I’m just sad to see all of my favorite staff leave from here recently, one by one: Rob, David, TY. The place is definitely not the same without these folks! They knew me by name and always served hot coffee with a smile and good chat, fast and pleasant.
As for this Starbucks location, it’s a nice place downtown Los Altos, but it could be so much better! It has potential never utilized. Oh, and their brewed Pike’s Place is always lukewarm after 5 pm — I’ve tried many times and eventually had to switch to another Starbucks if I ever wanted my coffee later in the day. Having said all that, still always prefer a standalone Starbucks to the one inside a grocery store. It opened as part of the new remodeled Safeway only one block away, but they have different policies for Starbucks Rewards members and their pricing is off, higher for the same items than at standalone stores.

There is absolutely no sense of pride or urgency at this Starbucks-ever…and the coffee consistently tastes burnt– more than any other Starbucks. They also used to remember our drinks, and they don’t seem to care anymore. As local residents, we will drive to any other Starbucks to avoid this one. Don’t know why, but this entire store seems to be the worst run in the area. Just tried to go back today for convenience, and was once again reminded why I’ll pay for the gas to avoid it.

Nice spot yet worst customer service! Staffs kept arguing/​gossiping, ignored couple of customers were waiting in line. I left and went straight to Peet which is close by right away.

Nice location to come to during my lunch hours. Used to have friendlier staff members! Minus 1 star for that.
Always love their Iced white chocolate mocha or hazelnut frap w/​java chips ! :)
Beware of parking though. Esp from 12pm-​2

Really nice staff. Michelle has helped me a few times. My husband and I were outside and I overheard her speaking to an older customer about her health. Kudos to Starbucks for hiring such friendly caring people.

This starbucks is a lovely place to be. The service is impeccable and the workers are kind. Although it can become a little crowded at times it is a great place to enjoy a fine tasting drink served by a smile to brighten your day.

My go to Starbucks when at work. These baristas have always been patient as I use my gold card multiple times for multiple transactions and they push out the drinks quick! At the right times, you will find plenty of parking behind the store!

WHOA! This place has been transformed, and very quickly too! Loads more indoor seating as well as new tables and chairs outside! Clean and very comfortable, you can now look forward to great fast, friendly service from Nema and her crew!
