I used to work in this area and would come to Jack’s Deli frequently. I always liked their sandwiches. They have a good selection of both cold and hot sandwiches and some interesting variants of standard sandwiches with unique names. I was in the area recently and stopped by for lunch. I had Em’s roast beef sandwich. This is a hot sandwich on a hoagie roll with Swiss cheese and horseradish mustard. It was a good sandwich but didn’t quite rise to the level of what I would expect for $ 9.99. The bread could have been more fresh tasting. The horseradish dressing was not strong enough for my tastes. The quantity of beef, though, was plentiful and of good quality. A big plus are their fries, which are fresh cut. Service here is friendly and quick. This is a good place to go if you’re in the area and want a good sandwich. Next time I might try a different sandwich.

My husband and I have been living in the Cobb County area for a few years now and can’t believe we just found this place. The breakfast is absolutely delicious! I like the fact that they use real eggs in your breakfast sandwiches. I normally order the eggs, bacon and cheese sandwich with home fries. One day I will be able to catch them in time for lunch. My only issue is I wish they had longer hours besides that this is one of my new go to restaurants!

Amazing… Great food and great staff. I would go everyday if it was easier to park grab my food and go. Try the Outlaw… you won’t regret it.

absolutely a great place for lunch. I’ve tried several items on the menu and never had an issue. Breakfast options are also great especially since breakfast can be had throughout the day. There are a plethora of items available from salads, to subs, to breakfast meals. The court also at times place large orders and everyone I know enjoys their meals. will definitely return as this is the hot spot on the square.

Only one word… DELICIOUS! I am from out of town. Came here b/c of close proximity to courthouse and the ratings on Unilocal.I was not disappointed. I had the Philly Cheese steak and fries. Was yummy. Definitely will be coming here again.

Been meaning to check this place out for a while since I drive by the square every morning for work. Stopped by during early lunch rush on a weekday. It was already busy by 11:00am, so that’s a good sign. I saw a mix of people who sat down to eat and those who called in to go orders. I ordered the bagel D-Lox(salmon, cream cheese, tomato, and onion). Delicious and unique sandwich. I’m a fan of salmon sashimi so this seemed like a natural pick. The bagel wasn’t too tough or too soft, the cream cheese wasn’t spilling out over the bread with each bite, and the fish was fresh. Although it was marginally pricey(nearly $ 8 for the sandwich alone), I would highly recommend it if you want to break away from standard breakfast items. I can see myself going back to try more of their menu, especially the reubens. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. The walls are rustic and charming. Cashier was nice, and my food got to me within a few minutes. No complains about service or location.

My mom and I hit this place at around 10:30 after going on a hike. It was between breakfast and lunch crowds, so there was only a couple of other people in the place. I liked the relaxed atmosphere. :-) I had an omelet and breakfast potatoes, while mom had a Reuben and fries. Both were great quality and delish! We spent $ 16 dollars for a great meal with tea included. We will definitely be back! :-)

Very yummy! Fresh ingredients that make an awesome sandwich! I had the Chicken pesto panini and it was oozing with melted mozzarella deliciousness! Would definitely come back!

Can’t think of many negative things to say about this place, other than the fact that it can be very crowded at peak lunch hour. Typically the staff is very friendly, and the wide selection of sandwiches caters to pretty much everybody. They are also very flexible and can pretty much make you whatever kind of sandwich you want, assuming the ingredients are on the menu. They do a great fried chicken salad, and their breakfast(served all day) is quite good as well. If you’re not on a diet, go for the Big Ass Roast Beef and a side of hand-cut fries, with the house-made special salt on top. You’ll need a nap afterward.

Came in for lunch a couple weeks ago with a friend who told me this place had good sandwiches. Wandered in around 1pm or so on a Sunday and the place was relatively dead(BBQ fest going on in the square). Wasn’t really sure what to order but was hungry so I asked what was the biggest sandwich they had and was promptly told about the the Don, which boasted a half lb each of pastrami and corned beef. It was indeed a beast of a sandwich and I got done w/only half of it along w/some of the potatoes. Was it tasty? yes. Did it have a helluva lot of meat on it? yes. However, it wasn’t the most delicious sandwich I’d ever had, and at $ 15.99 it was quite the dent on the wallet for a sandwich. In fact I actually liked what my friend got a little better(a BBQ beef sandwich of some kind that was the special that day), and the fries were definitely better than the potatoes as well. I’d give this place another shot but I’ve probably had my last meeting w/the Don.

One of our favorite, most unexpected places to go in the square for breakfast! Well my boyfriend likes to order their breakfast, I’m one of those estranged ones that loves a Reuben first thing in the morning with some coleslaw thrown in to the mix! Thankfully, this place can accommodate the both of us! Some of my favorites include the: Cordon Blue Panini Turkey Reuben Turkey Rachel & the Belly Buster I try to order something different every time we go in, but these are usually my fail safes when I can’t make up my mind. Generally, their specials are almost always on point! I can’t believe some of the reviews, because when it comes to a darn fine sandwich, they never disappoint! Really, the prices aren’t bad, you get a side and a drink included with the price.

Meh. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m from New England and have been to a lot of delis actually INNYC or what, but these are just average sandwiches to me. If they were less expensive, my review would probably be higher, because they were tasty. But for that price and with THAT name, these should be piled high with meat, ala true NY deli style. I can make a sandwich like this at home for far less $. With all the options on the square, we’ll try somewhere else next time.

Yay! I’m a fan of any place that makes a dayum good Philly cheese steak… I’m a bigger fan of a place that makes an original twist on the Philly and elevates it to the next level… What is this mystical sandwich I speak of? THEOUTLAW my friends. Check out my photo for the details. Trust me when i say this sandwich is LEGIT. Thanks again to the awesome girl who recommended it to me. The building is a little whole in the wall but nice and quite for lunch, a few TVs, and relatively short wait time.

Skip this place and head to Fireman’s a few blocks away. Drew and I visited to this«restaurant» around 2 p.m. on a Thursday. Drew is from NY so it was interesting to see what he would think of this place. Drew wanted to leave as soon as came through the door. But, I said let’s give this place a chance. I should have listened to my friend. Drew ordered the philly cheese steak and I ordered a reuben. Both dishes were a disaster. I had big balls of meat on my sandwich. Yes, it probably was freshly cut but please take time to separate the meat. And, a good sandwich starts with a good cut of meat. I reached for the condiments on the table and was repulsed by the sticky bottle. This meant the place was not clean. Yuk. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands again. The service was not friendly. The country music blaring was not entertaining at all. Very obnoxious. The server on her phone and singing to the country music was not entertaining as well. I don’t know how anyone could give this place more than one star.

As a born-and-raised New Yorker, Jack’s caught my attention more than once as being someplace I’d like to try. As someone who thoroughly loves to cook and loves good food, I try and keep a keen eye for a new place to have a seat and a meal. Immediately upon walking into Jack’s I was struck by the atmosphere. It’s a lot more Colonial Rustic than New York, but still cozy and inviting; the modern décor and furniture give a nice balance to the antiquated building. The staff are friendly enough, and the menu has more than a decent selection of items — so much so that if you were visiting a restaurant where they didn’t quite know what they were doing, this would be cause for concern. The folks at Jack’s, however, clearly do know what they’re doing. I ordered a vegetable omelet with seasoned potatoes and my girlfriend ordered a sausage egg and cheese bagel. Now as I said, I’m a born and bred New Yorker so I would be dishonest if I told you that you could get a genuine New York bagel here or anywhere else outside of the tri-state area, so if that’s what you’re expecting prepare to be disappointed.(Also, adjust your freaking expectations; you CAN’T get a New York bagel far away from New York any more than you can get a decent slice of pizza.) That said, the food at Jack’s is extremely good. My omelet was expertly prepared with very tasty vegetables, the potatoes it came with were perfectly seasoned, and my girlfriend’s bagel sandwich was exactly what you’d expect from a well-made breakfast sandwich on an adequate bagel. The portion sizes are also excellent. I usually take issues with places trying to cash in on the deliciousness of New York cuisine by cramming«New York» into their name, but Jack’s food is(so far) good enough to let slide in making that claim.

I think I can fairly say that a good cup of coffee can legitimately bring me back to a business. Today was my first time, and unless I just got lucky, Jack’s has great coffee. I’m not sure how it’s made, honestly. It appears that it is by fresh ground beans, but it comes out of a machine similar to the ones they have at like QuikTrip. the cappuccino machines. It came out looking frothy like a ‘cino but definitely was regular coffee. You order at the counter, which makes it more casual. They call it a Deli, but really, there’s not a ton to see as far as meats and cheeses behind a deli counter. That was a little disappointing. I probably wouldn’t even have thought about it, if I didn’t see like 4 logs of meat just laying on a shelf behind the glass. It’s more like a café, or a sandwich shop, I guess. I had Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on an Everything bagel. This type of meal(and yes, it can be very filling) I can be caught DROOLING over. REAL Taylor Ham, if you’ve never heard of it, it is really a northern thing. I had this meal just a few weeks ago in New Jersey and as far as Jack’s stacking up… I give the sandwich 4 out of 5 stars :) If you were blindfolded eating it, you’d almost never know it came from the south. Here are the small differences… 1. Jack’s bagel was tasty and acceptable, but there’s no bagel like a Jersey or NYC bagel. It should be thick enough to almost no longer have a hole in the middle. outside is harder, inside is soft and flavor, if it has any, goes alllll the way around — top and bottom. Some say it’s the water up north that makes the difference, so maybe it’s beyond their control. 2. Jack’s used white cheese. Not sure what kind exactly. It was delish, but in the North, you’ll get yellow american. 3. The most important part; the Taylor Ham. Usually a few thicker slices. Jack’s had many thin slices. Still bueno, but worth noting for the other Yankees. 4. Optional: Up North, they know to ask«Salt, pepper, ketchup?» Jack’s didn’t ask. but not everyone likes to add that to their sandwich. My mom had the same but on Jack’s «kaiser» roll. I didn’t get to see it, but she said it wasn’t really a kaiser roll. If I can get confirmation on this, I’ll update the review. The place is small but not tiny. Nothing special, but typical bricks and concrete, I think, of the Marietta Square. They have a breakfast menu and a lunch menu. They have chairs and tables outside, but when I arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday, they were not set up. By the time I left Jack’s around 1pm, they were set up. Not sure why the delay or if that’s normal. It was too hot to sit outside that day anyway. 4 out of 5 stars, because I know the«truth» about Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese on a bagel. ;) Definitely going back to Jack’s to try more!

We stopped in to get some takeout on the way to six flags cause we wanted something decent to eat for lunch. I followed everyones advice and got the matts shrimp concoction and it was awesome! They even were able to sell us some ice we needed for our coolers, definitely recommend this place and really want to go back to try some of their other traditional new york sammiches.

I ding a star, ONLY because they close at 3 so no dinner service! Else we would frequent more often! Food was a 5 star, rated by me(chicken pesto panini), my wife(Wee Willy), and my son(Grilled Cheese). Beautiful interior! So not what I had expected curb side! Staff was helpful and patient(it was our first vist)! We are already planning our next visit! Wish they area warranted longer hours! Breakfast menu looks amazing! Definitely going back for breakfast!
