I went here searching for a cure to my munchies during the first day of GYC and man I was satisfied. The overall décor is sleek and modern and gives off a very hipster aesthetic, the burrito artists were exceptionally nice and patient towards the SDA’s that were vegetarian. Props to the guy who gave me all that corn. Love corn

Best chipotle location hands down! The workers are extremely nice and generous! They make an effort to make conversation and put a smile on your face. The location can get busy since it’s right in the Fourth Street Live area, but I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes as they’re very quick and efficient! They keep it clean and spotless!

Tried some #Guacamole as a #Snack at #Chipolte :) $ 2.07 … #GreenFood … Try it if you love #Avocado :) Small portion, though filling.

Meh. My previous review holds true, but I wanted to add that Chipotle’s grilled meat kind of sucks. Both the chicken and the steak are always tough and chewy with hard, crunchy pieces in almost every bite. I originally thought it was a one or two time fluke, but literally every time I go to Chipotle, the meat disappoints. I recommend sticking with the barbacoa, as it doesn’t have this problem. I haven’t have the pork, but the carnitas might be fine too. Qdoba is a couple doors down and is light-years better, in my opinion.

Quick, friendly service made this Chipotle an above-average experience! There seemed to be ample seating even during the lunch rush, and the tables seemed to be pretty clean.

Really loved this location. They welcomed us with open arms. One of my sorority sisters has never had Chipotle before… crazy right??? So the staff and I helped her pick her food. They knew she was a first timer and have her meal for free!

The staff that helped us were friendly, but that’s the only thing I give a star for. This was overall, my worst chipotle experience to date. Empty, overstaffed, yet filthy tables and serving area. Poor food service hygiene. Completely lacking in professionalism. Grateful I’m only in Kentucky for a few days. Back to Cali we go!

I love Chipotle! I’ve been saying for years how much better it is than Qdoba & other places like it. Unfortunately, I had to wait for a while before Chipotle showed up in Louisville. This review would have received a higher score, but this particular review is for this specific location. The downtown location was the first Chipotle in town. I’d make special trips downtown just to pick up Chipotle. Heading down there numerous times wasn’t an issue. The issue was when I go down mid-day and they’d be closed. A sign would be on the door telling customers they’re closed for the day because they’re out of something. I understand it’s downtown and there’s a lot of foot traffic, but with that reason alone, you’d think they’d prepare for that. The times I was able to order and eat at this location, the food was always fantastic! The staff seemed in a hurried rush you through the line state, which is fine, but do it with just a little politeness.

The place is empty but I had to wait for black beans and got a whopping teaspoon of salsa because they were out of that too. The chicken is dry and I’m currently eating on a paper bag because the cashier wasn’t listening when I said, «for here.» Get it together Chipotle.

Ill keep this Chipotle’s location review short, apart from my last, and more focused on the staff as the food speaks for its self. Although the food is always flawless, the staff are usually unpleasant to deal with. There’s always someone new attempting to roll my double rice filled burrito who often rips the tortilla or leaves it too loose. «good luck kid» When i’m not praying to the chipotle gods to please have anyone but a rookie roll my dinner i’m usually watching the people who were standing behind me move past because i’m forced to wait for them to ‘reup’ on white rice or steak. I will continue to return for the delicious, infamous, succulent chipotle burrito and put up with the short fused and overall obnoxious staff in hopes that the soon to launch bardstown rd location will open employed with a much more professional and skilled team.

Good ol’ Chipotle. It’s like an embassy in a foreign land or a clubhouse… which happens to have giant burritos. It’s our go-to when in need of substantial sustenance. The fun part about this location in Loo-Uh-Vull is that it is located in the middle of downtown and only a few feet from the convention center. There’s nothing like dining with a good mix of cheerleaders and cosplay folks together. Eating a burrito next to the red Power Ranger was priceless. The staff handled a line which lasted, from which they told us, from opening all the way to 2pm. Crazy. They were all very chipper and friendly. Happy to visit yet another awesome Chipotle to add to the list.

Decent taste. Fairly fresh. Actually, really fresh. I had this is beautiful Louisville, Ky, and was told it would be the best, freshest Mex I’ve ever had. Well, it wasn’t, but I don’t think that’s the restaurant’s fault. I like the beans and the thought the tortilla had good flavor and balance between salt and oil. I thought the grilled chicken was good, though a little bland. The service as this particular joint was good enough to come back for, so I’m really sitting between a 3 and a 4. .. maybe 3.4 or 3.5.

If I’m too lazy to look up a good local spot when I travel, Chipotle is one of my go-to’s. You can always count on a satisfying meal for under $ 10. I got the Barbacoa bowl, with fajita veggies and they were pretty stingey on the veggies compared to other places; especially since they charge you. Other than that, the staff was really nice and the place was clean.

Chipotle on 4th street helped create an awesome experience for my niece’s wedding rehearsal! Chipotle catering is new to Louisville and there were some complications calling the 1=800 # for catering, but the moment I spoke to Arriana(sp?) she assured me they could do the job and boy did they! I also spoke to Matt, who was awesome! Everything was so easy with the catering, just as they promised! It was packed up, ready to roll and everyone there even helped me to my car and load my car. I was also given a fountain drink while I waited for maybe 3 minutes for them to get it all assembled! I parked on the street and unfortunately received a parking ticket, which they took care of! I mean does it get any better than that? Great personalities, efficient, followed through, delivered exactly as promised. Everyone was so nice and congratulatory for the wedding event. If you want any event catered, these are your people! The set up and break down was awesome! Thank you everyone there at 4th street Chipotle, for helping our family create an awesome night of great food and fun. without any trouble! Michelle

I dig Chipotle so much, I’ve written a poem about it: Oh, Chiptole. How I’m so glad you’re now in town. I’ll glad trek to 4th Street Live in order to chow down. Although It burns my ears when I hear it pronounced«Chip-oddle,» I’m comforted by your chicken, beef, pork and toppings a lottle. I bring all my hungry friends, telling them, «I’ll show ya! This food is much, much better than Qdoba» I’m…I’m not a very good poet. Chipotle is delicious, professional, great value, fast, and tasty. Yes, I know that tasty is just another word for delicious, but we’ve already concluded that I’m not a wordsmith. Hey, if you want great writing get off Unilocal and pick up some Hemingway.

Love Chipotle but this is not the most customer friendly environment. I’m heading out with a to go order and needed to use the restroom. They would not allow me to enter until I bought something. They told me a code would appear on a receipt allowing me to enter a code to the bathroom. So I assume they want me to take my takeout order in the restroom with me??? They also had to «count» the pieces of chicken added to my burrito to make sure they didn’t give to much. Awful experience but great food!

Oh, my sweet Chipotle, how wonderful that you have followed me to Louisville after lo these many months apart. I really, really enjoy Chipotle burritos. They just taste fresh and satisfy to the core. With the addition of a hint of Tabasco Chipotle sauce, it is amazing. The location is right downtown, with all the foot traffic that goes with it, so you can be assured that it will probably be bustling around lunch time. The que setup is pretty efficient and the line staff is faster than any Qdoba that I’ve visited. Parking here is a pain and the spots around the joint are metered. It is worth it, though.

For a chain restaurant to open in a new market, this Chipotle is doing surprisingly well. I’ve been to other«pioneer market» stores(Little Rock, AR) and they usually are not as well run. Louisville got it right, both management and the employees seem like they’ve done it for awhile. Staff was friendly, and I love the location. This will be the start of hopefully several others opening all around the Louisville metro. Keep up the awesome work. I can be a regular at Chipotle again!

I’m originally from the DC/VA area and moved here because of work 3 years ago. Can I just say that, I was SO excited when I heard the news that Louisville was finally getting a Chipotle! My first thought, I don’t have to drive to Lexington to get my fix! My husband and I went the day of the opening and it was packed. I agree with the first review, that the seating was pretty tight but that’s the city for ya. Everything here is delicious, fresh and I love the fact that all the meat is naturally raised. My favorites are the burrito bowl and I always ask for a flour tortilla on the side and the soft tacos! They still need a little work but I’m sure once everyone gets the hang of things everything will fall in place. By the way I HEART the chips and guac! I can’t wait till they open another location! I can only hope it’s close to me! :-)

I was apprehensive about dining here so soon after its opening. The line around 6:30 was almost outside but for the most part it went quickly. I found they had too many people working behind the counter. It was only noticeable toward the checkout when there was a guy between the food area and the cash register who was asking questions the guy behind the register could’ve asked(and did ask) and slowed down the process. All of these kinks will be worked out in time. The seating is pretty tight. There are around 5 large tables to share with others so it’s hard to have your own privacy. The food was so-so. I’m trying to eat better so the salad was my only option. Personally, I like the naked taco salad from Qdoba better and you get more for your money; not to mention what I get at Qdoba has a lower calorie count. That being said, Chipotle’s chips and guac and burritos are delicious but those aren’t things I can eat right now. I’m not sure I’ll go back unless someone else suggests it. I’m sure it’ll do great downtown but going downtown is too much of a hassle for me, not to mention what I said earlier about diet restrictions. By the way, there is free parking after 6pm in the fourth street garage.
