I have been frequenting this joint when I get a craving of sushi. Parking is ample but you have to walk quite a bit so wear good shoes. It seems like there’s so many people parked at this Town center that it’s a hit or miss. The food however, is a five star at Yasai. Here’s why: for $ 8.50 you get two salads green and coleslaw style. the dressing is delicious with green onions, almonds, sesame seeds. on the sweet side though so if your not feeling sweetie at that moment have them put your dressing on a separate container. My tempura always comes out perfectly cooked. the kabob on top of my well grilled salmon is amazing. Rice is fresh. California roll has freshly cut cucumber and avocados, and to have all this for under $ 10 is a bargain. I highly recommend this sushi place if you’re feeling casual to satisfy the craving!

I though the food and price here was great since it was a mall food court. I was searching for a healthy fast food option while my iphone was being repaired. The rainbow roll was fresh and the cabbage salad was tasty, not over dressed. Rolls are served with miso and a salad, not bad for $ 7.99.

Not bad for a Japanese fast food at a food court! Decent food, cheap prices, fast and friendly service with open seating. Great place for kids to be loud and make a mess too haha. I had the tempura udon noodle that comes with the California roll as a combo. The udon soup flavor was very good, a savory broth. The noodles were cooked al dente and the tempura was crispy and hot(for the part that wasn’t soaked in soup)! It’s too bad they dumped the shrimp tempura into the soup already. Maybe next time I’ll tell them to place them separately. California roll tasted fresh with just-ripe, creamy avocado. I was actually quite surprised for decent Japanese food at a food court. Just like most food courts, all he containers and utensils are disposable. It was kinda weird to eat out of a styofoam bowl but whatever. The lady who took my order was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. The dining area was kept quite clean and there was plenty of seating.

The worst tempura I’ve ever eaten. Still burping 5 hours later. Hope I don’t get sick from it. I will not eat here again.

Came here after a friend suggested it. Pretty good rolls and basic sushi. Really can’t beat it for the price, and as long as you come with realistic expectations, they will probably be exceeded. Glad I took his advice.

Best Asian grilled chicken salad I’ve had anywhere. Portion is appropriately priced, presented perfectly and most importantly it tastes extremely tasty.

The Chinese Chicken Breast Salad is amazing! Their sesame dressing is out of this world! Everything in the salad makes it explode in your mouth when you eat it!!! I’m usually a rib-eye or lobster girl but when I want a salad, no one has compared with this one. I didn’t give it 5 stars because I want it in a larger bowl with a little bit more. I’m never full off of one bowl. Lol

This Yasai Japanese Grill is located in the Food Court so I did not expect a lot coming in. I find that this is very convenient place to eat prior to or after watching a movie at the nearby Edwards. They have alright salads and teriyaki for the price you pay. The rolls were okay, as well– not disgusting like you would expect from a food court.

If you are craving for Sushi, Tempura and Teriyaki but you only have $ 10 in your pocket then go to this place. I visit this branch at least 2 – 3 times a month when I’m near the area in Longbeach Town Center. It’s located inside the foodcourt and the other branch in Cerritos Town Center as well. I usually get Chicken Katsu, Beef or Chicken teriyaki combo which includes California roll, sumi salad, rice and vegetable tempura for a price of less than $ 10. I have tried other Sushis like the Eel roll, Unagi Dragon Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll which are all good and tasty for a very affordable price. They have plenty of choices in the menu.

Yasai is a great place to get good, inexpensive Japanese food in a casual setting. You can get take out orders, too. I usually get the salmon teriyaki bowl, which fills my tummy enough that I still have left-over food the next day.

Called in an order and there was a line when we got there. The service is very inefficient, we were the 4−5th person in line and it took a good half hour to get our food. On top of that, the order was incorrect, he was able to offer a refund but I am never returning to this location again.

Do not come to this yasai location. Don’t get me wrong I love yasai(I eat quite regularly at the Cerritos location). However, this yasai service is absolutely horrendous – and I’m used to eating at Chinese restaurants in the sgv for reference about my standards for service. I called to place my order ahead of time, and I still had to wait for an hour. I usually don’t mind waiting in line, but the line consisted of 5 people. It should not take one full hour to take the order of 5 people. There were only two workers, but the older man just stood there while the younger one took, organized, and called out orders. On top of that, when I picked up my order, it was wrong. It wasn’t just unique to my order – other people went up to the counter with their order being wrong as well. When I brought it up with the younger man(since the older one was obviously still just standing there), he said he didn’t hear me. I ended up returning the order and going to the Cerritos location. I could’ve just driven to Cerritos and eaten in the time it took waiting in line just to pay! Never coming back to this location again.

Come here all the time for lunch. Great food. Not bad price. My favorite is the half and half chicken beef plate. The salad and greens are fresh. Love this place.

I’m not sure if the 1 star would justify its menu. I ordered a spider roll expecting a soft shell crab, well there was the claws but i don’t know what happened to the body. It was more like a california roll! No wasabi, a little pickle and a ton of shredded/julienned cabbage they prefer to call salad. The taste?- ½ star! I asked for a glass with ice for my cola, the server gave me a glass FULL of ice. Like, duh, i want to taste my cola Not drink melted water. Will never order or eat here again.

I called in an order for pickup and it’s situated inside the food court in the Long Beach Town Center by the theater. I ordered the salmon teriyaki bowl w/brown rice. They give LOTS of rice, I only ate half and put the rest in the fridge for later. The wait was very short, like 5 minutes. The salmon was really thin, but really good. Good prices, everything was reasonably priced. Almost everything is under $ 10. The website didn’t work for me, so I just looked at the menu for the Seal Beach location, , they have plates, bowls, different udon soups, different rolls, sushi, miso soup(mmm), combo specials, nice variety without being too much and ridiculous. I’m going to have to try one of the plates next.

The food was good and very reasonably priced m. The bad side was the sushi wasn’t put together too well and every piece fell apart. I will return for the value and taste. The customer service was average at best.

For a fast food place I give it five stars because the food is almost restaurant quality and the #20 combo that I always get has so much food. First of all the LB Town Center Food Court has free Wi-Fi, lots of seats, and a couch with a TV; ESPN is always on. Now for that number twenty combo I mentioned — It comes with Tempura, four California Rolls, two kinds of salad, a vegetable kabob, teriyaki beef, and a medium size separate container of white fluffy rice. All that for under ten bucks. I can never finish it. They don’t bring you the food if you find in. They do charge for drink refills. I highly recommend!
