Very disappointed when sign says they closed at 7:00PM and open sign is light up and doors are locked at 6:30PM. Therefore causing extremely long line at drive thru that takes forever. Food wasn’t that great chicken extra fatty.

Spicy pork teriyaki wasnt that good. There were too much grease in the meal. The meat is like 40%fat and 59% meat. 2 stars for the clean place to eat.

This place was… Strange. Food was bland. No ambiance at all and not as cheap as advertised. Be ready to hear the staffs conversation in the kitchen. Portion was large. Not the worst ever but… Probably a good place to use the drive thru.

Been going here forever, all of a sudden no drink refills. No good. Probably won’t be coming back. The other locations have no problems with refills. What if I got something spicy!

WOW… Why do good places go bad. There are several locations in this franchise. I have gone to this restaurant many times in the last 15 years and the food was simple and good. Having not been in a couple years I thought I would try it again. I went to the Prescott location several times this month via the drive through. This first time the food was OK but I only had there signature dish, The Chicken Bowl. Second time I arrived just before noon and ordered the spicy chicken and a chicken n steak bowl. Again, it was OK but all the meat seems to have been reheated making the meats dry and tough. Finally I went again today at 1:30pm thinking surly they are cooking fresh product. I ordered the chicken n beef platter and a spicy chicken. Again, the meats were dry, especially the spicy chicken. Let this be a warning to all food service businesses. Do not let your business serve dry crappy product or you will loose customers for life. One more tip, clean your nasty building up inside and out and MAINTAIN cleanliness. The more I think about it the more I am surprised I gave them a third chance.

Used to frequent but the food is blah, sauce is cold and lumpy, service is rude and grumpy. Décor is severely outdated and run down and I doubt they clean the place. I’ve taking my Teriyaki business to Teriyaki Grill @ 2704 Coffee Rd in Modesto!

I have had better teriyaki chicken, but it is descent enough to go if you dont wanna go to a sushi bar or farther away from your neighborhood. The prices vary. Some seem over priced, so I just stick to the $ 5.99 special consisting of teriyaki chicken bowl w veggies, egg roll and soda. They have a drive thru so thats a huge plus. Service is ok and there is ample parking. It deserves 3.5 stars!

My coworkers and I used to go here often for lunch and almost all of us have gotten food poisoning from it. The have a problem with cooking the chicken thoroughly. I would suggest no longer coming here but if you must just be aware of the color of your chicken!

man i went to this spot called«teriyaki king» in modesto right off briggsmore & prescott by crocodiles & winco… the place is an old run down taco bell serving delicious asian food… 1 plate will feed a family of four(unless y’all some greedy gut mother fuckers)… we had the chicken teriyaki and beef over fried rice… with an order of cream cheese wontons… this place is and«i’ll be back!!!» like the terminator… now run tell dat!!!

Delicious! I got the chicken chow mein bowl(came with egg roll & soda) and the cream cheese wontons all for around $ 10. It is like 2 meal portions, so you could easily share or save the rest for later. You could taste the fire-grilled taste on the chicken. And it was obvious that it wasn’t frozen, pre-cooked stuff. The lady that helped me was very nice & smiley. Will definitely be coming back here.

I do not recommend any of the Teriyaki King locations in Modesto, especially the one on Coffee Rd. and Prescott/Briggsmore. I’ve been to all of them, they all serve gristly chicken with cartilage. The McHenry location is the only one that appears semi-clean, the other two look dirty. I recently purchased from the Prescott location since I’ve only been there a few times and wanted to see if it was better… while the heavy set Asian girl was going to the back I observed her, with unclean bare hands put some vegetables in my wok while the chef cooked and later found THREE black hairs on my chicken!!! I couldn’t believe it… did they drag this meat across the floor? Disgusting! NEVEREVER will eat at any of the Teriyaki Kings in Modesto again! They do not even deserve 1 star! AVOID!

Great teriyaki chicken. Fresh veggies. Healthier than Greasy burgers. Smart choice for lunch!

You have to put a place like this in perspective. For the quality and taste of the food you get(really good) measured against the price(really cheap!!), it’s a five-star place. So why did it only get four stars. No water dispenser/soda dispenser so you have to go up and ask them to refill water over and over again which is terrible if eating a bunch of hot sauce on yummy chicken. Hope you like Teriyaki! Another weird thing is how good their customer service is for a junky little teriyaki bowl place. They are really friendly and courteous.

I love this place. It’s my favorite lunch. You can get tasty grilled chicken and a huge amount of crisp vegetables with a soda for $ 6.50. Wonderful teriyaki sauce and this location has chili peppers too. I would eat here every day if I lived in Modesto!

This used to be a nice simple go-to for our family. Something quick, fairly inexpensive and tasty. Also, pretty healthy too if your sticking to the steamed and grilled meats/veggies. However, we stopped in Sunday night to grab dinner to-go. There was a sign posted saying that due to energy and food increases, prices had to go up. Man they were NOT Kidding! Prior to the increase our family of 5 would eat for just under $ 20. Now with the increase, dinner set us back a Little over $ 30. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t warrant the cost increase. It’s nothing super spectacular. In fact if I wasn’t so damn lazy I could grill my own chicken and steam my own rice. Bummer Teriyaki King, your price increase has just DECREASED my stars. Final Verdict 2.5 stars. Suckish.

Super yummi Teriaki! I’ve been to King’s on numerous occasions(drive thru) and have ordered the chicken and pork plate, eggrolls, and potstickers. It seems like it always takes forever in the drive thru line. but for good reason. They are back there ACTUALLY cooking your food! Sliced teriaki chicken and pork on a bed for short grain sticky rice, topped with fresh steamed carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. They always hook up the teriaki sauce without asking and always call me «M’aam»(I’m only 25 lady. but I appreciate it) Prices are decent and the food is piping hot and delicious :)
