Food was fantastic! Very authentic. The service was polite and very quick. Amazed by the amount of meat and vegetables in every dish. Will definitely be adding this place to my list of regular favorite visits!

Great food and service! Lunch was extremely quick and delicious with more than we could finish. Our new go to Chinese restaurant. Clean and comfortable.

The service is great, food here is amazing, the décor is nice, it’s clean, they have very comfortable & private seating. I am so picky when it come to Chinese food because other places I’ve been to in Modesto are so greasy and the sauces taste so fake. This place is the only Chinese restaurant I will go to because they’re food always tatstes so authentic & homemade.

We LOVE Imperial Garden. The food is delicious. Some 1 stars on here say it’s bland… likely because you’re used to Chinese food cooked with tons of salt for flavor. Imperial actually relies on the foods flavor… which is amazing. The honey walnut prawns are so ridiculous. We order them everytime. The service is fast and friendly. They always pay special attention to my son and are very patient when he insists on ordering for himself. The sizzling rice soup has a fun presentation and is the only soup my son has ever touched. I do recommend eating in at the restaurant instead of delivery if you can. The food is never as good delivered as it is fresh and hot. Guessing that’s where some of these bad reviews might be coming from as well. Ample parking. Rarely have to wait longer than 10 minutes on busy nights. Highly recommend!!!

Literally the worst service ever. We were put at the round table. And the server never respond to our needs. When we politely ask if we can get our food sooner in Mandarin and English. They forced us to cancel the order and tell us that there is no way that they can rush the food. Then they murmured something in Cantonese and sound like cursing (mandarin speaker here, can partly understand Cantonese) Worst service ever!!!

First time there last weekend. It’s officially my new favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Will never again go anywhere else but here. Reasonably priced, food is AMAZING and great service. I heard they also deliver which is so convenient. I’ll have to try delivery and report back on that service.

We’re moving out of state. Our last meal is here. We chose this place because the food is the best chinese in town. The service is so perfect. The wait staff is always friendly and on top of every need. This is one of our favorites by far.

shrimp, mushrooms, bamboo were all very fresh. breading was light and crisp. not greasy. this place would easily be 5 stars if the food had more flavor. even still, 4.5 stars.

The food is good, I love that they deliver. Also we ordered some combo plates and when they got here each plate came with some soup witch was a big plus

This was garbage! Overpriced and everything was bland. Also the lady who took my order forgot to add something to my order. I had to call like five times just to get ahold of anyone and she told me I said I didn’t want it. Not impressed and surprised by the four stars! Huge waste of money. I would rather eat Panda Express than this.

Wow… let me start by saying, Imperial Garden has always been good on the past…
This evening’s meal was completely awful… like different cook or ingredients. The roast pork was more fat than meat, and tasted old. The broccoli beef was slimy, and the sweet and sour was a tiny piece of old meat in a gob of mushy breeding.
I don’t know what happened… ill try it one more time in case it was a one off, but if I get another meal like this one, they will permanently lose a good customer.

Imperial garden might be one of the last great high end Chinese food places left in Modesto. Huge delicious portions not to mention the restaurant looks amazing & very clean, perfect for family dinners or date night

Excellent choice for Hong Kong style Chinese. Very friendly and fast service. Ordered Mongolian Lamb and Walnut Prawns ! Yum.

If you can get me to eat green beans at all, it’s an accomplishment.
If you can get me to eat green beans & actually like them, you’re way ahead of the game.
If you can get me to eat green beans & actually love them, then I need to shake your hand.
Spicy Green Beans. This version was so good, I was eating them right out of the box, before I even made myself a plate. Ok… I always do that w Chinese food. But, if I’d had green beans this good a long time ago, then I wouldn’t have hated them all these years. Sigh.
And I know all about that famous green bean casserole that everyone makes for thanksgiving. I never understood what the big deal was.
The Honey Walnut Prawns. Holy cow good. The best I’ve ever had. The prawns were clean, fresh, & tender. Sauce was on point, a bit decadent, & fabulous. And the walnuts… omg. Fantastic. I don’t even care that there were a couple of burnt ones. 2 slightly burnt walnuts out of 25 or so is totally forgivable. An outstanding dish.
The egg fried rice. I didn’t partake, since I was avoiding carbs. But my mom loved it. She’s a fried rice aficionado, & pretty picky, so that says a lot.
They quoted 20 minutes for pick up on the phone, & it was ready in 20 minutes.
5 stars.

Best chow mein I’ve ever had! But my most favorite is the Steamed Garlic Shrimp! A must get for the shrimp n garlic lovers. I came on a Sunday it was very busy it took an hour to get my shrimp, but definitely worth the wait!!!

Go hungry, you get a lot for the price

Nice quite atmosphere

All the food was aweful and the service was just the same. They forgot to bring out parts if our order, our family was cramped in a back corner where we couldn’t even get all the chairs around. The sweet and sour pork was all bread and flavorless. If there was meat in there I didn’t taste it. I was given a soda in a can that was going to expire in a month, it was flat. Sticky table. Just a super bad night and it was for my father in laws birthday dinner. Such a dissapointment. I’d rather go to Golden Bowl in Salida, their food is always perfect and they are on top of filling drinks, clean tables and excellent food.
