The Starlight Café is unique in the atmosphere it’s trying to present — a self-proclaimed«Frank Sinatra /50’s Theme» restaurant. To me, it looks like any old casual American restaurant or hot dog/hamburger joint, except it has photos of 1950s American pop culture on the walls — Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Paul Newman and Jackie Gleason from The Hustler, Henry Winkler and Ron Howard from Happy Days, etc. — and perhaps some Sinatra music playing in the background. The restaurant is located at Marietta Square, next to Miss Mamie’s Cupcakes. It’s open everyday from 7am to 3pm. They serve breakfast(all day) and lunch. The setup here is fast casual. Order at the counter and wait for your food to be brought out to you. Sides and drinks(fountain drinks or tea) are included with every meal order. The restaurant also has several TVs tuned to ESPN. The menu is affordably priced. You won’t find any breakfast items over $ 5 – 6 and any lunch items over $ 7 – 8. The breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches, omelettes, hashbrowns, pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and grits. The lunch menu mainly includes salads, sandwiches, hot dogs, and burgers. There are also specials. Take note of the whiteboards inside and outside of the restaurant. A good thing about Starlight, especially in this part of Atlanta metro, is the restaurant uses only grass-fed Angus beef(never frozen), free range chicken, and organic produce. I came here for lunch on a Thursday and the restaurant seemed to have a good bit of business. I asked the owner what Starlight is known for and one of his responses was their burgers. I was immediately sold on the burger, especially because the beef was grass-fed. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger($ 8.49). It didn’t take long for it to come out from the kitchen. Along with the grass-fed beef patty, melted cheese, and two strips of bacon, it also had the standard lettuce, onion, and tomato. The burger was made-to-order and all of the ingredients were fresh. The slice of lettuce was humongous. Overall, the burger was not bad. I felt like there could have been more meat in it. The bun seemed to overwhelm the entire burger-eating experience. It was just too«bready.» The beef patty itself seemed a tad dry and could have had more flavor. I had onion rings as my side and they were fine. They came with a dipping sauce that resembled some sort of aioli or mayo-based sauce. Relatively speaking, the onion rings, and the burger for that matter, were not greasy. I did have one onion ring that seemed overcooked. It was like a ring of nothing but burnt batter. Service was great. The owner and the lady I presume to be his wife were very friendly and accommodating. The best place to park for Starlight Café is directly on the Square(free parking). If there aren’t any parking spaces there, then park in the free parking lot at the corner of Mill Street and North Marietta Parkway. This parking lot is located caddy corner from the corner of the Square Starlight Café is closest too(if that made any sense).

Breakfast here is no joke! They make such good food I haven’t even made it to the lunch yet. You get what you pay for. The portions are large. That is definitely a plus. Try the breakfast burrito. You will not be let down.

Fresh fresh fresh. Pretty much sums it up. The burger patties were hand pressed, the bread soft and fluffy, and the fries were light and crispy. the atmosphere was clean and the staff were friendly. I will be back, and soon.

Stopped here recently after a visit to the Square and was pleasantly surprised by this little restaurant. They serve organic produce, free-range chicken, and angus beef, so you know you aren’t eating a bunch of crap. That’s a nice incentive to go ahead and splurge on a side order of their tots, which are crisped to absolute perfection. Aside from the spectacular tater tots, the other food is also delicious. My BLT was stacked with thick slices of bacon, and everyone in my party of five devoured his or her meal. The items on our table included a hot dog, a huge side salad, and a variety of sandwiches, and everything was good. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Waited 20 min for French fries in a crummy outdated restaurant with what looked like googled images of frank Sinatra on the wall framed in Walmart frames. The customer service was a nightmare and the dudes in the back looked unprofessional and had none of their long redneck beards trimmed.

The Starlight Café looks like a hip, trendy sandwich shop in Marietta Square. On paper, they do everything right. They have fresh, organic ingredients. They use grass fed beef for their burgers. And so on. They have a good selection of salads, sandwiches, and burgers. They all look delicious. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. I decided to get the shrimp and avocado sandwich. The shrimp and avocado sandwich came on a decent bun. They grilled the shrimp well, and everything looked great – except for one thing. They forgot to give me my avocados. They fixed the problem though when I alerted them about it. But they only gave me a few slices. I hoped they would’ve hooked me up with the avocados. I found that most restaurants skimp out on the avocados. For my sides, I got onion rings. They were huge and delicious. The breading was nice and crispy. They were so huge and filling, I couldn’t finish them. Maybe I’m getting old. I liked their sandwich and they have a neat concept. One thing: they are on the Level Up Website, but they don’t accept Level Up anymore.

I am a super fan of the place. The food tastes amazing and the portions are huge. They guarantee you won’t leave hungry. The owner is always there and walks around smiling all the time and greeting his customers. Burgers are amazing! Huge fan!

This is one of my favorite lunch spots. We just happened to try it one day, and thank goodness! Its great! They have sandwiches and burgers, and a variety of other items on the menu. I have enjoyed several sandwiches and several different burgers, and I have not been disappointed yet. Other item — I’m on Cowboy Melt Burger probation. The burger is epic — cheese, texas toast, onion ring, bbq sauce… srsly, its heaven. However, based on the ever increasing size of my rear, I must place myself on a probationary status for this sandwich. I highly encourage the rest of you to try it. In addition to the sammy’s, there are a nice selection of sides including sweet potato fries, and I think there are tots. The side and a drink are included in the price, which really makes this a screaming deal for the price of food lately. Everybody go — I don’t want this little lunch joint to go out of business because of lack of bodies. GOEAT!

The Starlight Café is located just off the square. It has interesting 50s décor with lots of pictures of the«rat pack» on the walls and it advertizes organic food and grass-fed beef. You order your food at the front counter and then it is brought to your table. My boyfriend and I visited for lunch recently and both ordered shrimp po-boys, which were the special that day, as combos with fries and a drink. The po-boys were quite good, but we both agreed that there was a little too much sauce on them. The waitress and the owner were both really friendly and accommodating. I would definitely like to return soon to try one of their burgers as they all sound really delicious.

I just ate there for the first time. I got a burger, fries and a drink. The burger was incredibly good. Organic, locally grown beef really makes a difference, and it’s delicious! The price for the combo is under $ 10, which is a great deal. The fries taste really good, I don’t know if they’re fresh cut, but if they aren’t they’re a level above most. They only have 6 drink options, and Coke-Zero isn’t one of them(boo!) but I can’t really hold that against them. I’ll definitely be back again! They don’t have any super spicy menu options, but they do have a three-alarm burger with jalapeños and hot sauce. I’ll probably try the buffalo burger next time.(I only mention this because I hunt out places with super spicy food.)

They have grass-fed beef, cage-free eggs(not organic) free-range eggs, organic greens in their salads. Nuff said. I am a loyal customer and a fan. I probably eat here two to three times a month. I am not sure if the milkshakes are all of the above quality, but they were oh so good! The staff are super friendly and always fun to talk to. There are cool pictures of «the rat pack» on the walls, Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and that other guy… Peter Lawford, along with other famous 50’s stars. I always enjoy my time at Starlight Café. Looking forward to the next visit.

Burgers are great and a good size… and they have a decent variety. The guys working there are very friendly… The one thing I wish they would change is the price of thier hotdogs… I never feel comfortable paying more then $ 2.75ish for a hotdog and I think thiers are closer to $ 5.00-$ 6.00 bucks. I would gladly pay $ 6.00 for a 2 hotdog combo with just mustard or kraut or chili and a bag of chips and small drink. But that is not an option. Hotdogs are like tacos… you are meant to eat more then one. and you can have different types. Just my suggestion. Oh. and be open more on the weekend. Jacks NY Deli is closed most of the weekend. this place would do itself a favor and gain new customers that are on the square with thier families on the weekend if they were open!

My wife and I stopped by here while surveying Marietta and were delighted with the delicious, organic food and the hospitable staff. The burger and fries were among the best I’ve ever had. Definitely stop by if you’re in the square.

The steak and cheese Philly sandwich was notably delicious(plenty of bread — doesn’t get soggy in your hands, steak was tender, not too much cheese, onions and mushrooms were there for flavor but did not make up for lack of meat, etc…). Our table was clean, and the dining area was open, but not loud. I definitely appreciate them using«grass-fed Angus beef, free-range chicken, and 100% organic produce.» If I had to suggest an improvement, I would try to phase out Styrofoam cups for drink(just from an environmental standpoint). I know it’s annoying to wash cups, but to me, these things can sway whether or not I visit a restaurant(…Chic-fil-A). Overall, though, great place!!!

Ate here for breakfast — owner was very friendly, and willing to accomodate special orders. Got the breakfast platter with bacon, eggs were great — bacon was on the thin side. Also had the steak philly cheese omlet and was very impressed. good find — and very tasty. would recomend to check out if your in the area.

Kudos to a place in the square that is 1. close to my work and 2. uses only Grass Fed Angus Beef, Free Range Chicken, and all organic produce! The staff is super nice and you can usually get your order pretty quick compared to a few other of the resturaunts around.

Good burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and salads near the Marietta square. The hot dogs are huge and come with multiple toppings. There are multiple burger options as well. The chef/owner is a great guy and takes pride in the food. It is usually less crowded than its next door neighbor, Jack’s New York Deli. The service can be a little slow when they get busy.
