This place is great! Cool atmosphere with super nice staff. Their menu is full of tasty options and they don’t skimp on portions. I got their Laura Palmer which was almost too cute to drink(almost) and the chocolate chip cookie which was the best I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend!

Best chocolate chip cookies EVER. And their lemonade tea combo is amazingly refreshing.

Came here hoping to get lunch and discovered they just have bagels and cookies. Took almost 15 minutes to get my order of just a curious bagel, which was burnt… Was starving and didn’t feel like waiting a long time for them to make another one. Despite being hard to chew my bagel was tasty. Would not come back

Best little coffee shop in downtown Louisville — NuLu area. Free wifi, cookies freshly baked every day(I dare you to try one), and outstanding coffee beans. Only thing not great is the lack of seating. This place fills up with only 8 people seated. One small table outside.

Please & Thank You deserves two very big thumbs up. Was visiting Louisville for the Kentucky Derby Marathon so obviously when you plan to spend 4 hours running, good treats need to be on the agenda. Heard a rumor these were the best chocolate chip cookies in town. Not that I’ve tried other cookies in town, but it was a freaking delicious cookie. It had crisp edges but was just the right amount of under baked in the center. Chewy and perfect. Also tried the derby bar because it looked amazing. And it was. And it had bourbon in it. The atmosphere felt cozy, someplace I’d feel good hanging out with a book. Looks like they sell merchandise like t shirts and cookie mix too. Ya know, in case you wanna eat cookies all day every day. The coffee was good. It didn’t taste burnt and wasn’t overly watery for iced coffee either. We loved this place so much we stopped by for breakfast on our way out of town at the end of the weekend and I had a muffin. It was delicious. Not too sweet but moist too. Only complaint? It’s very pricy. But clearly I enjoyed every bite of food I purchased from this place so, yeah I’d come back

When visiting for Derby weekend, my friends and I happened to land and airbnb in the middle of NuLu. We were looking for proximity to the race and lucked out when we saw what a cute area we were in. Another person recomended this spot based on our location since she lives in Clifton and frequents P&TY often. Her words«good coffee, best cookies ever!» Obviously we had to stop in. We wandered down on Friday and tried various items including Derby Bars and Chocolate Chip Cookies. The Derby Bars were fantastic, but the cookies were perfection. They managed to get a gooey, soft cookie that was still crispy and«not too underdone.» Obviously we had to return on Sunday before we left town. Yes, we visited twice in three days to satisfy our cookie cravings. I will say the coffee was good and the milk options were ideal for our high maintenance soy, almond, and regular milk crew that day. Definitely check this place out if you are within 20 miles of the spot. Its worth it.

Weird that I have somehow never reviewed this place and seemingly not checked in often. Well, anyway… I love this coffee shop. They have super refreshing iced teas(unsweetened is my style) complete with fresh mint and lemon. They also have great coffee and even have bottled, ready to go cold brew if you are in a rush. The baked goods??? OHMYGOD! Try all of these things: chocolate chip cookie, rice krispie treats, cookie bars, iced sugar cookies… basically all of it! I still haven’t had a breakfast sandwich, which I will do at some point. The staff rock here too! They also always seem to be playing chill tunes!

Excellent coffee and food. Only ding is that music was occasionally a bit too loud for my taste.

The hubs and I met some friends here after lunch to continue chatting. I so wish I could remember the name of the tea we ordered(it was the first one on the list i believe) and it was SO good. The atmosphere is hip and trendy and i hear the chocolate chip cookies are to die for but we were stuffed from lunch. The service on the other hand is NOT so grand. They are snotty and rude and couldn’t even take time to answer some questions before ordering. It felt like I was with the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. But after you order it’s back to bliss. ;)

It has taken me embarrassingly long to try P&TY. But I got my first chance to visit their original location this last weekend. And I wasn’t disappointed! There was a bit of a line, but it moved fairly quickly. I ordered a chai for myself and 2 large coffees for friends, and I had to get a chocolate chip cookie… because who in Louisville hasn’t heard people RAVE about the cookies?! All in all, it rang up to about $ 11.50, which was less expensive than I thought it was going to be. The cashier kindly gave me a drink carrier to alleviate my three-drinks-two-hands quandary. My chai was alright. For my preference, it was middle of the road… better than Heine Bros, not as good as Starbucks. But my preference for local over chain would steer me back here over a SBux visit. I also wished my drink had been hotter, it seemed already so lukewarm when I started drinking it almost immediately. The cookies, I must agree, are the bomb dot com. Maybe not the BESTCOOKIEEVERINTHEWORLDINTHEHISTORYOFEVER…(maybe they are life-changing when they are warm/fresher) but soft and chewy are the way I like my cookies and these absolutely fit the bill. I was very pleased. Thank you. :-P

Came here to do some work and ended up staying about two hours. The egg slider is amazing! It was a small brioche bun with a scrambled egg and white cheddar. The watermelon in my fruit cup was frozen which made it a little hard to eat. I also had to get the best chocolate chip cookie in Louisville so I bought two and boy did they live up to the hype! The right amount of crispy and soft like a real homemade chocolate chip cookie should be.

Very cool coffee spot. Atmosphere is super relaxed-hipster vibe. They even have a record shop in the back! That’s pretty cool to appeal to chill vibes all the way around. The staff was very nice and helpful and their prices were appropriate(for both the food and records). I was tempted to get the maple leaf(I think that’s what it was called). But was advised to get the Thai iced coffee and it tasted like sh… shards of rainbow in a cup because it was AMAZING! It had a condensed milk /coffee taste and it packed a KICK!!! I can’t remember the last time coffee had me that jittery and wired but I really enjoyed it. Along with the bomb coffee I got their chocolate chip cookie which is advertised as the«best chocolate chip cookie in Louisville» and I wasn’t disappointed. Fresh cookie with a creamier chocolate that I think is home made. It melts in your mouth and appeals in a peanut butter kind of texture with chocolate chip taste. It paired well with my coffee. I’m gonna try to come back here before I leave Louisville tomorrow. Thanks for an awesome experience ‘Please & Thank You’!!

Remarkably high quality coffee and an awesome vibe. The cookies and breakfasty items are on point like the cornbread squares and quiches. Very reasonably priced and by far the best coffee shop in nulu. On the other hand I think it also the worst since it is the only one :) Lots of little details like a nice setup for cream, sugar, honey and even simple syrup. Friendly staff. Hours are a little odd but this is such a minor gripe. The house coffees are a bit overpriced for home consumption but again this is really minor. Lines are usually reasonable.

This place has been on my radar for quite a while. I’ve seen this place frequented by many Unilocalers and I’ve wanted to go for a while. I finally got my chance after a recent visit to Revelry down the street. After finally making it to Please and Thank You, I was not disappointed. I had the Mexican hot chocolate… what? Yeah, I know the stereotype of a Mexican-American walking into a coffee shop and ordering Mexican hot chocolate… I think the barista found it funny also. But I wanted some hot chocolate!!! The hot chocolate was made perfectly and was not overly sweet. The marshmallows on the top was a great touch that complimented the hot chocolate well. I also had a scone that I can“t remember everything that went in it but it had cilantro… go ahead and laugh. I didn’t think about what I was ordering until later in the day. But I wanted a scone!!! The scone was great by the way. Although it’s taken me a while to finally visit P&TY despite the fact that I work down the street… I think I’ll swing by the next time I’m in the Nulu neighborhood.

I’ve never had chocolate chip cookies that melt in my mouth as the ones here. They are gooey, empty and delicious. Their coffee is also very good and you have to try their bourbony derby bar.

Coooooookies. The best chocolate chip cookies. Ever. They’re big enough to split with someone, buuuut who would want to do that?! I can’t even fathom that idea. Have them warm one up and wash it down with some iced green tea(with mint!) … or coffee, if that’s your fancy. They even sell the cookie mix for you to make at home, but I haven’t tried it(great gift idea! *wink wink*) The chive ass biscuit is pretty bad ass as well. The savory biscuit with apricot jam and fluffy egg is my go to. Luckily, we’ve been able to snag seating immediately after ordering, but several others aren’t so lucky. The line can be quite long but it’s worth it, even for one cookie. I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s a great place to stop in when you’re in the Nulu district. It fits right in and so will you.

This place made me cool by association. Lured inside by the promise of Louisville’s best cookie, I was instantly in love. Music I’d never heard played on a record player, and in the glass shelf sat dozens of chocolate chip cookies. Seating could be hard to come by on a busier afternoon, but it was my crew of three and a rotating shift of a million types of people. All of them, though, had this effortlessly cool look about them. Maybe that’s just Louisville. Y’all are hip. Anyway, crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle, it was, in fact, an amazing cookie. While the cookie was above average(if it would’ve been warm, it would have earned a blue ribbon from me) my iced mint green tea was fantastic, and the experience was out of this world. Maybe I’m biased because I came with my long distance best friend and boyfriend so the company was fantastic, but this might be my most favorite coffee shop in the world. Go, go, go. And pick me up a cool coffee cup while you’re there, because I didn’t get one and now I am sad.

Super hip coffee spot with tons to offer! Great little coffee shop in the front with delicious pastries(their gooey chocolate chip cookies were insanely delicious!) and classic as well as fun drinks! I tried the Spanish latte on my first visit. It was a great mix of sweet condensed milk with a strong coffee. On my second visit I had a refreshing Laura Palmer which was a mix of black iced tea and lemonade with a sprig of basil or mint. If you wander into the back you’ll find more seating and a small record shop. This was a perfect find for my coffee-loving DJ-on-the-side husband. We both had some work to do while we were in Louisville for the weekend but this wasn’t the spot for it. Music was a bit too loud. Now that I think about it though, it was quieter in the back. Oops. Maybe next time!

Another Curious Bagel and Laura Palmer, please and thank you. That snacky combination is on point, my friends! This hipster(and I mean that positively) coffee spot is pretty adorable. Small but mighty, it’s a great place to grab a seat and get some work done while you sample some tasty looking pastries or sip upon a delicious coffee. I will mention that the background music was pretty loud for the space and sometimes I had a hard time hearing the folks sitting next to me. The aforementioned Laura Palmer was punchy with plenty of flavor(black tea + lemonade + mint) and sugar, natch. The Curious Bagel was the standout — a beautiful seedy bagel, toasted with cream cheese, tiny slivers of red onion, bits of peppedew, and dollops of apricot marmalade. Yum, indeed. Overall, Please and Thank You earns four enthusiastic stars from me!
