Authentic Mexican taqueria. Next time we will sit at the Counter to watch them make the fresh corn tortillas. Feels like you are in Mexico. The real deal for sure. Had pollo tacos and huaraches. Delish!

So after living close by for a while, I’ve been dozens of times. It’s just not worth the hassle these days. The wait for your food is forever and a lot of time the meat just seems like stew meat regardless of the type you get. I had to wait over 5 minutes to get a fork the last time I ate there and then they tried to charge different prices than what was on the menu. Won’t be going back.

Authentic Mexican… Just notice the clientele when you walk in. Fresh masa is used and the tortillas, sopes and huaraches are made as ordered! Great salsa bar.

You know how in movies gangsters always talk about leaving the states and living like kings off of their drug money? Julia’s makes me feel like that’s what I’m doing. I feel like one rich bitch when I eat at Julia’s. This place isn’t tex mex and it can seem a little intimidating if you’re a white bread gringo but take one bite of a torta with pastor and you’ll be back. You can get cheaper tacos here than you would at taco bell and they’ve got 100% less oats and spider meat. They’re street tacos so you just get the meat you ordered on a freshly made tortilla, but they’re so good and have a cart full of toppings to dress them with. Bonus: There is a metro pcs store attached to the kitchen so if you need a shit phone you can kill two birds with one stone amigo.

Nice place for authentic Mexican food. The spot is small with a sit down counter. There are a few tables in the back. My barometer for any taqueria is of course tacos. I had asada and chorizo. The tortillas are made fresh to order and they are awesome. I was pretty happy with the tacos. They are bigger than your 4″ street style tacos so be careful on how many you order. Four tacos filled me up good. There is a salsa bar located in the back that has some great stuff on it. Be careful of the hot salsa, it is super hot(and I am a hot and spicy kind of eater). The salsa verde is nice and it compliments the chorizo nicely. I would definitely give this place a try if you really like authentic Mexican food. No gringo food here.

Very difficult to give this place a 4 star review! My veggie enchiladas & my Pal’s chicken enchiladas were surprisingly fantastic & so authentic! Everything homemade… Even the chips! Our server was the most unfriendly & unhappiest gal. Never a «hello,» no «welcome,» no smile… Geez… Give is a fake smile and whisper a welcome., wtf!!! The Salsa bar looks bad… But it was pretty good if you like hot & spicy!

We love this place and go as much as possible though we have to pass about 100 other Mexican restaurants to get there(about 12 miles). This is authentic food, not like the commercial chains. I usually have either the street tacos or the egg and chorizo breakfast. But my favorite is Pozole(sp?) which they only serve on Fridays. It is amazing!

Julia’s is one of my favorite(lesser known) restaurants. The food is so good! I love their tacos, especially since the tortillas are made fresh right in front of you. They have great lunch specials and the tortas are delicious. One of my favorite things about Julia’s is the salsa bar in the back — however… I do have to warn you… some of the condiments are made with Habanero peppers that look like bell peppers chopped up.

The tortillas are made fresh to order and the bread for the tortas is soft & pillowy. The meats are heavily seasoned, with an extensive salsa bar in the back. If you speak Spanish, it’s a plus. The prices are more than fair. But the ambiance is wack. Solid, cheap Mexican hole in the wall.

This is an authentic Mexican Restuarant! The tortialls are hand-made, you can see them being made! The staff is friendly and all speak spanish, this is a great place to practicey your spanish:-) The portions are large, the sauces and marinated vegatables are delish, the caramel flan here is very good! I make a mean caramel flan so this is a high compliment. I had the Chiles Rellenos, the Burritos, the Enchiladas, all authentic and delish. The prices are reasonable. I highly recomend Julia’s tacqueria. I eat here at least once a week.

I went here based on the previous reviews. I was not disappointed. Appearance: This place is not fancy like El Nopal. It is a small family owned restaurant. It is somewhat run down, but don’t let the looks fool you. I sat at the counter(with the Metro PCS counter across the hall behind me) to watch the folks in the kitchen. Food: I watched a woman grab balls of dough, press them flat and throw them on the griddle for the freshest corn torillas you can get. Then the cook went over to a warming table to fill my torillas with steak, onions and cilantro. I only ordered 2 of the $ 1.85 tacos, but I was filled up(I could have eaten 3, but then I’d have been miserable). The steak was tender and pretty good(although not as good as the steak from the El Don Food Truck). While I ate, I watched them prepare food for the other diners. I was amazed at the size of the plates going out. Pretty much double the amount of food as at your traditional Mexican Restaurants like El Nopal… for very reasonable prices. I’ll definitely be back.

Best. Taqueria. Ever. I was on the fence about telling the world of Unilocal about this place, but it’s so good I feel I’ve been hiding a secret from you and I can’t take the guilt any longer. First off, this is a traditional taqueria, not a trendy joint. The tortillas are made fresh to order and are thicker than the store bought tortillas most places use. Best tortillas that your Mexican grandma never made. The campechanos(asada and chorizo) tacos make me drool just typing about them and the pastor and lengua are fantastic. The salsa bar has a pickled onion/habanero mix that is unbelievable, along with the usual radishes, cilantro, pickled jalapenos, salsa verde and rojo, limes, etc. The tortas are huge and amazing. Horchata or Mexican Coke(read:real sugar) to drink and less than $ 10 for a huge meal. Seriously.

If you’re in the area, stopping by Julias is a must! It’s easy to miss as it’s tucked away in a small shopping center. Saying that this is a small hole in a wall restaurant is no exaggeration, as it shares the same room as a metro PCS store. I ordered 3 tacos: Shredded beef, steak, and Mexican sausage. I ordered three thinking that portion sizes would be similar to that of Taqueria Del Sol, but I was pleasantly surprised by the large sizes of these tacos. I can usually down 4 tacos from Taqueria Del Sol, but I was satisfied by the time I finished my second taco from Julias! The tacos here are made with corn tortillas and with a generous helping of fresh cut onions and cilantro. The tacos were made fresh, and the meats were all very tender. What really makes Julia’s Taqueria stand out, is not only the high quality of its food but also the price! Tacos were priced as low as 1.85 and I paid a little over 5 dollars after taxes for 3 huge tacos! I really think I could have been full with just 2.

The most amazing tacos I’ve had since moving to Atlanta from SF. I was so happy after 3 tacos(barbacoa, pastor, carne asada), a side of beans and rice and half a steak torta that I almost didn’t want to tell the world about Julia’s. It was a well-kept secret that I wanted to keep to myself but … no … Y’all need to try this for yourself to understand. The salsas were spicy and flavorful and the pickled peppers and onions and cilantro were awesome on my carne asada taco. Say no more to Moe’s, goodbye to Willy’s — the food at Juila’s(IMHO) is among the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long, long time. Recommend sitting at the bar to watch the magic happen before your very eyes. Parking can be tough so share a ride if you can.
