Sooooo disappointed! We normally by our freshly ground sausages from Sprouts but my husband decided to try this place for my Valentine breakfast he was making me. He purchased the siracha sasuage, the pineapple sausage, and chopping block special sausage. All of them were lacking flavor especially the siracha one. I will NEVER return for their sausage. My husband said the lady that helped him was real nice. I may return if I remember to check out their spices and bakery items.

Been here a couple of times to get sandwiches and meat to take home and haven’t been disappointed yet. Sandwiches are way better than a Subway and the steak, when cooked just right… heaven. People are very friendly and helpful. Pricey but worth what you get.

wow! obviously there ALWAYS room for some type of improvement… BUT this business is hard pressed for places to improve. I have been here a handful of times now and EVERYTIME I have been greeted by friendly employees and ALWAYS acknowledged by at least two employees. In addition, the ‘butcher’ or employee standing behind the meat counter always seems to keep a close eye on customers that seem to be looking for something but cant quite find it — he has helped/​assisted me at least twice. I also super appreciated their show of American patriotism for American Service Members and pride in country.

This place has got it all! Home made soups; their specialty sandwiches include the San Francisco which was wonderful, and their Chicago, which is roast beef and plenty of it. They have a wide variety of fresh breads to choose from and that’s only starting in the deli portion of the restaurant. We cannot wait to come back and try all of their sandwiches and the prices are very good.

Went to the Butcher Shop to give Chopping Block a try and I was VERY Impressed. I wanted Bone In Lamb Chops and They were Fabulous ! The Butcher gave me a tour and discussed what he sells. He really took time with me and I felt Very Welcomed. The List of House Made Sausages is Amazing ! Next, I’m going in for Sandwiches and Deli Food, if it’s half as good as the Lamb, I’m in for a treat. Good to see a Small, New, Quality Business in town !

The only reason they did not get 5 stars is because they don’t have iced tea. The sandwich was great, they had an option to make it a wrap and I took advantage. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. For $ 7.99 it was a good size and was plenty filling. They offer other baked goods and a full deli in case you wanted to pick up something for the grill.

Really great little place! Had the Italian salami sandwich, very good! Bought some sausage and a few steaks, they have very good beef! Tender and delicious. My daughter had a chicken sandwich and said it was thee best she has ever eaten.

old school grocer butcher shop. service was not particularly friendly. got a honey turkey sandwich on sweet french. roll was great — soft, chewy, fresh. turkey was a little dry. could have used some kind of spread to bring it together. overall, not a bad sandwich.

This is one of my favorite delis. The last two times I had the Get Fit Protein sandwich as a wrap. It’s a great sandwich & I’ve had several of the others, which are also very good. I usually get the broccoli crunch salad. This time I tried the quinoa edamame salad for the first time & it was delicious! I will be back again!

Very good stakes and good selection we bought 3 New York stakes for 28 dollars they were about 3 inches thick they were the most tender and juicy steaks I have had in a long time they taste like stakes use to about ten years ago better than any steak you can buy in any store

Love this place! They have such friendly staff and great food! You can’t find fresh sausages like theirs anywhere else in town. (and they always have a great selection), they have awesome arams and great fresh deli selections (I love the kale salad. My hubby is a fan of the orzo salad) I hear they are great at catering too! I can’t wait to try one of their «concert in the park» snack boxes this summer!!!

The place was adorable, had excellent service but after I called to mention there was a cockroach in one of my sandwiches they were unapologetic. This was a $ 93 dollar lunch order and I should have been given better service to rectify the situation.

Our first visit, and have to say we are impressed. Sandwiches were tasty and reasonably priced, and fresh ingredients trump Subway or Togo’s any day. While waiting for our sandwiches, we looked at the butcher selection and found the prices to be quite fair considering the quality. We will be back!

Got a GC for Christmas and I heard so much about their sandwiches, so I decided to try them out. Both sandwiches were okay. The tri-​tip on the Modesto was tasty. No real pizazz. Maybe my expectations were too high. I like my sammies packed with delightful goodness. Picked up a few other things there, including their snickerdoodles (yum!) and an assortment of salads. The pasta and broccoli salads were good. Next time we’ll try the meats and cheeses. Maybe their quiches. I’ll definitely give it another shot.

Just decided to stop in and get lunch. Entered the shop to find an immaculate deli/​butcher/​market. The Modesto sandwich was EXCELLENT. The market had all the touches of Little Italy. So much variety and specialties. Did I mention the place is immaculate?

We are visiting my parents for a few days and they picked up dinner from here tonight. Man, it was so tasty! This was our first time but my parents pick up food from them all the time. Tonight we had tri-​tip, twice baked potatoes, orzo feta pasta salad, and broccoli salad. To feed 5 people with leftovers was less than $ 50. Dinner was so good tonight, we are going to go by the shop tomorrow before we head home!

For $ 7.99 I get a nice sandwich.
The salads are huge, and the baked goods are yummy.
The staff is friendly, fast and helpful.
Customer service alone is worth the 5 stars.
The butcher section can be a bit pricey but its worth the higher quality of meat.

Nothing but good things to say…
First off the Customer service, from start to finish, was incredible. The staff was not only funny but incredible knowledgable. It is rare to find a place that will cater to your needs any more, and they definitely go above and beyond what I had expected. The choice of quality meats, game and other wildlife, is perfect for the size of the shop.
The Deli… I picked up a «Chicago» yesterday while my best friend picked up the «Modesto». Both sandwiches were well made, fresh ingredients, incredibly soft (Bakery Quality White and Sourdough Rolls) and the meat was top quality. This place is NOT pricey, and well worth the money spent. I can’t wait to return to pick up Homemade Sausages and of course Ribeye.
