Good food and reasonably priced. Very clean inside and employees are friendly. Only downside is that they aren’t always open.

This place is pretty good. We go there about once a month for a nice change of food. They have a different style of food there that you wont find at most places. I get the chicken katsu. It comes with Chicken Katsu (Chicken with panko breading and then fried in peanut oil) Steamed Rice and Veg, with a choice of side, pot stickers or a few others.
The family that runs it is nice, and their son (I would guess is 12 years old) is more mature than most 20 year old’s, he can handle the entire checkout while keeping a conversation.

Came here last night for dinner because I’ve been wanting to try it out. I had the chicken Udon and my daughter had the chicken potstickers and on special they had a CA roll. Our friends had the Salmon and the other one had the salmon katsu. I got to try the salmon katsu and it was really yummy like a salmon fishstick. My Udon was really good with yummy chicken, carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. My daughter gobbled almost all of her potstickers, she really enjoyed them. The CA Roll was sad. Not sure what it lacked but I’ve had better at Savemart. My daughter was the only one that received miso soup, and she really enjoyed it. She ate all the seaweed out of it. Pretty good for a 3 year old.
Prices are great and there were always people coming in to get togo orders and to eat in. I will definitely be back. I want to try the different Udon’s, Soba, and the Ramen.

Food is always great. Can get brown rice as an alternative. Teriyaki bowls come with a delicious side. I love the Tempura Shrimp side. Prices are very reasonable for what they serve. Bento Boxes are also on the Menu as well as Ramen Soup like you’ve never had around here.
You won’t return to the other Teriyaki Places after eating here.
The place is always kept very clean and you get your food on real plates with Silverware. Did I tell you the food also was delicious…
As of June 20, 2015 this location is now called Oishi Teri Sushi. New owners and management. Whole new menu too.

All I have to say is that I love this place! The food is to die for and it’s also healthy. I’m so glad I found this place since I get tired of subway sometimes. The employees are so nice. This is definitely the place to go eat.

This place is a hidden gem! The food is great. The prices are excellent. The servers are always pleasant and professional. It is always nice to go to a clean, well managed restaurant with friends after work without having to go broke.

Very clean and food nicely portioned! Very friendly and professional service. They have good healthy options to choose I liked that you can choose brown rice and noodles. Found my place for healthy Asian food! Just wish the place was a little bigger and played more music :)

Great service with smiles… and an affordable menu. It’s hidden behind a wall of fast food restaurants, but drive behind Jack in the box on Coffee Road and you will see it.
I always come here for lunches because they have great salads… but today I had the Salmon and it too was a great lunch.

Great place to dine. Prices are very reasonable and their portions are just right. I always order their Teriyaki Beef Bowl which is very tasty. Most important they offer brown rice! Very affordable quality meals. Highly recommended.

Some of the best salmon katsu I’ve had outside of the Bay Area, and an excellent price point. It’s very no frills, it’s just a counter service restaurant. I recommend the spicy crab puffs, they were delicious.

Had a really good dining experience here with the family. $ 6.50 for a meal with rice, veggies, and a small side. Inside of the restaurant it was a nice and quiet atmosphere. We got an appetizer and it was out within minutes, piping hot! Had to wait for it to cool down a bit first. Our food came out shortly after and was just as great! Really have nothing but great stuff to say about this place.

We’ve been coming here since they opened. Great food that is really fresh! Like some said their sauces are delicious! Personal favorite are their potstickers! Staff is very friendly and has gotten to know my family well. We’re here at least 3 times a month! Best teriyaki ever!

I don’t get the reviews for this place. I’m not saying it’s bad, because it’s not. But 5 stars? No way.
I thought the food was good and prices were reason. Service was fine bear in mind it’s order at the counter and then sit. It was pretty much your average teriyaki bowl place. I’ll eat there again but manage those expectations after looking at most of these reviews.

Don’t go anywhere else in Modesto to get a Teriyaki bowl but this place! Awesome food, great service, low prices. The biggest difference is the sauce, tastes great, chicken is fresh, and customer service was a 10! Great casual place for a lunch or dinner with family or friends. Caters to kids too! $ 5 for a chicken bowl, 6.50 for a plate. Get the Green beans! Only complaint is the portions were decent, not large.
Owned by Osaka Sushi, which is a great Sushi place as well!

Amazing deal with delicious food!
The restaurant is super clean and sophisticated in décor. We are always greeted with kindness and a delicious meal. The teriyaki is very, very good and never makes you feel bogged down after eating. I always spring for the salmon dishes… and at just $ 6.50 with veggies, rice, and a side, you can’t go wrong!
I would (and always do) recommend this place to anyone for delicious, light Asian food at an amazing price!

I went here based upon the Unilocal reviews and was seriously let down. How anyone can rate this place 5 stars is beyond me. First things first, this is your typical teriyaki bowl, not a true restaurant. Don’t come here thinking this is a nice sit down restaurant, you place your order at the counter from the menu board then they deliver your food to you. It’s very clean inside which was a plus. Pricing is reasonable with plates averaging around $ 6.50.
My friend and I had the teriyaki chicken plate with miso soup and tempura. Portions were decent, not large. My vegetables were cold as was my friends chicken. We also tried the chicken pot stickers which were just ok. The teriyaki chicken had really good flavor but serving it cold ruined any chance of enjoying it. Miso soup was very good. The flavor of the vegetables was good and probably could have been great, but being cold ruined it. My tempura was served hot but the tempura batter had no real flavor. Their brewed iced tea isn’t good. If you’re a tea lover like I am, skip the tea and get a fountain drink or water instead.
The service was very good. The gentleman who I presume was the owner and the lady at the counter were both very friendly. When each of them asked how our food was after we finished, I was completely honest. The gentleman seemed taken back by my candor. Neither offered to do anything to rectify it.
The interior of this place is very clean and unlike the teriyaki bowl on McHenry which is a total dump, I’d actually want to come here. The problem is what business serves food at the improper temperature and expects repeat business? As a new business this is unacceptable.
There were a total of four patrons in the restsurant when we dined here at the peak of lunch hour. Maybe I came on an off day, maybe I was just unlucky, but one fact remains, this dining experience wasn’t great. Unlike most businesses whose service is atrocious, it was the food that was the issue here. Had the owner attempted to rectify this I’d give the place another try and maybe they’d get high marks. Now I’ll never know.

People Of Modesto This Is A Must Eat Place! The Food Is Awesome And The Prices Are Great. The Owner Kenny Sure Does Know HIs Customers. He Is Great And Very Friendly! He Even Hooked Me Up With A Free Ramune Drink. It’s A Japanese Flavored Drink I Was Tempted To Try. The Inside Is Very Well Décor And Inviting As Well. I Just Feel Bad Because Every time I Go In There Not Much Diners! The Word Needs To Get Out There Because This Place Is Bomb! And I Can’t Wait To Go Back For More Teriyaki!

Amazing Quality and at an Amazing Price.
The owner does not skimp out on quality fish or chicken at all. And not only that, every plate is no more than $ 9. I tried the Salmon Dinner plate for… $ 6.50? AMAZING.
The presentation on the plate is superb. You really do get a whole bunch of value!
Meats are grilled to perfection. Plates are generously served.
I really do love this place, and I’m so glad that we now have an awesome Teriyaki restaurant to go to in Modesto, CA.
I see myself coming here 3 times a week for sure.
