HQ Army-Navy Store

I never could figure on how an army jacket has a bright orange inside. If it were a real army jacket, you don’t have bright orange, or else they’d spot you a mile away. Hey, but they are great and they are made in China jackets. Cool spot to get all kinds of military gear. Hats, uniforms, patches, dog tags some outdoor gear and many other accessories. Don’t expect any smiles or friendliness. Just business as usual. They are a bit on the pricy side.

The best Supply store ever! I have never seen so many millions of patches, medals, emblems, clothing, etc. The guys there are super helpful, patient and kind. If they dont ave it there they will order it for you. Hardly anyone goes out of their way to do that anymore. Good olé fashioned excellent customer service.
Park on the back side of the mall right in the center and they are upstairs right across from the doors next to Verizon.

Great place for everything thing that deals with military friendly and helpful staff I had a problem with a tank that I stripped by accident and they directed me in the direction to someone who could fix it

Great customer service. They had everything The Prince needed for leadership camp. David and Sergio were a big help. So was they day crew on my first visit.

Best Place to get those last minute items.

Been here a couple of times in the past and never really though to give the place a review. Just because when I come here, its not for me. Guys love this place though.
They have all kinds of «toys» for the men. Or boys. Of course, since these are made of the same stuff that the Army — Navy actually use, then the prices are on the steep side.
The store used to be on the first floor by the elevator (west side of the mall) but now they moved to the 2^nd floor next to Verizon. Had to call them on the phone to see where their new location is since the last time I visited was about a year or so ago.
Staff was nice even though I felt so foolish going in there looking for a Tomb Raider leg holster. Guy didn’t even laugh or bat an eyelash. Just guided me to the area where they had the stuff I needed.
Cool, cool place.

HQ almost has everything, they can order it or be able to send you in the right direction.
Staff is Very friendly and helpful (knowledgable). They will work with you. On return purchases with out receipt, can still give you store credit in a timely matter.
I would recommend this store and I will return back to this friendly and knowledge

My review is solely on the Security section of the store. The Security clothing is cheap and overpriced and the same for the duty gear. You might want to buy something from here as a convenience if you live nearby but there are other stores or websites that carry better quality equipment for either the same price or a bit more. I don’t want to get into it but I’ll just say that their OC sprays are very outdated and expensive. My choice for OC spray is the Sabre Crossfire because it can be deployed at any angle and most stores sell it for $ 13.00.

Update: I’ll be here tomorrow forking over my hard earned cash. I plan to purchase a new paintball marker, and a tac vest just for kicks.
I keep coming back because this place is just plain fun to shop at.

As stores in the Montebello Mall come and go, HQ stands strong. They have a decent collection of military gear (camo pants, hats, shirts, boots, belts, backpacks etc), Military Style Screen T-​shirts, Military Patches, Posters, Paintball supplies, knifes, flashlights and even security guard equipment. This is not a vintage military store to find hard to get items. But more of a store to get simple military themed things for the military buff.

God, I love this place. It’s old school Montebello Mall, HQ’s been here fooooooorever, and I’m so glad. Army-​Navy stores are hard to come by these days, it seems. But I’m glad they are still here and fill the gap quite nicely for whatever thing I’m into at the moment. Just call me Vince Noir. The guys are helpful and also nice, which is a big plus in this day and age of nonexistent good customer service.

Whenever I walk into The HQ I’m taken back to high school when everyone wore Docs and bomber jackets and listened to cool ass music. I remember my initiial visit because I wanted a cool army bag. That was back in 1993. I still have that bag, and it still looks good.
Anyhow, our recent trip to The HQ was because hubby wanted to be Ghost from Modern Warfare and he needed to pick up a few things. We walked in, looked around, found what we needed and were out. The guys were extremely helpful. He was looking for a tactical vest in khaki and they only seemed to have it in black. When asked, the guy busted out the catalog to see if it was available in khaki and even told him that they could special order it for him. In this conversation we found out that the distributor is in New York and that The HQ places their orders on Mondays. Good to know if you want to order something from them.
They have so much to offer that I always find I want to buy something even though I don’t need it because it looks cool.

This store saved my @ss before so I am a fan of this store.
Where do you go when you have no costume for Halloween’s day? I went here to get my GI-​Jane costume. Got the pants, hat and dog tag. ready to go. They also sell other military accessories like belts and knives.

For a «kinda» military store in a mall, this place is A-​Ok! When i used to paintball, this would be the place to come and resupply. Now I go just to fix up my zippo.
You can people you like dog tags or army camo outfits. Fun stuff.
