I was greeted by the chef, best service, and even better food! I will be bringing my friends and family here :)

Loved the meal tonight! Had the Pineapple Grill kebabs with grilled vegetables and my better half had one of the flatbreads with asparagus. Food and drink portions were sizeable, the wait staff were attentive, prices were great and the outdoor dining feels like a Tuscan villa.

I have only been here for lunch as I work in the building next door. If you have never been here before you should know that the restaurant is towards the back. You’ll see a flooring place on your right and The Boardwalk on the right. Pineapple Grill is right in front of you. Just keep driving. There is outdoor seating with lots of tables and umbrellas to keep you cool if it’s hot. Haven’t eaten out here yet, but I’m sure it’s pleasant enough because I usually see more people sitting outside than inside. There is a full bar inside and plenty of seating. The staff is friendly, I usually get a smile when I come in. Clean clean clean, everything is clean. The food… My kids order the spaghetti with butter $ 5. It’s easy and simple and so of course my little ones love it. It’s a pretty big serving so I have them share. Koobideh Kabob — $ 8. Very tasty. Though I am allergic to pineapple and I have asked them twice to NOT put pineapple on my plate or in my to-go box, but there it is… Anything the pineapple touches I have to toss. It’s an edible garnish, but seriously guys… I’m allergic. DONOTPUTITONMYPLATE! This plate comes with two kabobs, rice, a flat bread of some sort, grilled veggies, and a dipping sauce(super tasty with the meat!) Other than the pineapple it’s delicious. There are other dishes here that I would love to try out. I will update my review as I try each dish. I definitely recommend this place for people to try, and yes I will be coming back.

We had a party of 12. I enjoyed the Lahore combo plate: comes with 7 pieces of perfectly bbq’d boneless chicken pieces, perfectly spiced. A nice selection of grilled veggies and some tastey basmati rice. And a dollop of shirazi salad. I washed it down with a nice glass of pineapple juice. Kabobs done right ! They also have Persian Tea. For large parties, they will include an 18% gratuity check on your bill. Customer service: slow and friendly Bathrooms: clean Parking: ok

I thought this place was OK. It was bad and it wasn’t great… The good news is that the drink menu is quite nice! One very important item. Attached to the restaurant is some kind of dance hall or big room. There was live singing and dancing with the door wide open the entire time we were on the patio. It made it difficult to mingle with our friends. All the items we ordered between the 4 of us were pretty good. No major complaints about the taste. However, nothing is more amateur than asking your guests how they want their burgers cooked… When the burger is frozen and likely freezer«cooked»… While it tasted just fine, my medium burger never had a chance. Good news is it was huge and the fries were awesome. I don’t know if I’d ever choose tong back again. But it’s not a bad place to try.

My husband and I moved from the East Bay to the South Bay a year and a half ago, and since our move, have been on the look out for a go to restaurant, like the one we left in Walnut Creek. Silk Road in Walnut Creek was our go-to restaurant for lunch and dinner — fantastic pizza, delicious kebabs, moderately priced wines, beautiful and comfortable patio AND dog friendly. I was hoping I had found it in Pineapple Grill, but… I found Pineapple Grill on Unilocal, and invited friends to try it out with us. They are new parents, with a 17 week infant, and they were excited to finally eat out with him. The evening started out great. We had our pick of tales at 7PM, and there was live music playing in a banquet room next to the patio. We ordered drinks(beers, wine, and cocktails) and shared delicious appetizers(Caprese salad and hummus). *One recommendation on the Hummus, would be to lightly heat the pita — the way it’s served today, it tastes like a store bought pita, cut into triangles. Entres were good. I had the Farmer’s Flatbread. The veggies were fresh, and the dough crispy. It was more of a thin crust pizza than flat bread(nothing like the picture on their website), which was fine with me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Speaking of the website, they aren’t currently serving pasta(although their website clearly displays their pasta menu). The service was, at first, fantastic, by the way. They were very attentive, and helpful with the baby, and our first few orders. Halfway through out meal, however, a huge group arrived. They were well dressed, and well mannered. I was happy this nice restaurant was going to have a busy night. I was happy, until… I smelled cigarette smoke. We all looked around to see where it was coming from. One of the«well dressed» guests was blatantly smoking on the enclosed patio of the restaurant, less than 10 feet from our table(and a 17 day old infant). WTF. The wait staff were present, and did nothing to stop them from violating California law. Thankfully, we were ready to sign our check, and leave before the baby had to breath anymore second hand smoke. I’m disappointed in Pineapple Grill. I had such high hopes for the place. The food was good, and the patio was a true hidden gem in an otherwise busy area of Los Altos. At this point, however, I’m humiliated that the restaurant I convinced my best friends to take their infant to, was also the first place he experienced second hand smoke for the first time. Needless to say, we won’t be back.

This restaurant has the Jekyll/Hyde Syndrome for sure! The first time we went to this restaurant was GREAT! Amazing service, good food, nice atmosphere. The second time, not so much. Like REALLY not so much. I rate this restaurant 2.5 stars. It’s really a 50⁄50 situation which would cause the rating to be a solid 3 but because 2 native Iranians/Persians hate coming here, I need to drop the rating a bit further. Especially when their food is served with a side of attitude. They must have had a really off day because they dropped the ball on everything the second time. We walked in with a large group(including 2 who are Persian) for lunch because we all work right down the street and they were willing to accomodate our large group which was nice of them. We all sat down and someone who had to leave early, requested that he order first so he can get his food, have time to eat and then be on time to a very important call with a client. He placed his order and we were served our drinks and ordered 3 plates of Hummus for the table. They didn’t bring us bread until about 20 minutes in after I had requested they bring us baskets of bread. Because we were sitting at a long table, I requested 2 baskets so we would have 1 at each table and we could all get some at the same time. It was like the first time they have ever served a large group because they brought us one basket for our whole table. When I asked the owner he said, «Finish the basket and I’ll bring you more.» Ok that’s fine, but that’s not the point. We all had to wait while one person got their bread. Super annoying. They did the same thing with the Hummus. I ordered THREE plates so we could all share and have one at the end, one in the middle and one at the other end. We were super hungry so we all wanted some at the same time. They put 3 scoops on the same plate and limited pita. NOT enough for 9 people. Again, we all had to pass it down and had to wait for each person to take some instead of having 3 plates so all of us could dig in. The waitress wasn’t very good as well. She was very inexperienced and had lots of attitude. When we asked her questions or asked where our food was, she had no idea what we were talking about. It was very difficult to communicate with her. Our food arrived late and they kept mixing everything up. Remember the guy who ordered his food because he needed to leave? HIs food never arrived early and we had to keep asking the staff where his food was. It turns out they never put his order in so he had to wait for his food. Mean while, he missed his meeting. I actually like their food. I always get the grilled chicken or grilled shrimp kebab with grilled veggies. The other people thought the food was just ok. We kept having to ask for sides that were missing. The icing on the cake(LITERALLY) was when the owner offered to give us free dessert for all the trouble. He said it was their«World Famous Chocolate Cake.» I asked him if they made it in house and he said yes. That is the BIGGEST lie I have ever heard!!! I am a baker. I make cakes. I KNOW cakes and his were store bought from Costco! It’s so obvious when the cakes are still on the cardboard sliders that they came with. Another dead give away is that they are outrageously large. Costco size basically. Not only that but they put the cakes on plates that were too small for the cakes. Any real baker would transfer the cake to an appropriately sized plate. I was SO insulted. It was even MORE obvious when the items they DO make in house were NOT on cardboard sliders with saran wrap over them. Now THOSE are made in house. That was the last straw for me. The last straw for our head of sales was when they accused her of not paying. They gave us the check and the attitude girl came back and took it away so we thought we had paid so we all got up to leave. The head server came up to us and said so rudely in front of everyone, «HEY! You didn’t pay!!!» My co-worker was stunned. She said, «I’m sorry. She took it away so I thought I had paid.» With the lack of customer service we received, we shouldn’t have paid. Their crappy Costco desserts were not enough. Unfortunately, we can never go back because now everyone refuses to go. We never know if we are going to get Jekyll or Hyde OR if our food is going to be served with a side of attitude.

My parents were in town so I wanted to find a new place to try for dinner. This place seems pretty tucked away, but it’s off of El Camino right next to a popular sports bar. Glad I found this through Unilocal, because they have been open since this summer, but I never had a clue! We ordered: Farmers Market Salad Flatbread Pineapple Honey Glazed Chicken Kabob and a chicken sandwich with someone’s name that I can’t remember(sorry!) plus sweet potato fries While my order was the chicken kabob, I tried all three and loved them all! The ingredients on the flatbread were so fresh. I almost couldn’t stop eating it, so good thing my mom doesn’t have as big of an appetite as me. And my dad’s sandwich was really good. Our chicken was similar and well marinated. It was also tender and not overcooked. The pineapple glaze was delicious. We all agreed that this place was very good and we didn’t have a single complaint. The service was wonderful! The person who helped us was a guy with a big mustache and funny personality. I’m terrible at remembering, or even getting, names. Oh! And they do give you delicious free bread to start with. Can’t wait to come back for lunch next time!

Way back in the day this place was called Sand Dabs. I think it might have been a number of things since then but in the last few years it’s been empty. Glad someone took it over. With some Iranian influences, it’s good to have a variation on the Middle Eastern themes that are not Turkish which is plenty here. Came for dinner with a friend and split: –Koobideh –Lamb Chops –Feta/Haloumi Cheese Flat Bread Fairly good flavors though the chops were a bit over temperature and the Cheese flat bread was under. Service was friendly and I think with some time they can get their stuff ironed out. It’s just good to see that the space is in use with some quality grub for the area.

Great atmosphere and outstanding wait staff service! My wife and I enjoyed a great Paleo dinner for our Saturday date night. She had pineapple grilled salad and saffron chicken skewers. I had a delicious caprese salad with the pineapple grill kabob. It is a definite do over!
