Horrible with to go orders! Several times got home to a messed up order. Food is good, service is not!

Terrible service. We’ve been several times and the service is consistently poor. It’s pervasive enough that I would say it’s a management/training problem. Food is consistent with what you’d expect at an IHOP. If that’s what you’re craving, go to a different location.

Tried this I-hop several years after they opened because«I heard» when they first opened, it was chaotic, the food was horrible as well as the service was well below par. Well, rest assured nothing has changed! It is unbelievably embarrassing. Do not waste your money, time or one single second of your life. They were out of a popular juice on the menu, a popular bread/toast on the menu and to top it off the food was Cold and runny. It’s hard to do food this bad. you almost have to try mess it up. Ugh

This morning, Valentines Day 2015, I went to this IHOP around 9am for breakfast. Pulling into the lot, we saw that they were moderately busy(about ¾ full) so we went ahead and parked and went inside. The robot, sorry, lady, at the hostess stand kept repeating«Welcome to IHOP» whenever someone opened the door(which is fine, as it’s her job) but when asked how long the wait was, always quoted 5 — 10 minutes, even though the wait was closer to 15 – 20. She told this to everyone, over and over ad nausium. While we were waiting to be seated, several names were called who had given up and left and the reactions and mannerisms of the host staff should have given me warning about the rest of my ‘experience.‘ We are finally sat, about 20 minutes after arriving, we were sat in a booth right next to the service station along the back wall of the restaurant. You would think being here we would be seen and at least greeted quickly, but no. Several servers, and a manager or two walked by several times without so much as a «hello, can I get you something while you wait on your server?» Again, something I should have noted before I really committed to this. About 10 minutes later, and right before I was about to leave, a head pops around the server station telling me she will be right with us. So I confirm to myself what I’m going to order and go back to reading the story on my phone. A few minutes, maybe 5 or 7, I’ve lost count at this point, our server Annette shows up and doesn’t even bother with a hello, but rather ‘ill take your order now’. I order a country fried steak and eggs, over medium and my wife ordered the ham and cheese omelette. We also ordered two cokes. Those of you who have read my past reviews know I tend to drink a lot, and fast so I usually ask for a second glass or a carafe or a pitcher or whatever so I’m not running the server for refills. As usual, I did so this time too. 10 minutes later, Annette brings me a coke. Yes, just one. My wife takes a sip of hers and gives a face that would make the guy in the painting«the screamer» look happy, so I take a sip of mine and about spit it all right back out. It was friggin PEPSI. I don’t mind pepsi so much when I know I’m drinking it, but to not even be told that it’s Pepsi and not coke when I ordered a coke is a whole different matter. They are NOT the same thing and if I had known it was pepsi, I would have ordered a water or tea. Woe is me for not reading the menu page 99. At this point, it’s 9:47 meaning we had spent about 45 minutes inside IHOP without so much as a decent drink to sip on. I wonder how much longer it will take for our food to arrive. Watching the tables nearby get their food gave me hope as many of them had been sat right before us, but it wasn’t to be. We didn’t get our food until at least 10:15 and what we did get was, well… I guess it was technically food, but that’s about as far as I’ll go. My country fried steak was bland — obviously taken out of a sysco box and chunked in the fryer earlier that morning and left to sit. Luckily the gravy was semi-warm which made the thing palatable. My eggs, of course, were oven easy rather than the ordered over medium. No, I take that back. One was cooked properly, the other was not. The hash brows were cooked hours prior and were sitting and as far as I could tell were prepared by Chef Mike(the microwave) before finding their way to my plate. My pancakes were cold and really didn’t taste good at all — one bite and I pushed them away. Sad because pancakes and ihop… yeah, you get the picture. My wife’s omelette looked like ham and cheese thrown into a pile of scrambled eggs and them dumped onto a plate with some grease tossed in for good measure. She told me it wasn’t all that good. Another problem with the entire meal itself was that everything on my plate was over salted, causing me to be even more thirsty than I normally would be. Of course, Annette made sure my glass was perpetually empty and I sat there with a tongue dry as a desert. For the 2 hours I was in there, I received exactly ONE refill. One. For $ 2.29 for a drink, I think I’m entitled to a bit more than one 12oz glass of pepsi, especially since I can go down the road to walmart and get a 2L of pepsi for $ 1.50. But I digress. I have been to many other IHOPS in this area. In fact, I met my wife at an IHOP years ago(no, neither of us worked there). If you MUST go to an IHOP in the central Arkansas area, hit up University or Chenal or McCain. This one is horrible. It’s not open 24⁄7 and it’s closed on Wednesday for some odd reason. Crap service, crap food, crap management. Avoid at all costs.

Why isn’t ZERO stars an option? This is the third time I’ve had a horrible experience at this IHOP. Disorganized and lazy. Standing around talking while people wait for cold food. Only 1 girl working while 4 stand and talk. Never again will I give any of my money to my local IHOP. I hope that the 1 hard working girl finds a better work environment. I almost went back and offered her a job.

Worst service ever and over priced. Service was slow,(the place was not busy) and they screwed up my order.

Whenever I go to a restaurant now I honestly like to take notes, because lately, it seems like I have to write down my bad experiences to even remember them all. I was very disappointed with IHOP this time. My mashed potatoes were freezing cold. I was given ONE side of macaroni(which was also cold) and told it was two, and charged as such. Let’s be clear, it was one –one and a quarter at most(I took a picture of it to prove it), BUT I MOSTDEFINITELYDIDNOTRECEIVETWOSIDESLIKE I ASKED. My drink wasn’t refilled ONCE. No one waited on me. It took forever for me to get seated. As a customer, I am highly dissatisfied and I won’t be coming back. My family won’t be either.

Had a big black hair in the middle of an omelet today and this is not the first time this has happened at this location. Manager did not even come to our table to apologize. Will not be going back.

This is the ONLY iHop I’ve ever heard of that is not open 24⁄7. Also, it seems every time we go we have to wait a very long time for a refill on our drinks even when we are literally the only people in there. It’s Maumelle, it happens from time to time.
