Best Peet’s café ever with the most superior service. I’ve been to many Peet’s café’s before, but the one that has the most top notch customer service is the one here on State Street. Noah, Kelsie and Aaron are my favorite staff. Everyone is extremely professional, always super friendly, efficient with the orders, and always get our orders correct. Our staff members are happy to frequent this Peet’s café and we’ll be coming here for many more years!

This Peet’s is totally fine. Much better location than most, for the friendly staff and the outside sitting to watch people stroll by. Granted, I’m more of a Starbucks person for the bitter Peet’s taste, but that’s just a personal preference and it doesn’t take away from Peet’s being a smaller chain with its own following. Sometimes I prefer Peet’s. On one occasion past fall, I walked in to ask if they had a drink that’s similar to Starbucks, something chocolatey-creamy-tasty-rich, and they not only recommended to try Maya mocha, but crafted a delicious drink for free! It was ummm-tasty with a tangy twist, and I was so grateful for their kindness and attention. Excellent service.

They are always so friendly at this Peets. This morning was no different. Very friendly barista served me my coffee in less than two minutes. Great downtown location too.

I love reading other’s reviews… especially from the snobby trolls who hang in Los Altos: «Cycling wannabes» «Too noisy» I’ve been stopping by this Peet’s for years and it’s always fine. Coffee is good, staff is friendly and competent. No whining from me. 4 stars

Peet’s Coffees are generally the same from a look/feel perspective so this isn’t much different. What is great is the location in downtown Los Altos. The employees are friendly and the service is fairly quick, even with the annoying number of cycling wannabes.

Came here to use a gift card, but love Peet’s because they have almond milk. I got the pumpkin almond milk latte iced and I was very disappointed. Maybe just a bad day for the barista… It was not stirred, not cold, and did not taste like pumpkin. I even had my cousin verify this. Pretty bad. I’ll stick to the plain almond milk latte next time.

I’d kinda like to give this place two and a half stars, but had to choose between two and three. It’s a nice space, but always seems to be LOUD! They should really add come soft surfaces to soften the noise. If they could take the edge off by bringing the volume down, it would be a nice place.

This location is very slow and seems pretty disorganized. No one ever knows where to line up, the workers leave the counters for 5 minutes at a time, and I’ve had it take up to 15 minutes to get my drink made. I prefer other Peet’s coffees in the area that are less crowded and have more competent workers.

I’m not really a big fan of large coffee chains, but Peet’s is pretty decent. I normally stick to their tea drinks. –Chai has a good amount of spice and isn’t as sweet as most places which I appreciate. –Matcha lattes are also great and have good Matcha flavor. I order mine unsweetened. –Hibiscus tea is really good. Fruity, floral and spicy. I like both the iced version as well as the hot tea. I buy the tea bags to make at home. –The loose leaf Bergamot Earl Grey is also lovely. I make this at home pretty often. Whenever I’ve come to this location the service has been really good. The barista that made my Matcha latte the last time I went in was super friendly. He gave me a free Matcha Freddo while he was making my drink! Definitely a nice surprise! It’s a nice place They now have both soy and almond milk! Minus 1 star because they charge an extra 50 cents for soy/almond milk and they were out of almond milk by early afternoon the last time I came in.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! Despite being in a town that is not quite my favorite, this Peet’s makes it worth the trip. I go to Foothill down the street, and it is a habit to come here almost every day. All of the employees are wonderful(from working at a café before I also understand the stress and hard work that comes with the job) especially Vince! I hate to play favorites, but this man is amazing! I’ve tried different teas and lattes because of his advice and I’m so glad I listened. Not only that, but he always is just beaming with positive energy and has a wonderful personality that is impressive especially when the line is to the door. Yes people, the line may be long sometimes, but if you can’t wait a few extra minutes, then go home and make some coffee yourself! Keep doing what you’re doing Peets!

A solid Peets in its own right but the aspect currently vaulting it into the elite four star position is the astroturf padio presently arrayed outside the store. While not attributable to Peets, the city of Los Altos has greatly improved the overall caffeinating andl conversational aspect that is coffee consumption. Gone is the need for stilted rules detailing laptop and tablet permissions or archaic limits on internet access to keep those pesky hipsters from setting up shop ad infinitum to accomplish their work offsite; the addition of an artificial lawn and some brightly colored deck furniture makes it far more appealing to enjoy the sun, read the paper, or actually enjoy the company of friends /family. This is less of a review for this Peets and more an appeal to the city of Los Altos to retain this park-let. Write your City Council people.

I nearly swallowed a fly that was in my soy chai… disgusting… I called to inform the manager as I would not want this to happen to another patron… I was promptly dismissed and told that it must have been my fault.

I guess I was expecting more from Peet’s in downtown Los Altos. It’s been so long since the last time I patronized this location, and I had forgotten why. Now I remember. Unlike other Peet’s locations(and unlike other local coffee shops like Sbux around the corner), the staff seemed rather underwhelmed by the full house of clients. The cashier was less that helpful in suggesting an alternate drink after informing me that they ran out of Matcha for their Matcha Green Tea Latte. The barista delivered our coffees to some other counter on the other side of the store rather than to the«pick-up» counter where we were patiently waiting. The bathroom didn’t strike me as clean and was out of soap in the dispenser on the wall. The temporary soap bottle on the sink had run out and was filled with water(as if that’s helpful). It just seems to me that the folks working here could do a bit more to show their clientele that they appreciate their patronage.

Excellent place to study… lots of tables, and the employees didn’t seem to mind us staying for three hours. The internet codes are valid for an hour, but you can either buy more items to get more codes or try to find a friendly employee to give you an extra. There are a few tables out front where you can sit with your dog too.

One of my fave people watching/eaves dropping places. There’s always some local with a business idea meeting with some type of consultant or entrepreneur wanna be. Yes, the lines are long and it can get crowded, but you can feel like a Valley insider without having to traipse to Woodside.

The staff at this location is great. They are always really nice and really polite. I usually order some hot jasmine tea. I add a little honey from their condiment bar and the day becomes a little bit better. I like that Pete’s always has honey for their patrons as well as liquid sugar and regular sugar. Pete’s tea selection is superior to Starbucks but their Chai Latte’s are a bit weak. The best thing about this location is their recent renovations. I think the store looks better, the space is bigger and there are more places to sit now. The only negative is that they allow dogs in the store and if you are allergic to dogs, this can cause a bit of asthmatic issues.

Came by this Peet’s on a couple occasions as my friend works right around the corner. I’m a big fan of Peet’s as their coffee has more flavor, and isn’t bitter, like the *other coffee joint.* On both occasions, the coffee was great but the service was mediocre, borderline rude. We had a coupon for Buy 1 Get 1 Free that specifically stated that we can show the employee on our mobile device… Michael, the cashier was reluctant at first, until the barrista said it was okay… perhaps she was an asst mgr, or equivalent…

Coffee/mocha = good Service = can’t complain Dogs = yes Your standard Peets… mochas are always tasty. Florentine cookies yummy. People who work here are not overtly friendly but I used to work in Los Altos and I can understand and empathize… got your usual mix of attitudes to deal with. Always a dog or two out front with their loud-talking owner and their bratty kids. Today it was an obnoxious dad barking our orders to the youngish nanny with his bratty kids. Gads – I don’t miss working in Altos.
