I have no idea why this place has such high reviews… the only thing it has going for them is I get my food pretty darn quick. I was coming back from school and on the way to work at 10:30am; a time where the tummy doesn’t know if it wants breakfast or lunch. If lunch, what’s even open?! Okay tummy, I’m settling for a sandwich or a wrap. Shake ‘n Go it is… yes, I KNOW we haven’t liked it in the past… but let’s give it another go. My mistake. The wrap was soggy and soaked in ranch. The tortilla had a foul smell that took HOURS to get off my hands. I could have made it better from home. Especially at $ 7 to-go! I won’t be back… it made my tummy turn.

Shake ‘n Go is awesome for the price. Good burgers, good variety of non-burger items, great side choices, tasty shakes, and good service. Love it!

This is a nice burger place! They have quite a few burger and sandwich selections on their menu. They even have sweet potato fries. Their shakes are nice and thick, and the blackberry shake I ordered had real chunks of fruit in it.

Out and about in Lynnwood for a Emissions test and I was hungry. I hadn’t been here in person and saw great reviews. Little did I remember that one of our former teammates had brought burgers to work form here? Had I remembered, I might not have come in because I was unimpressed. The personal visit changed my mind on their burgers. The only minus I found was the burgers were slightly overcooked. The plus was they changed flame broiled. I had the Double Cheese Burger with Bacon; the bacon was tasty and they used real leaf lettuce which is a nice touch. The fries were excellent. This is a family run business. You can tell they take pride in their place. And if you are not into burgers, they have deli sandwiches, wraps and fish & chips.

Since Herfy’s Burgers is now closed in Lynnwood, I decided to try out the Shake ‘n Go by the Lynnwood Convention Center. I was not disappointed at all. their calamari was good too. I had the Alcupulco(spelling??) burger & I couldn’t find one thing wrong with it. I would defenitly go there again!

I’m glad I went here a second time before writing this review, as my second lunch here was far superior to the first. This place is primarily a good old-fashioned burger joint, apparently mom-and-pop owned and run. Service is prompt and friendly and the place is spic-‘n-span clean. Today I had the bleu cheese burger and my companion had the pastrami burger, and both were absolutely A-OK: good quality beef not overdone and served on a toasted bun with crispy crunchy fresh fries fresh out of the deep fryer. Hard to go wrong and I’ll likely be a regular when I’m in the mood for the quintessential American lunch. You won’t be disappointed with their burgers. You might, however, be disappointed with the fish-‘n-chips platter, which is the first thing I ordered here. The quality of the food was fine but the price is what really just killed me: $ 12 for some battered cod, a half-handful of clams and two oysters with a bunch of fries. I get that seafood is more expensive but we’re not talking fresh seafood that actually needs some effort to prepare, we’re talking cheap battered stuff… way overpriced. If you’re in the mood and prepared to pay for it, you won’t be disappointed with the quality, but I still say it was way overpriced. The burgers, on the other hand, were fabulous and are on the opposite end of the pricing scale — quite reasonably priced. My bleu cheese burger with fries was about $ 7; you can’t beat that. Give them a try!

I’ve seen this place for a while and finally decided to try it. It’s not in the best location for a restaurant, but I guess being across the parking lot from the Lynnwood Convention Center provides decent foot traffic. I had the bacon burger and fries. The patty was tasty and cooked well and with tasty bacon. The fries were standard food service fries, which if they want to stand out from the crowd need to be different. Next time I’ll try the sweet potato fries. My girlfriend had the clam strips. The portion was really large for the money, however they were food service strips. The inside was clean and well appointed. The service was great and our food arrived quickly. I’ll go back on a regular basis.

A solid burger place. They had a lot of types of burgers(think Blazin Onion or other burger places). I got the Cstrips(of which I am a connoisseur). They were pretty good. Their fries were actually pretty great too. Very clean place, and a cute lady taking our order. I’m ok with this.

You certainly can’t knock this place for what they do right. And they do a lot of things right. They’ve carved out kind of a cool little corner for themselves near the convention center in Lynnwood. Must make for some crushing rushes at times, but it must help keep the place afloat too. The awning outside actually doesn’t do justice to how nice the dining room feels, for what it is. You think you’re going into a run of the mill independent fast food place, but they really have tried to make the dining room feel a little bit more like a casual neighborhood place and less like fast food. A few framed pictures, a tv… they’re trying. The bathrooms are clean and the chairs are more comfortable than the molded plastic benches at a fast food joint. Friendly service. Decently extensive menu with a wide variety of burgers – caramelized onion burger, blue cheese burger, this burger, that burger, along with the usual cheese, mushroom, swiss, bacon, and so on. Nice touch. You get your burger and the bread tastes fresh, the produce on it tastes fresh, the blue cheese tastes like blue cheese. All this points to some real effort happening behind the scenes. But then you start noticing what makes it just fast food. Other than the fact that you order at the counter and there’s a standard issue soda fountain there, you notice what’s on the plate. Along with all the decent stuff, you’re eating a patty that was clearly machine-formed and frozen, and the onion rings and fries clearly came in a bag, ready made. These are the things that matter most. You’re paying $ 10 a head for a basic order… why not make it $ 11 or $ 12 and cut onion fresh, make patties fresh? In the end, there’s nothing wrong with this place if you’re here, and prices are fair enough. The setting is fine. But it’s hard to get really excited when the things that matter most are just OK. This place gets really close to getting it all the way right. Too bad they decided to cut costs right before making that last jump.

Super large burgers with large cut seasoned and slightly battered fries! Yum! This place has a huge selection of not only burgers, but sandwiches also. I’ve been here a few times– had the bacon cheese burger and the western(onion rings with BBQ sauce) and loved both! Large portions and the people working there are super nice.(Go here for the burgers– I would not recommend the fish and chips here– was not good) Super huge place and very clean as noted prior. A much better alternative for burgers than R.R.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. First, it’s Friday night… one would think any good burger joint would be hoppin. But this place was completely empty. Menu selection was pretty large. It’s a «walk-up-to-the-counter-and order» type of place. Appears to be a family business… I like to support those when possible. Family businesses typically take pride in cleanliness and this establishment was very clean. My burger(avocado swiss bacon) was so tasty and thick. And seasoned just right. Fries were standard. Check out the photos on the wall… baseball, and other all American types of memorabilia. It made it interesting. Great place to take the family or eat out with friends. Next time I will definitly have a shake with that burger Can’t wait to go back.

Nice and clean. Great selection. The burgers are great, better than Red-Line not as good as Teddy’s. They also have tons of other options. Skip the onion rings, go for the fries! Awesome crispy but not overdone fries cooked in clean oil and as much free fry sauce as you want. I have a fever… and the only prescription is some Shake & Go Fries!!! Revisit. Sorry you loose a star because your halibut and chips are awful. Tried them twice just to make sure. Bad… Good fries, decent burgers, horrible fish.

Good burger — much better than the surrounding fast food options. The other Unilocalers are also correct in mentioning that this is one of the cleanest restaurants I have seen in a long time. Shakes are a little sweet, but the burgers are really the star here. Great find! They are sadly closed Sunday but will likely become a Saturday tradition.

I agree with Bert about California Burger(what happened there?). Thankfully this Shake and Go location makes me happy in a way that overpriced Fatburger and Red Robin cannot. When the fam and I pulled up for dinner, we were the only ones there and during our eat-in, only 3 other customers came in, all singles, all to-go. Not sure if it’s because this location is right off of restaurant row in Lynnwood on 196th, but it does have that hole in the wall feel. The deco is nice, casual and clean. It was easy to read the(expansive) menu board and after placing our order, our food came out within 7 or 8 minutes piping hot. Their prices are incredibly decent. A 5 piece order of mozza sticks for 3.50? Niiiice. A Cali burger with avo, bacon, swiss came with fries for 7 bucks? Yeeesssss. I really wanted to try the butterscotch milkshake, but sacrificed it in favor of fried chees-ey goodness. The burger patty itself was a 1⁄3 lb pre formed patty, which was juicy and hot. The toppings plentiful and the bun toasted and slightly chewy, which I like. I can’t stand getting a great burger that has a crappy airy bun that does nothing but sprinkle your lap liberally with crumbs. No crumbs here! The fries were also crispy goodness. Kind of in between Red Robins steak cut and Fatburgers skinny fires. I like this place for the casual atmosphere, once we were served our food we were left alone with our food and refillable drinks, which was awesome because the husband goes thru at least 3 refills per dinner outing, so he was able to refill to his hearts delight without having to wait for a server to notice his empty drink glass. Napkins, utensils and condiments are placed out on a counter for your convenience as well. We’ll definitely be back to try more burgers, maybe even a wrap(on my part) and a milkshake… The more I think about that unconsumed butterscotch milkshake the more I feel a trip to Shake and Go in my immediate future.

I was driving out of Kinko’s jones’n for some food and on my way to the Gyro place on 196th when what to my wondering eyes did appear? I burger joint that didn’t have beer. I am no EMINEM but hey it does rhyme. My first impression was«wow this place looks clean.» I wandered up to the front counter and began to browse the 25′ of menu board looking for some direction, for some reason I was reading it like it was Hebrew starting at the right and moving left. Finally at the end(where most people would have started) was the long list of burgers. The blah blah blah burger with blah blah blah on it… almost too many to choose from. So I do what I almost always do… «what is your most popular burger?» to which the nice man behind the counter replied: «they are all good» Booo… Hiiissss! Look! I am not asking which baby at the adoption agency is the cutest for Pete’s sake… «they are all very cute don’t you think.» You are not going to hurt the California Burger’s feelings if you tell me the Pastrami Burger is very good. If asked, make a recommendation, or at least tell me your a Vegan and wouldn’t have any idea, at least THAT would be ironic and funny. I did indeed order the Pastrami burger, even though I don’t ever remember eating Pastrami before in my life and have no idea why I would want it on my burger. Other than the fact I like Ham on my burgers and in my mind maybe it would have the same effect? Sure. I also ordered a bottle of water. I took to wandering around the place looking at posters and pictures and quotations with pictures on posters. I immediately knew I would like the place since they had a John Wesley quote on the wall. «Do all the good that you can, by all the means that you can…» There was another poster of the solar system or universe or something with the small highlight of earth and some quote from some guy about how we are so stupid and short sighted. At least that was my read on it. A few short minutes later my Pastromi Hamburger arrived, piping hot. In the words of Chef Rhamsey or some other person from Britian… «that is lovely» great bun that was toasted, a seasoned patty, Pastromi, and all the«fixin’s» it was good, not great. Something missing… like flame broiling? Sadly Red Robin is better, but I might stop by for the one of the other 25 billion other options including fish and chips, wraps and soup. The people were friendly and since the place was clean, I will give it another go sometime. Oh…they have shakes. I think people stop by a lot just for the shakes. One nice thing about not being at Red Robin I didn’t have to look at a bumper car or meri-go-round horse suspended from the ceiling and that has to be worth something.

Excellent food at good prices. If you’re looking for a great burger joint near Alderwood Mall give this place a try. That’s exactly what I was doing when found them here. Burgers are very good, with a HUGE variety to choose from. I had the standard cheese which was definitely better than Red Robin, and the fiancé had a blue cheese which was AMAZING… So don’t be afraid to explore the menu. The milkshakes are also awesome. French fries very hot, so be careful. Plus fry sauce, excellent. Only concern is that when we went, we were the ONLY people in the place the whole time. So I really worry how long they will be around. Location doesn’t exactly jump out, but is easy enough to find with a little focus. Right next to «make me» Chuck-E Cheese. Parents, take your kids here for better food. If you want a good burger, don’t miss it!

Yay for yummy great priced burgers with a upscale, clean interior and family run feel. Their menu has a lot of variety. We stuck with the burgers — a mushroom and swiss for me and bacon cheeseburger for the husband. Both were packed with fresh ingredients and we loved the special sauce. The buns were perfect. Ordered onion rings instead of fries(for an extra $ 1) and was glad I did. Best onion rings we’ve had up here in the northend. Also ordered a cheeseburger kids meal, which came with plenty to split for the boys. Didn’t order a shake but looking forward to it the next time we visit. The only thing missing is our Eric’s Famous Energy Brew in the beverage coolers!

When California Burger died and left a hole in my burger eating heart, I didn’t know if i’d ever find a new place to give me hamburger hope again. Now, i’m not going to say that Shake and Go is a new California Burger, but it sure comes close. the burgers are big, juicy, and delicious, the menu is varied and all reasonably priced, and they do awesome shakes. The last time I stopped in I dared to break from my burger eating routine to try their seafood combo plate. Fried fishy and shellfishy goodness over a mound of fries… it was heavenly. My inner greaselover relished in the fried glory of it! Great portions, great prices, and a great staff of friendly folks. If you find yourself missing California Burger, head to Shake and Go!
