I chose to eat at this place given the 4 star review. But boy was I wrong. I try not to judge too much on décor on menu layout because I’m all about the food and service. My experience was disappointment after disappointment. I ordered the bun bo hue with extra«pork loaf» which I assumed to be the ham loaf. The waitress went to the back and called out the order and I could hear her and the cook bickering about what pork loaf was. It was obvious that the waitress did not know any Vietnamese, let alone much about Vietnamese cuisine. The waitress came out to clarify but I asked to speak to someone who knew Vietnamese. The cook(presumed to be the owner) came out to explain that the pork loaf is the the pork blood cake. But they had ran out because it all went bad.(So professional, telling a customer your food is going bad). I instead asked for extra ham(which is what I wanted in the first place). Food takes about 10 minutes. She brings it out on a platter with vegetables. I notice the broth is foamy and gunky because she overboiled it and didn’t bother to scoop that crap out. The broth was extremely salty. Not fish sauce salty but salt salty. It only started tasting better after I drowned it in sugar. ALSO, as I’m eating, I notice the waitress bussing tables and saving half eaten phở veggie plates. I see her dump them back into a colander to be used again. GROSS. Never coming back here! I advise anyone who is thinking about it to go elsewhere. There’s plenty of phở/Vietnamese restaurants within a 5min drive that are better.

Typical phở shop. But not your typical aisian décor however. Very nice. The phở was Good, not the best I ‘ve had but tasty enough. The help was lacking in personality, but I never expect that in a Phở shop. All the employees were sitting at a table eating what looked like better food than what I was eating. Chatting loudly and watching their dramas on the tv.

Sadly, I knew that the owner had changed by the taste of the food and service. I actually turned to Unilocal to confirm my suspicions of the owner change. Gone is the lychee water, the tender beef and tasty broth. It was all a bit flavorless. I’m so sad.

Lol just cuz the owner changed doesn’t mean the taste of the food changed too. Last week I went there and it was all the same people working in the back. Good selection and good food! Thanks pho44.

So good! We’ll be back! The broth in the phở had amazing flavor. We also split spring rolls. They were super fresh… and also delicious. My daughter had the spring appetizer that smelled great.

Not amazing but it has a great selection of food and soups you would not at many phở places, I would just go back for those specialties. The bun riu was really good, as red as it looks in the photos it isn’t that spicy but has a strong crab flavor as well as a lot meat in the soup. The spring rolls were also on point! Service was weird but that’s ok, i’d come back.

First timing coming, and NEVERCOMINGBACK. I can’t believe I wasted my money on eating here. Wish I can give a rating 0. Food was undescribably below average, flavorless, unchewable, and I wanted to throw up after eating. There are rumors about this place changing owners. Food is not like before. Other pictures are not up to current status. Can you believe that they actually FRIED my «grill» pork chop? Frying oil was dripping all over my piece of meat, and it was a house special. When I asked to get a replacement, they seemed to be lying to me about frying the meat, but after failed at convincing me, they said okay, they’d get me the grilled pork chop. And guess what? I understand Vietnamese. They were talking shit about me asking to exchange the meat. Please anyone, don’t ever come here. You’ll regret it. Craving for Viet food? There are better restaurants around.

I love the variety of house specials here. I got the bun mam, something I don’t see often at Vietnamese restaurants, so I wanted to try it. It wasn’t bad but if you are not a fan of pungent fishy smell then I wouldn’t recommend it. My friend ordered the bun rieu and loved it. Overall, a great place for authentic Vietnamese food.

After having a few disappointing phở experiences at other restaurants lately, I decided to try Phở 44 after swimming yesterday. It was so delicious and took care of the cold I’m currently battling. I’ve been eating phở at least twice per week to satisfy pregnancy cravings but will easily come here more after swimming during the week since it’s so close to the Lynnwood Pool. The chicken and vegetable phở is something I’ve never had and am now wondering how I’ve lived without it for so long! The(presumed) owner was very sweet and I look forward to bringing my family back very soon.

Downgrade the rating to 2 stars from my previous review. This place used to be my weekend ‘dining hall’ mostly because of I feel very welcome and happy when eat there. The former lady manager is the best!!. Last couple times when I went back, the atmosphere was changed. She is not around anymore. In exchange of a new face(I guess she is the owner) who gave me a cold feeling. Spoon was missing on my section, hot chilli sauce was empty … what’s going on? My all time favorite seafood soup noodle also didn’t taste as good as before, the pork blood was missing, basil leaves seems wilting, and pineapple chunk were much smaller. No wonder it is emptier than before. Hmm. time to find another Phở restaurant to go. All in all, I miss the former lady manager and wish her all the best wherever she is now as well.

Raised the bar for Vietnamese restaurants. The best tofu sandwich we ever had and wonderful veggie phở. Kid friendly, simple and yummy. We are going to be back soon to this place.

I read the reviews on Unilocal and was very excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, I had a dead fly in my phở. Instantly killed my experience. We ordered egg rolls, fresh rolls, my boyfriend got the spicy beef, I got phở with brisket. Being pregnant and craving phở then having this happen was HEARTBREAKING. To make it worse, this was this past Saturday, July 18th. It was HOT outside. They have no air conditioning. So it was already pretty uncomfortable inside already. Anyway we showed the lady working there who scooped out the fly and said she’d bring me another one. I said no 3 times. She kept saying yes. I know, it’s typical to get another but I was seriously NOT wanting any more phở from this place. I didn’t touch hardly any of it in the first place, so I just said fine, I’ll get to go. I still, didn’t plan on eating it… Anyway, I went up to pay and the phở was on the bill… So I was being charged whether I ate it or not, or got another one or not??? I didn’t say anything or complain, I paid for it. Obviously they needed the $ 8.95 more than I do. I will not be coming back. I understand things happen, but it is not my fault as a customer that they have flies in their business, and or food. My boyfriend loved his spicy beef though. I also was able to take some pictures before I saw the fly floating in my broth.

I know this is a Phở place, but I love their bubble tea, it’s one of my favorite place to go when I’m craving something cold and refreshing to drink! I’ve been going here ever since last year and I always order the Taro with boba. The boba is perfect, the consistency is not too squishy but just in the middle which is how I like it. They used to add whipped crème to the bubble tea but I guessed they stopped, since there is a new owner. The service was alright, the lady taking my order seemed a little annoyed when I said I was only ordering the bubble tea. It took around 15 – 20 min to make the three bubble tea we’ve ordered, but it was worth the wait because it tasted so good!

I. Love. This. Place. The woman who owns it is so kind and always remembers us. My husband and I started going here in June 2014 when I was pregnant and craving phở every day. I seriously ate here around 5 times a week while pregnant. A few amazing things about this place: — Lychee water. You must try it! — All of the banh mi sandwiches are delicious and super cheap — The phở is amazing — The woman who owns it noticed that I always picked butterscotch candies out of the candy bowl at the checkout and she bought some for me. — When my in laws came here to bring me food my first day home with new baby, she remembered my order and packed up a box of several days worth of phở for us to make at home! — also when my husband came here alone with the new baby and the baby wouldn’t stop crying, the owner held him so my husband could eat — aaaaaand I almost forgot but have to mention that their spring rolls are SOGOOD!

Excellent. I am so happy we finally found a go to Vietnamese restaurant up North! A good one is pretty rare up here. My love and I have been wanting to try this place ever since it was Phở 99. It is now Phở on 44th but from what I can see from past reviews and pictures it seems like the same menu. We were extremely hungover and hungry so we ordered a lot of food. I ordered the Bun Rieu(Tomato Crab Soup) and the Com Tam Dac Biet(Broken Rice Combo Special). My love ordered a regular pork Vietnamese Sandwich, Phở Dac Biet and a Rice Combo. We also got an order of egg rolls to share Everything was pretty delicious and fresh. My Bun Rieu was damn near perfect. The broth was very flavorful and rich. There was a ton of delicious pork, tofu and real crab too. I noticed that they forgot my Chinese Doughnut though. I was too busy eating to remind them. My Com Tam was really good. The rice was perfect with the shredded pork and egg cake. The pork chop that it came with was decent, I like my pork chop a little more salty and grilled, this one has a little sweet and tangy flavor. My Bf’s phở was excellent. The broth was good and there was the perfect meat to noodle ratio which I love. The meats in the phở were great. The tendon was so tender and buttery! Some of the best phở I have ever had at a restaurant. His rice combo was good too, the grilled shrimp that came with his was SOFREAKINGGOOD! The egg rolls were okay. They weren’t the best we’ve ever had but they weren’t terrible. The Pork Vietnamese sandwich was okay too, nothing can really compare to Seattle Deli but it wasn’t bad. The service was really awesome. The staff were friendly, attentive and warm. They checked in on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. The complimentary Jasmine Tea and Lychee water was a nice touch too. I can’t wait to come back and try other things on the menu. Definitely a little gem in Lynnwood!

This might be a long review, but its because I love this Phở 99. My boyfriend and I were trying a thing where we tried family owned restaurants only for a while, to support the community. We came across Phở 99 and don’t go to any other Phở place anymore(unless we have no choice). They owner is so sweet. She always thanks us for coming in and knows who we are and knows our orders by heart. We always get the #12. Decently priced, SO good, always have leftovers to take home. One of my boyfriends obsessions are their Spring rolls. They are so fresh and taste so flavorful. Along with the peanut sauce that comes on the side. I have 3 room mates that I also had go there. They go there now too and LOVE it. HIGHLY recommend. Great service. Relaxing. My brother tried the teriyaki… AMAZING. And Just last night, my boyfriend tried the Seafood Chow main. STILL, everything is amazing.

My boyfriend and I always have a battle when it comes to phở in this area. He prefers Taste of Phở just south of here, and I love love love phở on 44th. First, the lady that is usually there working when I go on evenings and weekends is the sweetest, and gets to remembering you pretty quickly. In fact, if I haven’t interacted with her, whoever I have interacted with has been quite friendly and welcoming. Taste of Phở started out with friendly faces, but now you’re lucky if they say more than a few words to you, and REALLY lucky if they smile. Really. But I digress. The phở here is tasty enough. It satiates my craving enough, but it could have a *little* bit more depth in flavor when it comes to the broth. I haven’t had anything else but phở here, but I hear decent things. I also love lychee water. That’s what originally hooked me about this place and that’s one of the reasons I still love it. So much that every time I go, I swear to myself I’m going to make my own at home(but never do). It’s great on a summer day when you’re craving phở but need that little sweet refresher. The interior leaves something to be desired but it looks like they’re trying. I’ve seen worse. All in all, it’s a solid spot in the middle a town with… a lot of spots.

Their«Banh Canh» is AMAZING! I think it’s also called king crab noodle? It’s so good! Great service! Great food! Huge chunks of real king crab meat! I’m coming back tomorrow to try more! It comes with a Chinese donut as well. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is made the correct way(which takes time) with the French Press, it’s not instant but so delicious.
