Not sure if they were supposed to or what, but I made reservations for Saturday night and when I arrived with my wife for our date night, the place was closed… Did this place actually closed down or it was just a night that they were closed(which I doubt)

Hidden gem. Brought me back to my roots being a true Brazilian. The only thing to add to the menu is Kibe — that’s it! Stopped by with my husband after a nice run in Sobe.

I found this place while visiting Miami. The bartender was super chill. It’s a very chill vibe. Walked in from the street and ended up sitting outside. I like that I was mostly left alone and checked on only occasionally. Delicious mojitos and coffee.

Cool vibe and atmosphere. Prices a little steep to go crazy and try everything but it’s in south pointe so in comparison a bargain. Happy hour is def when to go. Draft selection is modest but good. Mixed drinks strong. Of the big croquettas and beef pinchos, I’ve gone back for the big croquettas. Worth a try.

Decided to stop by and get some appetizers before we had dinner reservations at Cibo Wine Bar next door. I saw 4 stars on Unilocal so had hope for a good experience. We ordered: A Beef Baked Empanada, Coxinha, Yuca Fries, Frango a Passarinho, Chips with guacamole and salsa, and a chicken quesadilla. The place is tapas style so not really«entrees» so to speak, somewhere you would go for a good quick bite and drinks. Out of all the food, I would recommend the chicken quesadilla and yuca fries. Both were quite delicious although not exactly cheap(relative to the area, and it is South Beach so I wouldn’t expect a cheap meal anywhere). I also enjoyed the guacamole and my entire group thought it was prepared well. As far as the other 4 items or so, I would say mediocre at best. As far as service goes, all 6 guests in my party are in the service industry and it was pretty bad. Kiki was our server(blonde woman) and she didn’t say thank you once until she dropped off the check. We had to go find her to even get our check, it was pretty evident she has no interest in serving on our table at all even though the place was empty. There are plenty of better options in South Beach for the price, service, and food variety.

I was back in Miami Beach for a few days and discovered this chill locals’ bar by accident… and luckily it was still happy hour…$ 6 caipirinhas and $ 3 tacos til 8 pm… it’s a casual, friendly spot with sidewalk sofa seating… perfect for a drink and a snack after a day at the beach

New favorite hangout alert. Came here for the monthly Surfrider Miami meeting and I wish I could stay forever. Luke at the bar is awesome, the margaritas and tacos and chicken croquettas can’t be beat. Happy hour specials are generous and fun. Just decided to have my birthday gathering here, surf videos playing in the background add a special touch and the wooden Toucan over the bar makes me smile. Love, love, love everything about this beach bar.

Loved this place! We visit SoBe every year, and this is a great new spot. The bartender was friendly and spent a ton of time talking to us about drink ideas, explaining how they make things, and generally sharing his craft with us. The drinks he made(we invited him to try out some new ideas) were inventive and fun. I especially loved his watermelon-strawberry-basil concoction… it was delightful. Décor is adorable, the place is chill with nice outdoor seating, great music selection, just a fun good place to hang out. Definitely would recommend!

Was there for my second time today, unfortunately it wasn’t as satisfying as the first visit. My first time at Cantinho was during happy hour on a Saturday about a month ago, my caipirinhas were on point, made with Brazilian cachaça and mixed perfectly. We also ordered Pão de Queijo, Coxinhas, etc. everything was great. I left there very excited to have found this place. Today I went back, I told my mother about how this place offered legit Brazilian Coxinhas and delicious Caipirinhas for really good prices during happy hour(5−8pm, $ 6 caipirinhas are hard to beat). Well for starters they didn’t have Pão de Queijo, and apparently they won’t serve it anymore — this is a Brazilian favorite and it’s one of the most popular appetizers in any Brazilian restaurant. That was a big disappointment. And then the Caipirinhas arrived, or whatever that was, I’ve only had one other«Caipirinha» as bad or as far from a real caipirinha as the one I had today. It was vodka(?) with slices of lime, lots of ice cubes, and a half inch thick layer of brown sugar granules sitting at the bottom. It was like a sort of Vodka lime Sangria accident, so bad I had to ask for a beer instead because I lost any and all faith on whoever was bar tending. The good thing is they had $ 4 Big Rod Coconut ale and it is now my favorite beer, it is so good I am actually leaving here and heading over to their brewery tonight in homestead. Back to Cantinho, service was ok, no complaints there. We sat outside at the last table from the door so I was worried they’d lose us but had no problems there. Coxinhas were good but not as good as the ones served at Boteco on 79th, and the empanadas were more Mexican than Brazilian, I loved the empanadas(the spicy sauce on the side was really good) but for my poor Brazilian mother they were also disappointing. All in all they got 3 stars because I would’ve given 5 my first time around and 1 this time. I’m not excited to go back now, worried if I’ll be served real caipirinhas and if they’ll have Pão de Queijo.

If you want quick tapas this is not the place however, it has a great atsmosphere and good drinks. It would have been a 4 star if it had not taken over 30mins for 2 empanadas, a grilled cheese sandwich and a cheese quesadilla. especially not when there were just 2 other customers at the bar. I will however attempt this place again when I’m not as hungry.

Super cute. Greenery and plants, Edison light bulbs, Spanish tile, wooden cabinets– like a cute pirate bar. Great music– classic rock or reggae. Food is awesome. Simple and tasty. Fresh Acai made every day. Delicious bites. Perfect place for a snack and a drink after the beach. But it’s going to be my stop on the way home from work. New neighborhood hangout for sure. Much needed.

What a great little local beach bar setup! Great addition to the 1st street local surf vibe. Just stopped for a snack and a cocktail. As a southern transplant in Miami, loved their old fashioned! Great service, always a plus in Miami! Great happy hour specials! And Paulo is a great host! Stop by and enjoy outdoor seating or their adorable indoor décor. Love!

Wandered in here looking for Bar Crudo. Cantinho now occupies that space. Cantinho means little corner in Portugese. Friendly staff; comfortable, casual atmosphere with a Brazilian flare. Indoor and out door seating. Nice music.

I thought this little place was charming. We spent the day at south pointe park and were desperately in search of a good beach bar. I would’ve been happy with some crusty chairs and a cold beer but this being south point I was treated to a dark little surf bar, nice and cool inside with tile Floors and couches and Brazilian music and some cute patio tables should you chose that option. The drink offerings are perfect for the locale specializing in mojitos, margaritas, and caipirinhas with your choice of high or low end liquor. Beers and full bar as well as a small limited but tasty bat menu are all a perfect compliment. Service was welcome and friendly. I could sit for hours with a book. In fact I did. The Brazilian beef skewers and shrimp cocktail were both tasty. Happy hour drink specials make this place well worth the visit. If you are a tequila connoisseur(I am) it’s nice to get something other than rail tequila during happy hour so i much appreciated that offering Place was pretty quiet and empty which I love but i hope you go so they can stay in business.

What a great place! There is an amazing vibe, something Brazilian in the air… Love it! Food is tasty, Luciano makes creative Leblon Cachaça cocktails all with fresh seasonal ingredients. Price is really decent too :) very cool and casual!
