Good size chunks of chicken in the burritos! This place beats Moes and Willies in size and price.

Food is great price is great. Going back today for lunch. The new owners are very nice. You get a ton of food for your money. Chips and salsa are a great side with the large burrito.

The burritos here are alright. The size of the burritos are great for the price, but the chicken and rice seem to lack flavor and seasoning. Also, fresher tortillas would be nice. The salsa the owner offers is tasty, though.

Best Burritos in town! I’m not sure what these ladies are complaining about, the employees have always been talkative and excited. Those ladies seem like they were expecting a Ruth Chris Steak in their burrito or something. BB on the Square has great tasting Burritos with just enough space to sit down inside. I normally take my food to go, but sometimes I’m in the mood to relax, over all it’s a quiet, relaxed place to go get a good Burrito. @ MELINDA B. Got a Groupon for 3 Burrito meals. Went once, have tried to give away the other two meals, and no one will take the free(!!!) meals, if that’s any indication of quality. The chicken appeared to have been boiled with no seasonings, and shredded. The toppings were straight out of a can– canned corn, canned black beans, indifferent vegetables, limp cheese. The best word for my soggy burrito was«dispiriting». The restaurant is really tiny. Only a small table or two, room enough for a small line at the counter, and barely room enough behind for one employee. I’m going to be generous and assume that the reason he was so quiet and non-communicative was because his English might not have been the best. However, a smile and eye contact go a long way, and often improve the flavor of the food as well. I am on the Square several times a week, and always looking for a good, quick lunch. Since most the restaurants within walking distance are sit-down, this place could be a goldmine, and still could be with some fresher ingredients and a pleasant«I’m glad you’re here, customer!» smile. But as it is, I’m still trying to give away those two remaining Groupons…

The burrito is similar to Moe’s, willy’s & chipotle. Both the chicken & beef were kicked up a few notches– spicy. No alcohol. Service was fine– stand in line, choose your toppings, pay the man. One negative: he would not honor the check in offer in Unilocal for a free burrito with purchase of 2&2 drinks– claimed a prior owner did it.

I went to Big Burrito on the Square for lunch today and I have to say that this place is pretty damn good. The location is great(right next to Miss Mamie’s; my obsession) in Marietta Square. It’s similar to a Chipotle or Moe’s where you choose the ingredients you want. The ingredients were really fresh and crisp. I ordered a veggie burrito with a spinach wrap and it was delicious. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The people were nice, the food was great, the décor was minimal but clean. What can more can you ask for? It is a small place so I wouldn’t advise bringing large crowds. This will definitely be a weekly lunch spot for me now.

First, the good stuff: I like this place. The food is fresh, the service was relatively quick(although we were the only two in line when we entered). They had REALLY good Salsa music playing and I’m a big Salsa fan. The restaurant is very small, quaint and colorful but there was no room to dance to the great music! Oh well, its not meant to be a dance hall anyway so I’ll get over it. Now, the rest: If you are a foodie and have experienced other burrito spots like Willie’s and Moe’s you will not be impressed with the size of the«Big Burrito» here. Compared to those places, the size is average to possibly a little smaller. Also, if you’re looking for a large menu this is not the place for you. They sell burritos, tacos and quesadillas and that’s about it. I was pleased to see they offer a spinach tortilla, for the burritos only, but was disappointed with the quality. It looked like a flour tortilla that had been lightly dusted with spinach powder. The flavor was not bad but it wasn’t anything to get excited about either. Did I mention the place is small? While its quaint and cozy for a couple, it gets to be a pain as soon as more than 5 – 6 people come in at once. They didn’t put much thought into the planning for how people would get in and out. We were constantly bumped by people just trying to get in and out of the narrow walk space. If you get claustrophobic, don’t go during lunch or dinner rush unless you want to fight for the two tables outside on the sidewalk. Overall, it was a decent experience and the food was tasty so I will be back. Plus, I don’t mind supporting local, independent businesses who offer a good product.

The food was just okay. And yep, the burritos are big, but the contents of it were less than appetizing. All the fillings tasted as though they had been sitting out for quite some time, dry and flavorless. The owner was less than enthused to see us enter the establishment. He never smiled, appeared to sigh once he saw our group walk in(party of 5), and never even spoke until we approached the counter. 2 people out of our group had a deal to get $ 14 worth of food. This actually frustrated the owner, who said, «If I let you two use this, then I won’t make any money today.» Huh? You do realize that the rest of us were purchasing food with our own cash, right? Not to mention, if one person does not use their certificate today, then they STILL will be coming back another day to use it. Same«loss», no? Why do owners sign their businesses up for deals, then get mad when people BUY the deals, then bring them in? I don’t get it. With an attitude(eye rolling and lip smacking), he then agreed to take both vouchers, but he put a bad taste in one of my friends’ mouth. She flat out did not purchase anything at all. His hostile demeanor definitely made the remainder of the time in there very awkward, so we ordered it to go. My burrito was filled with chicken, guacamole, rice, beans, lettuce, salsa, and a few other things. I literally starting rattling off random toppings to get outta there. Again, the burrito was big and tasted okay, which warrants about three stars. That funky attitude from the owner and his weird excuse for not wanting to accept the vouchers takes this down to a 2.

I like the place, small, clean and has fresh food! Everything was fresh even though he gave me a 5 ingredient cap on my burrito. The salsa was fresh, nice taste, you get 2 options. Great prices and the restaurant was cute and very charming. I dined in… not a heavy crowd, but people just in and out.

Seriously the best burrito I have ever had. The pulled beef was delicious and all of the ingredients were so fresh. I do not know of any other burrito place that offers so many toppings, including guacamole, without charging extra.

I enjoyed this place so much my family and I went two days in a row. The Marietta Square location makes it a great place to hang out inside or out. I ordered a chicken burrito on the plain wrap. It was great!!! I added the lettuce, pico, black beans, cheese, and sause. Delicious!!! Don’t forget to add the Mexican Coke in the glass bottle. So Very Refreshing!!!

Big Burrito on the Square is a burrito shop that opened in Marietta Square in August 2012. It is located next door to the famous Miss Mamie’s(winner of Food Network’s Cupcake Wars). Big Burrito on the Square is like the Moe’s, Chipotle, or Willy’s of Marietta Square, except it appears to be a small, locally-owned and independently-run restaurant. I stopped by here for a weekday lunch and the business appeared to be a one-man operation. Presumably it was the owner who was running everything. The menu is pretty simple: chicken soup($ 2.95 cup, $ 4.95 bowl), fish tacos($ 3 each or 3 for $ 7.50), beef and chicken tacos($ 2.00 each), custom burritos($ 5.00+), beef and chicken taco salads($ 6.50), and quesadillas. Tortillas available for the burritos include flour and spinach tortillas. Chips and two different kinds of self-serve salsa, red and spicy green, are available as well. Like the chain burrito places, the burritos at Big Burrito on the Square are made on the spot. Ingredients behind the glass included lettuce, tomato, onion, pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, corn, jalapenos(fresh and pickled), black olives, cilantro, and cucumber. Everything looked fresh enough. I ordered a beef taco salad. The restaurant actually has two kinds of beef: ground beef and steak. I chose steak for my taco salad. The taco salad came in a hard tortilla shell bowl and I had it piled high with lettuce, tomato, pico de gallo, sour cream, guac, cheese, pickled jalapenos, olives, cilantro, and cucumber. Overall, I thought it was an okay taco salad. Nothing too special about it, including the meat. No complaints either. I do like how there is no additional charge for the guac(a lot of places charge additional for guac). In hindsight, I should have gotten a burrito bowl, which is cheaper than a taco salad and has almost the exact same ingredients except for the tortilla shell. Also, I think more ingredients fit into the bowl than into the taco salad. The taco salad uses a tortilla shell that is softer and more tasty(IMO) than the restaurant’s regular tortilla chips. Service was very good. We were the only customers at the time of ordering so our orders were made immediately. We also got free chips. I’m not sure if complimentary chips come standard with every order. You can find free street parking on the streets in the immediate vicinity of the restaurant. You can also park for free directly on the Square or go to the free lot off of Mill Street near North Marietta Parkway. The free lot is on the opposite side of the Square from the restaurant, across the railroad tracks.

This is a place I just tried yesterday during lunch. It’s kind of a hidden gem if you ask me. $ 2 Tacos and $ 5 Burritos made to order, how can you beat that? This place is pretty small with little seating but it’s easy to take your food to-go. I got a burrito with the tomato and basil tortilla and I loved it. I’m not a soft shell type of gal and this was a huge surprise for me. Mine was not soggy like someone else commented(maybe because it wasn’t sitting in salsa). Also, the in house salsas are delicious. I tried all 3 and good God they are amazing!

I understand that as of January 2013, this place has been under a new owner. I’ve been coming here to grab a burrito for lunch and return to my job that’snear the Square. As Jang C. mentioned, this place isn’t much different from Willy’s, which is great because it’s within walking distance from me and costs less. The spinach tortillas are a change of pace(even if the health benefits are probably more placebo than not), and I enjoy the fresh salsas, as well. I get my burrito to go, but there are some seats if one wanted to hang around to eat. In summary, I will be back often.

Big Burrito on the Square, just like the name implies, serves big burritos on the Marietta Square. I guess this place gets the award for the most descriptive store name. The place looks tiny. It looks like a cheap operation with not even a real sign in the front. They have handwritten poster board on the outside with their menu. When you walk in, they have limited seating. This place isn’t any different from Willy’s. However, if you order a burrito, you can choose between flour and spinach tortilla. I got the spinach tortilla, but I don’t know if there’s really a taste difference. Like all the other big burrito chains, you can stuff a bunch of crap into your burrito. They had the standard ingredients: salsa, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, cilantro, onions, guacamole, cheese, sour cream, etc. I did like how the guacamole was free. I got the steak burrito. Overall, the burrito felt soggy. The steak looked like it sat out for a long time. It also lacked flavor. The ingredients didn’t seem too fresh. I wasn’t impressed with the burrito. Going with the cheap theme, they have no fountain drinks. When I asked for water, he asked if I wanted bottle water or sink water. I got good, old sink water. It tasted like regular water to me. I didn’t like this place. Hey, at least it was cheap. Their burritos cost about $ 6 or less. I guess you do get what you pay for.

I felt obligated to write a review to counter-balance some of the negative reviews because those negative ones almost kept me from trying this place out. I’m so glad I gave it a shot anyway! My chicken burrito was delicious and the ingredients all tasted fresh(PLUS no charge for guacamole or any other extra). My friend had the beef(which was more like beef tips or steak) and he also loved it. The chicken was not quite as flavorful as Willy’s or Moe’s, but overall, the burrito was better than any of those other two places. My friend said the beef was better than both Willy’s and Moe’s. The only negative, as mentioned in the other reviews, is that there is no fountain(only cans). But for the price, you can’t beat this place for burritos. This is worth a separate line: The salsa verde is unbelievable. It has a citrus flavor with a nice kick. By far the best salsa verde I’ve ever had(their other salsa flavors were good as well)

Great value!!! Huge burritos that are really tasty. The salsas are fresh from scratch and probably the best bang for your buck in Marietta square. There are only a few things that make it not a 5 star joint. It is extremely hot inside and if your not lucky enough to get one of the two tables on the sidewalk its a little uncomfortable. They don’t have fountain drinks, only canned soft drinks, therefore no re-fills. If either of these things were resolved(which probably wont happen) then I would give it a big ol’ 5 star! The décor is very unimpressive and looks like a middle school homeroom made the signs, but don’t let that scare you. The food is legit! And thats what it is all about!
