Nancy’s Bagel Box

Great service and delicious bagels. I tried the bagels and lox and it was fresh and tasty. Only took a few minutes to prepare and the price wasn’t bad at all. I’ll be stopping by here 1 – 2 times a week

Located in front of Marketplace at Theatre Square– Nancy’s is a cute little «order at the window» shop. If you like espresso– Nancy’s Bagel Box is a must for you. I work across the street and the espresso is amazing and only $ 2 for a double shot.
They offer a variety of coffee and tea, bagels and sandwiches. I honestly have never eaten here– only coffee.

Best perk of working downtown? Getting amazing bagels for breakfast/​lunch! How good? It’s 20 degrees out and I’m walking a couple blocks to grab my toasted everything with jalapeño cream cheese. Big fan of Nancy’s main location and this kiosk does not disappoint. Tasty snack/​meal at a great value.

Wanted a quick breakfast before exploring Louisville. This small walk up café definitively hit the spot; good bagels and decent coffee.

Went in just for a coffee and left with a honey wheat turkey wrap with cucumber, onions and sprouts!
I’m saving that one for later and I ate the hummus wrap– simply delicious!!! The wraps are soft and not too heavy– it’s a great healthy lunch on the go! Great location :) will definitely be back next time I am in Louisville!

Went there for a bagel and a coffee this morning. Ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a light roast coffee. After toasting, bagel was crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Cream cheese was homemade. Coffee was excellent. A very delicious breakfast all for less than 5 bucks.

Nancy’s is a really small place inside the theater square marketplace. The servers where really nice and my order came up fast. I went twice in one day! The price was good also. I will definitely return to Nancy’s bagel box in the near future.

So I just left Nancy’s & every time I go there I thoroughly enjoy EVERYTHING about the experience. The food is GREAT, the drinks are crafted beautifully & the people behind the counter are chipper & lovely. Today that was NOT the case all things were as usual, good food made promptly & such. But the individual behind the counter was less than personable. I ordered 2 food items, one of which was quite simple, the other an item that had to be prepared. There was almost no engagement from the employee & being in retail myself, I am a «please & thank you» kind of person, which I said repeatedly, to which I got responses like «uh-​huh» or «sure», rather than «you’re welcome» or «my pleasure».
At any rate, I would still HIGHLY recommend Nancy’s Bagel Box to anyone, I simply feel it necessary to point out that one employee in a rotten mood can change a persons otherwise glowing review of a place into a mediocre experience.
On a side note, I still dropped a tip into the jar on the counter, because I’m aware how difficult customer service is.

Super delicious bagels, highly recommend the everything. Only disappointment was that we were sassed a bit by the girl working the counter for ordering a bakers’ dozen. I understand its a small place but we were visiting and had no way of knowing they prefer you order a day ahead. Plus, it was Derby weekend; did they not expect a lot of business?
Overall, great bagels and very good espresso drinks.

For the past several months I have been at Nancy’s Bagel Box 3 – 4 times a week for lunch. I like fresh food, so having Nancy’s across the street from where I work is delightful.
The service is quick and the menu is so much more extensive than you might believe since the kiosk isn’t big. Nancy’s always has seasonal items. I enjoyed the caprese salad in the summer, and now I’m loving the soups that are in rotation. There are many different soups.
I usually get my veggie bagel sandwich — an everything bagel (best bagels in town) with their delicious hummus, cucumbers, sprouts, tomato, onion and pepper jack cheese. I still haven’t gotten tired of it.
There are always fresh-​baked bars, brownies and cookies as well.

Great coffee, great bagels and awesome smoothies all topped of by a polite and fun staff! The location is super convenient if you work downtown. I also loved their little table setup to sit outside and their daily trivia.

The existence of Nancy’s is a major blessing. I work nearby, and sometimes I want to grab a quick bite to eat that (1) is fast but isn’t «fast food» or junk food, (2) is something less than a full meal, and (3) costs $ 2 – 6. It helps enormously that Nancy makes a decent bagel. (Bagels are made every morning at their Frankfort Ave. location.)
It’s my understanding that there are sandwiches and plenty of drinks too, but I’ve never read that far down the menu.

As the only coffee shop by my work, I really need to go here more often.
It’s small — mostly a kiosk-​type set-​up in front of Marketplace Restaurant at Theater Square. But what comes out of their small walk-​up window are great bagels, cookies and coffee drinks.
I just ordered an iced chai, and it hit the spot.
So if you’re near Fourth Street and hungry but not for a lot or in need of some quick caffeine, check out this place.

Since Nancy’s is right behind the building I work in, it’s a handy excuse to pop out of the office for a few minutes and grab a latte … or an iced coffee … or a snack … or lunch. I keep it kind of basic, but I’ve never had a bad coffee drink here. I also love their chicken salad, whether it’s on a bagel or in a wrap. The wrap is the better deal at $ 7, but they’re not skimpy on the sandwiches either way. Finish it all off with one of their oversize cookies, particularly the chocolate one, and you’ve got a quick, filling, delicious lunch.

The location is fantastic, the bagels are tasty.
The reason I’m not giving them 4 stars is the baristas don’t seem to be properly trained. I asked for an Italian soda, which has been made for me before they even had it on the menu. It’s sparkling water, flavoring, and *maybe* some simple syrup, but that isn’t necessary. Now it is even on the menu, and the barista the other day, when I ordered an Italian soda, looked confused, I explained what it was/​how it was made, and she simply told me that they don’t carry that product (it’s a drink you make, not a single product). Since I still wanted something to drink, I just ordered something else (that was more expensive).
I plan to go back, it is convenient to my office and the bagels are good. But I’ll have to keep an eye on who is working when I go in, if they can make the simple drinks I want.

Good bagels, good prices, great location for us. The hours get a little iffy but it’s a good breakfast option.
