recommend stopping by here for dinner if you’re in napa. Definitely get the suckling pig and the beef tartare.

I had a pleasant time at the Farm. Finally had a chance to dine at this beautiful venue and great service. Definitely perfect for date night or hanging out at the outdoor sitting area with a few friends while enjoying some wine. We started our night with some delicious refreshing cocktails. Mom had lavender and lemon, and I had blonde bombshell. Continued with the lobster salad… very nice and light. I had the Suckling Pig for main course. It was nicely done, tasty, crispy skin and I think it was the winner ;). Then ended the night with right side pineapple cake. Enjoyed overall experience… And yes pricey… But it’s worth for a nice experience.

I really wanted this restaurant to be great. I wanted to give it at least three stars but I just couldn’t. Pros: the cocktail and wine ordered were perfect. The dark and stormy with muddled berries is my new favorite drink. The atmosphere and general restaurant décor was beautiful. Picturesque in beautiful Napa Valley. The spring panzanella was on point, beautifully prepared and delicious as was the foie gras appetizer. The bread was delicious as well. Cons: the service was slow, very slow. The smoked salmon rillettes were like bad cat food and they only served it with one cracker. If you serve enough to feed multiple people you may want to add more crackers. The fish entrée was poorly prepared and overcooked. The menu looks great but is poorly executed. The women’s restroom is lovely but there is nowhere inside the stall to hang your coat or purse. Fail. The server did not offer to take my coat for me but gladly offered to the other woman who shortly walked in afterwards. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend this to anyone traveling to Napa? No.

Summary: Great service, very well thought out menu, but unfortunately caused my wife food poising. Management was very helpful. PROS: + Excellent kitchen staff who create beautiful and tasty plates of food. + Top notch service. + The food is clean, tasty, and fresh. + Classy and modern ambiance. CONS: — My wife got severe food poisoning, which unfortunately happens. This was her birthday meal, and we were forced to cancel all other birthday weekend activities. I called the restaurant to let them know and they were at first a bit slow to get back to me. Once they did, the manager was very diligent to ensure I was looked after. Though no one else was impacted, he and the chef ensured no inventory from that night was reused and did additional quality checks. He also is taking steps to ensure they get back to customers with issues in a more prompt fashion. I am not seeking a refund or a comped meal. I only wanted the restaurant to acknowledge that they may have served something that could harm their customers and they are responding above and beyond my expectations. It’s hard to know what caused the food poisoning as she had the 5 course tasting menu. I would still recommended this restaurant despite the issue as this could happen to anyone at any restaurant. I appreciate the staff for making amends and for caring about their customers’ well being. UPDATE05⁄09: I was able to speak to a manager and he is following up on the incident to ensure that nothing was amiss. I’ve updated my star rating to 4 stars. Only a 1-star miss since my wife got sick. I’m hoping it was an isolated incident, which happens. I’m happy that management followed up with me and is taking the matter seriously.

What a great concept — fine dining in the countryside with estate-grown ingredients! Perfect date place, quiet, cozy and elegant with an element of country feel in the décor, but crispy white table linens, fine china and stemware make it feel like a special night! We got the 7 course tasting menu and they were flexible, at my request they replaced one of the items for«foie gras hot & cold». No regrets there it was one of the best presentations of foie gras I ever had! They brought out complimentary bread which was warm and just amazing! Every course was polished and well-structured, prepared to perfection and garnished with fresh herbs! The potato soup with black caviar and crispy(yet so juicy) halibut in savory broth — particularly stole my heart. Wine pairing was very interesting… and why not add another wine tasting to your day in Napa?! I was impressed with their wine list overall. The service was absolutely wonderful. We got a great table and everything was served on time. Although we were served by a few wonderful folks, our main waiter was especially great, knowledgeable in food and wine, friendly and accommodating Heaven in Napa :)

The drive to this place is really beautiful so please take some extra time to explore if you can. We only had our car rental for the day so we managed to visit a few areas before our dinner reservation. We were greeted with warm and friendly smiles as soon as walked in and were seated immediately(by the fireplace). Since our trip to CA(originally planned for our wedding anniversary in May) had to be bumped up into an early anniversary trip, I informed them we were in town for our anniversary and they greeted us with a letter from their staff with well wishes. What a wonderful surprise! All of our servers were wonderful from the start of dinner to the end. We opted for the tasting menu(my husband’s first!) and he truly enjoyed the experience. Everything from the caviar to the pot de crème was delicious. I, personally, am not a fan of squab so that was the only course I did not enjoy. My husband also said the flavor on my squab were different from what he had. The wine pairings with his meal were really wonderful and they did a good job selecting the complimentary flavor. I think my husband is now hooked with trying to find the right wine for his meals. Haha! The only reason I gave 4 stars is that there is quite a bit of work being down on the parking grounds by the restaurant so it’s a bit confusing to see where we could/could not park. Other than that, I would recommend checking out this restaurant and definitely try the tasting menu as it represents many of the flavors on their a la carte menu.

I came to Farm for dinner and I was impressed with the ambiance, quality of food, and service. The staff was very attentive and the courses came out in a very timely manner. I had the pork belly as my appetizer and the duck as my entrée. It was a wonderful meal and I was thrilled with the creativity of the dishes and how flavorful each bite was. Additionally, the dishes were very beautiful. To finish my meal, I had the cake pudding for dessert. It came with a beer sorbet and a basil sauce. I was impressed with how the dessert came together. I would recommend this place to people who appreciate fine dining. This is also a very romantic date spot. The restaurant is intimate and quiet so you can have a relaxing time.

We chose FARM for our one year anniversary dinner and we were(and still are) very happy with our decision! From beginning to end, our experience was enjoyable and relaxing. Upon entering, they seated us promptly and gave us an anniversary card followed by complimentary champagne. Thank you for the nice touch! The atmosphere was chic and modern but not stuffy. We had a comfortable corner table and were able to have an intimate dinner. We chose to go with the tasting menu so that we could sit back and enjoy the chef’s talents. There were seven courses total, and it was more than enough to fill us up. By the sixth course, we were stuffed, so we had to pack the rest to go! Notable dishes: caviar, lobster, and squab were my favorite My least favorite was the cheese course– I prefer my cheese paired with something sweet like fruit, but theirs was more of a savory pairing with mole sauce and spices(red pepper included). Interesting, but not for me. We absolutely loved the chocolate dessert. Even though we were stuffed, we devoured all of it! Couple of things I noticed: –There are no amuse bouches or intermezzos. –In between courses, they don’t scrape crumbs off your table like they usually do at other fine dining restaurants. Not a biggie for me, though. We loved our experience and highly recommend dining here for special occasions!

Beautiful venue. Pre-requisite: Must be tall. Gorgeous venue. Interesting how many tall people we saw– servers, patrons… Beautifully presented food. Ordered the day scallops. They were accompanied by soft, pillow potato gnocchi, steamed savoy cabbage, sun choke purée, and a few maitake mushrooms. While the scallops were soft, the dish seemed mono chromatic in taste, color and texture. Wish there was some contrast in all the above. Something to make it shine and taste as good as it looked. $ 36 ish Hubs ordered the Jidori chicken, on a bed of lentils and greens. Tasty, but the chicken was a bit dry. Maybe it was an off night, since all the other reviewers seem to love it. Service was ok, but not terribly personable. Had to ask for bread a few times. Dessert was interesting. A lemon cake w/beet sorbet and basil pesto. Interesting combo. Loved the rustic taste and originality, but probably not something I would crave or order again. Hubs had a chocolate dessert($ 15?). Beautifully presented, but nothing memorable in taste. Was hoping the food would blow me away. For the price, taking off a star. Presentation was beautiful, ambiance elegant, but food was just good, in my opinion.

Farm at Carneros is a beautiful restuarant. I am in love with the ambiance and their food! My hubby surprised me with a romantic birthday here. I must say, I was impressed(not just by my hubby) but of this restuarant. The elegance of the place puts you in awe. I loved loved loved our table… corner booth by the fireplace. I felt like we were in our little world. My husband requested this booth, and wasn’t sure if we were going to get it, and they pulled through. Our reservation was for 745 and we arrived early. We planned to get a drink at the bar, but they were able to seat us immediately. Upon sitting, our fabulous host Katie, offered us complimentary champagne because it was my birthday and she greeted me as well :). Looking over the menu, we went with the 7 course tasting menu. Though i was hesitant because some of the fancy food on there I have never had… but hey, it was my birthday and might as well try, right? LOVED: Caviar Pork Belly(not on the tasting menu, but we ordered) Sea urchin(over pasta– yuuuum!) Filet mignon Beet cake(not part of tasting menu– wish it was!) Chocolate & Carmelia momo WINE: Laird Pinot Grigio SERVICE: Amazing! Katie was super nice and took the time to make us feel at home. Liked: Lobster Carpaccio Almond Biscott(not part of tasting menu) Not a fan, but glad I tried it: Squab Wrapped Cheddar My overall experience here was superb. For the occasion, they really know how to make you feel special. Amazing service, location, impressive restaurant. Next time I want to stay at the Carneros Inn(hubby and I plan to!).

The Farm at Carneros Inn is a gorgeous restaurant, with outdoor seatings and fire pits and dark, intimate indoor seating with high ceilings. They even have a garden that supplies the produce used in the restaurant. We are light drinkers and asked the waitress to recommend appropriate wines by the glass to go with our menu choices. Wife got the Spetto, a blended White which was smooth and fruity to go with fish. I was planning a heartier chicken dish so I got the 3 Knights Malbec — an excellent red with a clean aftertaste. The sunchoke soup was unbelievably good. Mixed with pumpkin and homemade Lomo(Peruvian salted pork), it was so creamy and earthy. The Farm Salad was fresh and crispy with a light Asian Pear Vinaigrette dressing. A bit heavy on the butter lettuce but otherwise pretty good. I ordered Jidori Chicken for entrée, the second time in 2015 since I had it at Spago Beverly Hills in November. Farm’s version was far superior — crispy skin and cooked perfectly all the way through. Even the white meat was super juicy and well seasoned. Add in the black mushrooms, kale, and drizzle if truffle sauce and you have a complete meal. Wife got the crispy skin Tai(snapper) with carrots and artichokes. Its a much lighter, milder dish but the fish was cooked well and seasoned. The skin is especially good. For dessert, we shared the beet velvet cake with coconut shards. Excellent dessert — we couldn’t quite taste the beet with all that nice sweet cake mixed in but could definitely see the color! Very creative dessert!

Came to Napa for dinner on a whim with a couple co workers on a random Friday night. Criteria: 1. Good food 2. Great ambiance 3. No reservation required By the time we got here, the only 1⁄3 menus were still available for dinner so we sat at the bar and ordered from both, the Bar Menu and A La Carte Menu. Between the three of us we polished off the Carnaroli Risotto, Jidori Chicken, Liberty Duck Breast, Crispy Skin Tai Snapper, Crudo of Hamachi, and a seasonal dessert. No competition, the risotto and Jidori chicken were favorites across the board. The dessert was quite amazing too with a mix of different textures and flavor combinations. Everything was well balanced and enjoyable. The ambiance of this place is stunning. If the patio wasn’t reserved, it would have been lovely to sit by the fire pits for dinner; but seating was limited– especially without a reservation. Next time we fly to Napa again for dinner, I’ll be back!

It’s almost as if someone knew exactly what I loved eating and created a menu at FARM. FARM is located in Caneros Inn resort on the Sonoma Highway. The restaurant looks upscale, but not too stuffy or pretentious. After dinner, you’re welcome to sit outside for drinks around a modern looking fire pit. Glazed Pork Belly with apples and smoked Brussel Sprouts — everyone knows pork and apples go together, but FARM did it really well. It was perfectly balanced with the pork being slightly charred on the outside and soft on the inside. This was one of the best pork belly appees I’ve had. I love Brussel sprouts, so when they’re cooked well with a smoked taste, I’m happy! Lobster Risotto — Again, cooked perfectly, meaning the lobster wasn’t overdone in any way and the risotto wasn’t undercooked leaving the rice hard or overcooked to a mush. Delicious. Crispy Skin Tai Snapper with roasted Cauliflower and Spanish Chorizo — one of my friends thought it was too plain, but I enjoy fish more on the bland side so the natural flavors of the snapper comes through. I didn’t think it was bland at all and happily ate her portion. Farm Lamb — So incredibly mouth watering good. It wasn’t too gamey and was cooked medium rare. I wish I can recall exactly what was underneath, but I think it was eggplant with another type of vegetable. I couldn’t stop eating it. There was unfortunately no room for dessert, but I have no regrets. 5 stars for food, service and ambiance.
