I walked in and it was packed, so the hostess told us it was open seating in the bar. We walked over to the bar and took a seat. We were looking at the menu and I started with water while my friend decided on a cocktail. The waiter then rudely informed us that we could not sit at the bar because I wasn’t ordering a «real drink». At that point he took our menus from our hands and asked us to leave the bar since it was so packed. I was also bothered that a very young couple sat down next to us and he served them alcoholic beverages without asking for valid forms of identification to verify their age before serving them liquor. We got up and went to the hostess to explain what had just happened at the bar with the rude condescending waiter that booted us out of his section. I asked what we should do as far as seating because we still wanted to eat there. The hostess did not try to accommodate us or apologize for that server’s actions. We asked for a manager and she ignored our request, but perhaps she didn’t hear me… I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. Either way we ended up walking out and took our business to another restaurant where we were treated with courtesy. We will not be returning to BJ’s anytime in the near future.

I always try to give BJ’s a chance, but I’m always disappointed. The service here is HORRIBLE: The beers that they feature/list are never on tap, the last 3 times, it took literally 30 minutes or longer for our food to come out. Despite the horrible service, the food remains good and consistent. This BJ’s is lucky it gets customers even with its horrible service; most likely because the surrounding restaurants are crappy.

I normally love BJ’s but not today. We sat in the bar and had the worst service(it wasn’t busy at 2:45 on) our waiter seem to not like his job or us, no smile and Bad attitude. He never came to refill our water we had to asked, even though he passed us several times with the water jug. Basically he didn’t care about us everything we got we had to ask for! When we asked for our check received it never once did he ask if we wanted anything else like maybe dessert. We spoke with the manager he know the person we’re talking about like this had happened before. Come on BJ’s I know you can do better with your service!

I was very disappointed with the service tonight. One of the reasons we decided to go to dinner there tonight and not Fri-Sun was because we thought it would be less crowded and therefore better service. While the first part was correct, the second part was not. We were promptly seated and abandoned by our server(or so it felt at least). Our server would disappear for long periods of time. I understand(in talking to him) that 3 servers called in sick that evening. So our poor waiter was left running around covering more tables that he normally does. We requested apple juice for my niece a few times with our main server, once from a supportive server and once from someone who seemed like a manager of some sort. We waited about twenty minutes for our main server and supportive server to bring the juice. Our main server told us once he had to go check on if and the other time he said he did put in our juice order but that juice came from the bar and they had not done it yet. I know the bar was working… as I saw plenty of patrons in the bar and surrounding tables with alcoholic drinks. Maybe our juice was made a low priority since it didn’t make them as much money as the alcohol. After waiting twenty minutes with no juice we asked a manager for it and got our juice in 5 mins, right after our main server finally brought us our juice. Then we asked for soy sauce for my niece’s rice, that took another 15 minutes to come up. Tonight’s dinner was more waiting than eating which only took away from our family dinner experience. In the end the short staff was paid by a flustered waiter running around and hungry people at their tables. People hungry either from waiting for her food(if they were lucky) or waiting for their server go take their order(as was a majority of the tables. It would have been nice had management had a contingency plan in place to avoid such occurrences next time so that restaurant patrons don’t have to pay the price of the restaurant being short staffed. It will be a long while, if at all, before I return

Food was good but our waiter was very slow with food and drinks. I was done with my food by the time he brought my second drink. I wanted a third but he took to long so i said forget it

I really like BJ’s. My 3 stars are only because the Grilled Salmon I ordered had to be sent back, not once but twice. I finally just asked to have it removed from the check. I’ve had it here before and it was good. Maybe they were just having an off night but whoever was cooking the fish last night around 5PM needs a little refresher course. Otherwise the ribs were good and the Brussels sprout and kale salad was enjoyable. I tried a new BJ’s root beer and liked it too.

Its funny how all the reviews on here have comments about the horrible service when my experience was just the opposite! Came here late night after work with a girlfriend, and our server Ephraim(pretty sure not Ethan) was really cool. He told us how to get the $ 10 of a $ 35 bill on our phone and was super upbeat and friendly the entire time. I ordered an ahi tuna salad and told him not to include a bunch of things, as I’m a super picky eater. When I received my salad and began eating, I noticed there was still some cilantro inside. I don’t know if he forgot to tell them, or they picked it out shoddily, but I absolutely can’t stand the taste of even a little bit of cilantro. I didn’t want to be that difficult customer, but I ended up telling him and he was super cool about it and said he would take it back and bring me something else. I really liked that he didn’t make me feel guilty about being so picky or act annoyed. I then ordered the flat bread, which was pretty good ! All in all, I had a pretty good experience here, and was pleased with what I ordered as well as the service.

I visited BJ’s on my birthday 3÷22÷16 the food was good but you can see the servers were overwhelmed. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The only problem was having to ask for silverware a few times so we canstart eating. I had my daughter with me and she ordered the kids mac and cheese which was dry and didn’t look so appetizing our waiter took it back and brought us a fresh batch. Other than that we will be coming back, they just need more staff.

I really don’t know why we came here. Not my favorite. We were invisible. The service was awful. The server was some young kid that looked like I bothered cause I was ready to order. He didn’t roll his eyes but I was waiting. Never again. Soooooooo disappointed. Beer was cold. I guess that’s the two stars. Flip this joint.

I mostly stop in for the late happy hour but I have dined here on occasion. My favorite appetizer is the avocado egg rolls, they are crunchy and salty with that creamy avocado flavor. As far as the entrees they are well portioned. Not the most flavorful, but they do fill you up. Service is okay.

I’ve been going here for a few years now since it first opened. this place always has good food and good service. Typical BJ’s food and menu. I like the pizzas and appetizers. Some of my favorites are the santa fe rolls and stuffed mushrooms. This location has large TV walls and regular and late night happy hour. They also have a good selection of beers on tap along with a full bar. Good place to watch a game and have pizza and beers!

The food and service at this location is absolutely underwhelming. As much as BJ’s try to to be diverse with their menu, if you order anything other than pizza and beer, you’ll be disappointed. Their salad selection isn’t too bad either. Basically stay away from anything that requires some culinary skills. Its safe to stay with the fresher menu items such as their salads as they’re required to keep things fresh. Their pizza selection is basically the only sure thing on their menu.

We love Bjs and are members. Staffs are always great every where. Food is fantastic and beer is cold. The tavern cut pizza, itialian market good with a house blonde. Gladys gets the ahi tuna salad every time. Distinctively good wings. Get the sauces on the side, and a side of pot stickers.

This is my first time at this BJ’s. The service is HORRIBLE!!! I couldn’t keep track of how many servers helped us. One girl sat us down, another came to our table, who claimed to be our waitress. A few minutes later another waitress came and said she was taking over for our first waitress. We ordered our drinks, which took about 20 minutes to get. Some guy brought out our drinks, another guy brought out my soup, then ANOTHER guy brought out our entrees. My deep dish ziti was not so «deep.» It was basically a few noodles with a gob of cheese with a cup full of grease on the bottom. The«waitress» never came to refill our drinks or ask if we needed anything else. The tables are ridiculously close together. It can’t possibly be safe in there if an emergency happened!!! I WILLNOT be returning to this BJ’s!!!

Came here for a work holiday lunch. Service was soso. Food definitely takes forever though. It was decent to the taste. Id come back to drink here. They have a huge selection and its nice their drinks menu has a break down of beer pairings. This review is more of a 3.5. Id give it another chance. For food, I got the salmon quinoa bowl, cherry chipotle sauce instead of the miso glaze. Surprisingly filling! It was on the sweet end, but went really well with red pepper flakes.

Sundays, Fathers day, was a wonderful experience. Not crowded, we were seated fast. Came back on Tuesday night, 3 of us, the experience was horrible, the waitress had attitude, we ordered drinks, my drink was not my drink, i returned it. then we ordered a small dish(see picture) burnt, they burnt it!!!

BJ’s has some pretty good brews! Blonde — $ 5.25 HopStorm IPA — $ 5.75 Chicken Ranch Mini Deep Dish Pizza — $ 6 — Awesome happy hour item. You get a 6 inch pizza of your choice. Chicken ranch was a nice twist on the normal ddp. Crust is good and the cheese that crisps up on the edges was delicious. The ranch drizzle on top added a nice creamy flavor.

This BJ’s Restaurant is located at The Shops at Montebello(formally the Montebello Mall), specifically located right next to JcPenny. (Review is for To Go Order only) Decided to make a to go order for lunch for both my husband and myself this early afternoon. I called to make a to go order before leaving work(I work pretty close by this place) and was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. This is what we had: Mahi Mahi Tacos–($ 9.50 prior to tax) I had the option of having my mahi mahi tacos grilled or fried and decided to opt for grilled(healthier option). This entrée comes with 2 tacos and chips(with avocado cream sauce and fire roasted tomato salsa packed in a separate container). I really liked my mahi mahi taco. The chipotle mayo added a little spice to it(which was plenty spicy for this non spicy eating person) but my husband added a bit of sriracha to it. I thought the fish was nice and tender. The shredded Napa cabbage and carrots added a nice crunch to it. The chips were just«eh». I have had better chips from the market. Kale and Roasted Brussels Sprouts Salad–($ 9.75 prior to tax) This salad is pretty good with the different flavors and textures. Not only is there kale and roasted Brussels sprouts but also blueberries, sliced red grapes, dried cranberries, candied pecans, chopped cucumbers and toasted pepitas. This salad also comes with goat cheese and red onions but I requested to omit this. I love the sweetness and flavor from the fruit and the strawberry vinaigrette enhances that light sweetness throughout each bite. My dressing automatically came on the side since this was a to go order, but if I dined in, I would normally ask for salad dressing on the side(don’t like my salad swimming in dressing… kind of defeats the whole purpose of eating healthy). When I arrived exactly 15 minutes later(told you I work close to this BJ’s location) after I placed my to go order, it took another 10 minutes to pick up my order since there was a person ahead of me making an order and the computer system was moving slow(according to the employee who was helping me with my transaction). Making my order to go over the phone was easy, along with pick up. I like that you can also have the option of making a to go order online as well, but I didn’t want to use my cell phone data to do that for this visit.(They have free, fast WiFi here by the way). Overall, had a fantastic lunch with my husband at a price that was reasonable. Will have to come back for a dine in experience some time.
