I am always on the lookout for a good coffee shop and when I found out about this place and saw that it was right by my house, I decided to check it out especially since it has received rave reviews. It has a really nice contemporary interior which is a nice change from all of the hippy interiors that I have been accustomed to at most coffee shops. There’s plenty of room to sit and work and they have a great selection of coffee. Their food is nothing exciting but better than most coffee shops and provide a nice accompaniment to the meal. I will definitely be back here a lot considering how close this place is to my house!

Awesome coffee — Red Berry uses coffee from great roasters that they rotate frequently. Great vibe, great coffee, and a very affordable price. You’d think they prices would be higher than Starbucks but they this is great coffee at great value.

Say hello to my new favorite study coffee shop! The coffee here is delicious, lovingly brewed by friendly baristas, and intentionally not overly-sweetened so you can actually taste the coffee(there is simple syrup available for those who like their drinks sweet). They also have a collection of delicious pastries, quiche(though 2 out of 3 times they only have the pancetta option and are out of the veggie option), and more importantly, Belgian waffles! For those wanting to get their(freshly made) waffle fix on though, you’ll need to get here before 2pm(as I found out the hard way the first time I waltzed in at 3pm). Free wifi of course, and minimal seating downstairs with more seating upstairs. Wish there were more outlets, but that’s a small quibble.

Best cappuccinos in Los Altos. Red Berry is a really happening place these days. They have a great selection of drinks and treats to choose from. Come in for your hot beverage, and enjoy the company of other coffee and tea lovers. It also has a nice view overlooking main street.

Nice and modern coffee shop in the middle of a quiet and slow Los Altos downtown. I told the worker that I’m new and she took the time to explain the differences of their coffees and which beans she recommended. I chose the Latte from PT’s Coffee Roasting. After 3 minutes, the barista made sure my order belonged to me. It tasted just like another latte, but it was a nice clean place to hang out. There was also a second floor where it looked like many people were studying. Free Wifi cards can be picked up where you pick up your drink.

This is a place I needed in Los Altos — so glad it’s here. I loved the tea, my friend enjoyed his cappuccino, and we both shared a good pastry. A few things: * WiFi: reliable and quick — there are cards with the password by where you pick up your order. * Seating: there’s an upstairs area with additional seating which is quite comfortable and stays nice and warm during cold days. * Price: a bit pricey. We had one tea, one cappuccino, and one pastry. This came out to $ 14 including tip. Overall, it’s absolutely a great place to visit and I’m very glad to have it in the neighborhood.

I come here for coffee, not for bakery desert or other stuff. Because they have really good coffee here. Probably the best in downtown. I usually take the outside seats to enjoy people watching with my cuppucinno, and inside is pretty cozy too. But nothing really special about the environment. The coffee is the selling point. Love it.

Pretty great weekend breakfast spot for waffles and good coffee/tea. Only go if you have a few minutes to wait for the waffles to be ready but believe me, it’s worth it.

Three different Espresso types with a different blend of that Espresso to choose from. It gets a little confusing if it’s your first time… plus, if you’re already the confused type, uh… Good luck! Actually, the guys behind the register are pretty good with walking you through the menu and helping you decide what they think you’d like based on the roast and flavor cues(like nutty, bold, rich). So that’s a plus. Coffee snobs gotta know this lingo I’m sure. However, Noobs, whose usual coffee order likely consist of frappes and iced mochas, this is probably a good time to take some mental notes. The coffee here is good, just not so basic. And I’m basic — I don’t get too super excited on complicated, million to choose from drinks(in this case blends) which is probably why I’m teetering between a 3 – 4 star review. It’s good coffee, don’t get me wrong, and it’s definitely somewhere I’d visit waaaaaay before a Starbucks, but it’s probably not somewhere I’d go before a Peet’s. Ya dig?

Not giving the five stars too lightly. I’ve been going pretty regularly now that I’ve found a place with bahkti chai. The coffee selection is also great but the better brews are pour over so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The quiche is good but haven’t tried baked goods. Parking is tough but there are public lots behind the Wells Fargo. Honesty one of the best coffee shops in South Bay that I’ve found so far.

This ain’t no sugary dessert coffee place. Even the hot cocoa that I’m drinking isn’t sweet. And it’s quiet with soft, soulful music playing. So it’s a direct opposite of Starbucks. I mean, even their desserts aren’t sweet! They are serious about their coffee. How serious you ask? Well, there’s a sign on the door that says to keep the door closed, that the temperature a affects their coffee. Ha, would never see that at sbux. Yeah, it’s as good as they say. I’m having a hot cocoa today. More of a high end coffee place but I’m feeling the need for chocolate…

My favorite coffee bar in Los Altos. Great designer coffee and usually have my favorite stump town available! Cookies and pastries are also definitely a cut above run of the mill chain stores.

Sadly, can’t recommend this place anymore. Yes, they carry espresso from a variety of well known coffee roasters, but lately everything comes out super bitter or sour. I’ve left my last two on the table.(Coffee isn’t supposed to taste that way, no matter what we’re being led to believe by so many trendy NorCal coffee bars. :P) The pastries and waffles are really good – their waffle is my favorite – but since the coffee rarely comes out before the food gets cold, they’re almost a wasted effort. Maybe it’s worth switching to French press.

Stopped by Red Berry Coffee Bar on my way home from San Francisco. Nicely located in downtown Los Altos in a quaint and clean shop. Plenty of seating to lounge while you eat and drink. They use great beans and provided me with some of the best and strongest cold brew I’ve had in awhile. The blueberry muffin I got on the side was also quite good. Very impressed. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely be back.

This really is coffee at its finest. This is not your local coffee shop, this is a crafted coffee shop. Their bean rotates regularly, to bring the best coffee beans for their customers. I’ve saw Ritual, Four Barrel, intelligentsia, etc. If you are not sure what you want, just ask. They have coffee brewed in many different ways. They also offer pastries, quiches and Belgian waffles. It’s a great place for breakfast, brunch, or have a relaxing afternoon. Always ask about your coffee, their staffs are very knowledgeable!

Red Berry has become a staple in my morning routine, great pastry choices,(the croissant is so good!) the espressos are incredible, and a very friendly staff! I love the variety of roasters you can choose from. My ONLY complaint: the music upstairs is a bit too loud! People are forced to have to talk louder over the music, which makes it a little difficult to study or talk to people. Other than that, Red Berry is fantastic and I regret not coming in sooner!

Red Berry, an obvious reference to the natural color of the coffee bean before it is dried and roasted. This coffee bar is perfect for fans of the blessed berry/bean! Because if you’re a fan, like myself, you’re ecstatic to find a choice of options from from high-quality roasters from across the country for any coffee drink you chose. You can enjoy drip($ 2.50), pour over($ 3.75), or an espresso drink($ 4 lattes). Today they offered thee West Coast roasters: Handlebar, Stumptown and Temple. Since I had already sampled the other two, I had my iced latte made from Handlebar beans. The Santa Barbara-based beans did not disappoint! I thought it was oh so flavorful, creamy smooth and delicious. The coffee bar is a nice quiet space with what seems to be ample seating — a few sidewalk tables, three tables inside along with maybe 10 barstools. The oldies station isn’t too loud, so you can enjoy or ignore as you please. This place is cool. Maybe we can entice them to join the downtown coffee derby that’s brewing in the FiDi up in SF. No pun intended. OK, maybe it was intended… You want something punnier? Red Berry, where have you bean all my life? Sorry, I had to…

I am definitely not a coffee drinker. It upsets my stomach, and is just not worth it. But that all changed when I discovered this coffee shop in downtown Los Altos. It was a hot morning, and I was lethargic from the night before and needed a pick-me-up. I decided to get an iced coffee. Sure, it’ll upset my stomach, but I’ll deal with it this time. One sip of this delicious beverage and I was hooked. The quality of the coffee along with the perfect balance of milk and sugar not only woke me up, but my stomach did a happy dance, because it was fine for the rest of the day. I try not to come here often because it can really add up, but I definitely treat myself!

There’s a open atmosphere with lots of natural lighting which makes this café a great place to sit and do work. The tables are also spaced far apart enough to not give off a cramped stressed vibe that many study-coffee places have. My latte here was made well. The microfoam was creamy despite using low fat milk. Personally I think the number of choices between different bean roasters is a bit overkill, but let the people have their options right? The chocolate croissant was fragrant and buttery. If anything it would be a nice touch if the plates were warmed prior to serving. The prices are what you would expect for a place like this, but it’s worth it to come and spend a relaxing time over a nice cup of coffee!

Came in after my morning class at foothill. As usual I was starving(7:30am class and commuting from the east bay) since I didn’t have time to eat breakfast. I was looking for something other than Starbucks to grab something. Looked this up and voila! Pretty easy to navigate from foothill. I parked further down and walked to his place. This is a cute little shop with two levels. Feels kinda hipster(lol but not like those annoying hipster places) I guess they have a bunch of their own coffee which is awesome. I decided to order an iced mocha and a quiche. Came out to $ 12 bucks which is pricey for coffee and a quiche. Though the quiche came with fruit. Mmmmm. The food was quite good. The coffee… Not so much. It was a bit too bitter for me. Maybe I’m just taste bud blinded by Starbucks and my local coffee shop version of it. All of those are a bit sweeter. I’m not sure if mocha is supposed to be that sweet or this bitter. But I didn’t really enjoy it. Maybe I’ll try something else next time. Another customer received his drink and the server forgot to add something so he took it back to add whatever it was. Thought that was a nice gesture. Customer service is quite good here. Good vibes and very chill here. Definitely a nice place to relax, catch up and get some work done. Rating: 3.5 stars(docked off points for the coffee and the table I sat at not being clean)
