The manager GM called me and apologized. I really appreciated that and have changed the previous rating.

Returned recently and I still have the same issues as before. It’s a bad value for the money. Still over priced and food quality is low. I don’t mind spending money but only if it’s good. I ordered the Cream Cheese and Olive Sandwich. I think it was $ 9, which is outrageous and I think in order to justify that price point, they loaded on the cream cheese. It was three inches thick on the sandwich. The bread wasn’t toasted and with barely any other flavors on the sandwich it was all one note and bland. I had to scrape half the cheese off just to eat any of it. There were barely any olives or red onions. But still? $ 9? That’s ridiculous.

Disappointed for dinner. Why can I not order Stuffed Shrimp using Chef Shuttle? Called Cheers and was told no because it’s a special dish, really.

Usually a fan but VERY disappointed tonight. You buy a $ 30 fillet(or rather 2) and your expect it to have at least some seasoning… nope! Also smallest crab cakes ever. Took 20 min to get a bloody merry. Hope this was a one off thing and not indicative of how this place is headed!

Years ago, Cheers used to be decent — their daily specials could at times be excellent. Not sure what happened with ownership/management, but it’s downright poor now. Great atmosphere, and a pretty building — terrible food. I really, really want to like this place, but after several bad experiences I won’t be going back… would not recommend.

I enjoyed the atmosphere. A little pricey. The salads are served with this cardboard tasting cracker. What happened to warm bread for the cost of the salad?

Atmosphere is nice. Service is fast. Food is good. I would come here if you’re looking for American food, A cold alcoholic drink, and to hang out with friends.

Salads are good, other than that mediocre at best. It’s the nicest place in town, but the food isn’t very tasty.

This used to be my favorite place to eat years ago. I would go here after work, for special occasions, lunches and just to get a good drink and app. I want to say first and foremost the service is still wonderful. Unfortunately it just cannot make up for the lack of food quality and prices. Mostly with their specials. I’ve gone back time and time again because I believe in them but for some reason this location is sadly lacking now. I still enjoy the Heights restaurant very much though! Thanks for your attention. I hate writing bad reviews. I still love you, Cheers! Come back!

Really amazing food/service. I was beginning to think there were no good restaurants left! Pleasantly surprised!(:

Best steak we’ve had in a long time and worth the price. They have less pricey items too but we had the ribeye and filet and it was perfection. The service was seriously awesome. I’m extremely picky about food quality and service and am leaving a star review for both. We will definitely go back and atmosphere is modern and I’d love to see more booths but that’s seriously all I could suggest. Loved it!

Off to a bad start. I called twice once to make a reservation for 10. We had a surprise dinner for my future son-in-law. Ang again to confirm. When we arrived, no reservations could be found. My daughter had the oyster dinner, not good. Oysters we soggy. Sister ordered shrimp & got chicken served to her. The waiter made it good and brought her additional shrimp. Our server was very good I think the short fall was in the kitchen where the food was concerned. There is no excuse for loosing the reservation.

Unfortunately, I’m not a fan. Although the atmosphere is nice, and somewhat modern– the inflated prices and food leave me unimpressed. I’ve lived in the area for 7 years, and have visited numerous times. I’ve never fallen in love with Cheers. I recently tried the Grilled Turkey sandwich(lettuce, tomato and mayo on wheat, with choice of American, Jalapeño, Swiss, Cheddar, or Mozzarella cheese. $ 7.5). The meat was salty, and the bread was bland. I found it a little ridiculous to charge $ 7.50-$ 9.50 for basic sandwiches. Sides outside of potato chips are an additional charge — $ 2-$ 3, if I remember correctly. And the sides are SMALL. My husband got a small handful of fries. He also is allergic to wheat, so he opted for a burger minus the bun. It was fine, but nothing special. I will say, our server was very friendly. Maybe I am ordering the wrong items? I just can’t fathom paying $ 10-$ 20 for a basic meal that I can get most anywhere.

Enjoyed a late lunch/early dinner there a few days ago. It was my first time visiting Maumelle and this restaurant. I thought the food was excellent and the service was prompt and courteous. We sat near a ginormous 80″(?) TV — very impressive.

We went on a Sunday around 1pm(yes, they have recently opened themselves for Sunday business) and I was very disappointed with this experience. They offer only a limited menu on Sundays, which we were not informed of until arriving and being seated, even after calling earlier in the day to make sure they were open. They were short-staffed, making the service sparse and the food slow. My cheeseburger was nothing special and came out overcooked; the only thing to note that was really good were the sweet potato fries. Advice would be to avoid going to Cheers on Sunday until the managers see fit to staff their establishment properly.

We have lived in Maumelle for 10 years now. We have eaten at this establishment many, many times. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. We watched the quality of their food decline every year. The last time they served us what looked like dirty fries, not burnt. It was like the oil in the fryer was never, ever changed. Gross.

What to say about Cheers in Maumelle. I’ve been several times over the years and it seems to go up and down in quality and service. You’ll go once and enjoy everything and go back and the food quality and service is down. Not very consistent. Try it out and you might get lucky and hit it on a good night. Pricing is a bit high due to it’s consistency issues.

This place is considered fine dining in Maumelle. The food was average with a nice atmosphere. Prices are reasonable and probably the best place if you don’t feel like driving back into Little Rock.

Blech. I came here on a weekday around 1 pm. The patio is nice and the chairs are comfortable. The service was friendly and prompt, nothing to complain about. We ordered three appetizers; the fried crawfish, the crab cakes and the fried oyster remoullade. The crawfish were breaded and fried, and came with a cocktail-style red sauce in a little ramekin. Almost all of the crawfish themselves were very very small. A few medium sized pieces of meat sat in the bowl along with mostly cocktail-shrimp sized critters. The meat of the crawfish was completely bland and tasteless. Total lack of seasoning. Also, it was obvious that these were frozen crawfish — mushy texture. If I had closed my eyes and tasted these crawfish, I would have no idea in the world what they were. The second course was the crab cakes. The cakes were served on a plain white round plate with two packets of Saltine crackers.(wtf?) The tops and bottoms of the crab cakes were burnt black. Cutting in to them and taking a bite, I was sure it was a mashed potato cake. It was mushy, completely tasteless and had no recognizable chunks of crab flesh. Restaurants have the option to order several different quality levels of crab for their dishes. Jumbo lump, lump, claw, backfin, etc. This was the absolute bottom of the barrel garbage that Sysco will deliver. I sent it back. Finally, the fried oyster dish. Again, round white plate, a half-handful of shredded iceberg lettuce covering the bottom. Then a sprinkling of sliced canned black olives on the lettuce(weird). And around the outside of the plate sat six or seven sad looking fried oysters, each with a liberal squirt of orange/cream-colored goop. The flesh of the oysters was mealy and unpleasant. I don’t think that it was too overcooked because the breading wasn’t burned, perhaps they were mealy because they were old and not fresh. Overall, just too many glaring fundamental mistakes in the kitchen. This was not a matter of tweaking a tiny thing. Instead, these were basics that were botched so badly that only a new chef could save it. Unless someone has given you a gift certificate, stay away.
