Gold’s Gym

I joined this gym after canceling my membership at the Hagerstown, MD location. Because of the excellence of Hagerstown, I am disappointed.
I join Golds because of the Ladies gym. I’m sketched out at the large open floor plan of many gyms and only work out in Lady Golds because of it. I just feel more comfortable that way. So I LOVE that it’s an option.
However, the equipment in this particular Lady Golds is broken and dirty. It seems like when they need to retire something from the main gym, they just shove it into the Lady Golds section. To me, this is disappointing.
Also, I’m not impressed my the lack of helpfulness of the reception staff. When I arrived to join, I stood in front of an employee at a computer playing on her phone for an entire minute before she acknowledged my existence.

Wasn’t able to find this Golds under this address per my gps. Only saw an xtreme fitness gym across the street at 329 monroe so, if your gps leads you on a wild goose chase it is across from the mcdonalds off of 9. If you turned on 16e off of 81 then go past walgreens and over the bridge, to the left is eagle school rd at the light. Its actually between the east and queen st. Instersection.
They offer classes like Zumba, have a tanning room, and sauna in the bathroom (although theirs has currently been broken). Staff are usually welcoming, towels are at the desk, and supplies to clean gym equipment are throughout the place. I like the fact this gym is 24hrs, plenty of machines available when I go, and there’s also a play area for lil kids.

I was a member of Gold’s in Martinsburg for many years until I moved to Fresno, CA. I have visited Gold’s Gyms in Mexico, Colorado, Maryland, and California, and the Gold’s in Martinsburg is my favorite gym in the world. The staff there is so nice, the instructors are awesome, the people who go there are so friendly, and it feels like my «gym family.» I miss it so much! I’m in Fresno now, no Gold’s :(and I wish I could move my Martinsburg gym here! I really like the classes, the Move Strong equipment, and the employees! I wish all gyms were like this one!
