Awesome spot, great sushi. Got it to go, very simple roll to make. They had it out in no time. Everything was fresh, tasted great. I will be returning in the future. Thanks guys.

This is my new go to spot for sushi in Cerritos being that it is close to work and cheap. I believe it is 50% of rolls before 3pm. The quality and taste is pretty good, the staff is very friendly. They do tend to take a little longer than usual. Overall, this is a really good spot for some cheap good sushi. They offer ayce as well.

What a great experience! We did«all you can eat» and the food was great! Not too much rice and it was very fresh! We were a party of 12 and everyone love the food. The service was pretty good too. It was fast and it was friendly! We are coming back for sure! Thank you!

Service was good but the sushi wasn’t worth it. I came during the all you can eat sushi time. It’s very pricey for an all you can eat sushi like $ 40 per person. I came with a group of friends and I was upset to see that we are only limit to 3 orders of eel. So all you can eat my ass. All I had was the 3 orders of eel and dragon roll. While my boyfriend had a few selections of sashimi and the burnout sushi roll. We wasted a little over $ 80. Never going there again even if it’s for a special occasion.

Meh. Basically sums up the experience that we had here. We arrived around 3:45pm on a Friday. There was 2 other couples dining in. There was a banner outside that read 30% off Mon-Fri from 3−5pm. We go in and see that the«happy hour» is pretty much regular prices. So we decide to have the all you can eat for $ 25.50(if I’m not mistaken that’s the price of $ 25; something along those lines) Our server was okay, I asked for a larger menu so I could look at more visuals on the rolls, but he seriously argued with me and said«oh, no. You don’t need that one cause that’s not the right menu for you» Just give me the menu, dude… But he didn’t. –__– Everything was so bland. Didn’t taste fresh. We probably had about 10 different rolls & only the Harley Davidson was the one I enjoyed the most. They didn’t offer you dessert at the end either… lol Overall, nothing was special about this place. «Blah» was what the experience was. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Very limited on sushi selection. Mediocre.. Definitely. No lobster on the menu. Most every thing is crab. The all you can eat sushi are half rolls which is alright. Just a heads up would be nice. 19.99 until 3pm. Then it jumps to 25.99. With a limited selection it is not worth the price. Very disappointing. And I get to leave with a grumpy husband.

I really wish there were separate sections for service and food. Our service was amazing, our waiter was on point like no other. 5 stars there for sure. Now the food, if I could sum it up in one word, MEDIOCRE. The nigiri had oh so much rice. Like more than 1:1 rice: fish. You know it’s not worth eating ayce when rolls have less rice than nigiri. Quality of fish was alright though, no weird odors or tastes, but not the smoothest fish I’ve had either. I will admit that the fried foods were nice, hot and crispy, but I didn’t really plan on going to a sushi place for fried foods. 1 Star for sushi, 3 stars for fried foods. So if you are looking for AYCE, go spend your hard earned money elsewhere. If you are looking for a cheap fix for your sushi, pirahna isn’t too bad, especially with the 50% off discount they run.

This is the closest sushi joint to where I live right now, and I have been meaning to try it out. We had a little of everything: udon soup, sushi, and tempura. Maybe I am spoiled to really nice sushi when I travel in Seattle, but the sushi was very normal to me. I know this place has AYCE, but the food tasted like AYCE quality. AYCE is always known well for quantity, but sometimes lacks in its quality. I feel the sushi was missing some of uniqueness and freshness.

Amazing service and food. Our waiter, Tyrone is the best! Made sure we understood the menu and answered all of our questions. Great prices and amazing deals. Can’t beat that! I just wish we had tried this place sooner. It’s soooo close to my house and the ambiance in this place is the Sh**!!! Love it can’t wait to go back. I already got my parents hooked on Piranha Sushi!!!

The Lemon Drop and Cajun Rolls are sooo delicious! My kids had Spumoni and Chocolate Mint Ice Cream. They loved it, but they loved their rolls, too. I would come back to my neighborhood sushi restaurant again. The waiter gave an excellent service!

I have always wanted to eat at Piranha Sushi and last night we made it happen. The 5 of us did not wait for a table to open since 7pm on a Sunday night was clearly ours for the taking. Service: Great! Our server is friendly and always checked on us. She is super nice! Environment: Simple. There is a large TV with sports programs. There is a sushi bar. There are booths and tables. The restroom is clean. Food: Delicious and fish to rice ratio is more than fair. They served our sushi on a wooden boat. The octopus and seaweed salad was a good start off. The salmon egg sushi was delicious! Their rolls are also a must try. The Unagi is not unlimited. It is limited to 3 orders per customer. Price: fair for an AYCE. Next time I will try their Uni. Way to go Piranha! Thank you for an awesome dinner.

Wanna Piranha with me? Living within walking distance, my eyes spied the banners proclaiming 50% &30% off. Not having visited Piranha Sushi before & not one to pass up a 50% off deal, I finally trekked inside for some hot lunchtime sushi action. 50% off is valid on regular priced lunch items, with purchase of a drink. Unfortunately, AYCE is not included. Giving the menu a quick glance over, I chose my meal du jour. Calamari tempura Well, well! Fully expecting calamari rings, as is the norm, I was delighted to find calamari fries! I didn’t know whether to pretend to hold them like cigarettes or play with them like Charlie Chaplin ;p Perfectly battered cuts of calamari were delicious, piping hot from the fryer. Whatever tempura sauce was left, I drank up like a shot of alcohol. Very good! Sumo roll California roll topped with seared tuna, avocado & ponzu sauce. I could taste the scorch on each seared piece of tuna. The ponzu added the brightness that enhanced the already tasty tuna. The Sumo roll was well made, not falling apart like a pair of pants bought at Wal-Mart. Delicious! Piranha’s sushi rolls are variations on the California roll, some with interesting names like Lakers roll, Harley Davidson roll, Slow your roll & Heart Attack roll. Nigiri, salad & appetizers round out the menu. Beer, wine, soju are available with some at 20% off. Football & Lakers games have beer specials during the game, except for Friday night games. Service was good. The young male attendant was friendly & helped me sign up for Piranha’s frequent diner card. 1 dollar spent = 1 point. 100 points give me $ 5 off. Not the greatest frequent diner card offer, but it’s better than nothing. Plentiful seating, with booths, tables & at the handsome wooden sushi bar. A projection screen has the current game on screen & pop music is playing on the house speakers. Parking is in a private lot, shared by Del Taco. Just east of the 605 freeway in Lakewood, Piranha Sushi serves up delicious food, cooked & uncooked, for anyone to enjoy. With lunch & dinner Happy Hours having sushi for 50% &30% off, respectively, it’s the perfect enticement to stop by & see what Piranha Sushi has to offer. I wasn’t up to an AYCE massacre today, but beware, as I shall return and take no mercy on all sushi that dares cross my path! ;p Highly recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I came here with 3 other people and there were a few empty tables but the servers wouldn’t seat us. We eventually were able to sit at the bar. Lots of rice, not enough fish. But then again, fish quality wasn’t very fresh either. Despite hearing really good things about Piranha from my cousin, I was just not impressed. I’m not sure what we ordered but I think there was crawfish on the roll and I had to spit out the bite that I took because it was too fishy. Also, save yourself some money and do not order the hot tea. I think they gave me a lipton tea bag.

Mediocre sushi quality. I really wanted to like it because it’s the same owner as Sushi Delight in Harbor City. It was our fav sushi spot when we used to live in the South Bay. We were hoping it was going to be just as delicious because the interior and menu looks similar. but we were wrong O_o We are not particular with sushi, but their fish doesn’t taste fresh. It was still edible and tasted okay, but its nothing we would come back for. Also, the base of the sushi rolls is mostly imitation crab meat and avocado. It’s not creative and after a while, it started to taste the same especially when it’s doused with too much mayo. Even the lil appetizers we had were just okay. BAKEDGREENMUSSELS had too much mayo and I love mayo, but it was way too much. FRIEDCALAMARI and MUSHROOMBOMB(tempura button mushroom stuffed with imitation crab meat with ponzu sauce) were were the only ones we liked. However, I do like how sushi rolls came in 4 pieces. It allowed us to try a variety. I also like the price AYCE is $ 19 for lunch and $ 24 for dinner and the customer service we received was excellent. We will not be back.

So living in Cerritos, you have many AYCEKBBQ, but this is probably the only AYCE sushi in the 5 mile area that has great quality. This place is definitely small. Its not big like Sake 2 Me or Odori, but its decently sized with about 10 – 12 tables and a sushi bar. Appetizers: Pretty standard stuff like tempura, edamame, gyoza, and mussels. BUT the steal is the mushroom poppers, the salmon skin salad, and seaweed and octopus salad. Not many places even offer that. And even though its a bit of a ploy to get you full, I would eat that out of a non-AYCE sushi. Thats how good it is. Alright the rolls. The best thing about this place is that their orders are always half orders and not full ones. So you never get bored! Another point scored for allowing variety! Also one of the only places that will let me change a spider roll into a spider HR(some places are stingy with that like Odori). Finally the nigiri. Ok most times my meal for AYCE is 10% apps, 10% rolls. 80% all nigiri. The quality here is GREAT! Not to mention the fish to rice portion is amazing! Ive had all the nigiris and none disappoint! Service is great fantastic. Once, the chef sent us a special off the AYCE menu. It was fantastic and generous of them! Overall, this place has to be one of my favorite AYCE in the Long Beach/Cerritos area. Although definitely doesnt beat out my all time favorite Asahi, definitely a close second/third.

You can’t buy HAPPINESS, but you can buy sushi which is kind of like the same thing! Sometimes I feel like I’m on a life mission to try every all you can eat sushi restaurant in So Cal. So far I’ve done a pretty good job. This was my second visit at Piranha sushi. My return obviously says something about the first visit and the second visit didn’t fail. PRICES: Lunch price is $ 18.95 and dinner prices is $ 23.95, average price for most AYCE restaurants. Not the biggest roll selection, but the quality definitley makes up for the lack of rolls. FOOD: Some of the rolls included in AYCE: — Las vegas — Cali temp — Rainbow — Socal — Philly — Washington — Kamikaze — Lexus — King Kong — El Fuego — Harley Davidson — Cali — Spicy rainbow — Spicy tuna The fish is cut right, the fish to rice ratio is excellent, perfect amount of sauce(eel, teriyaki, ponzu, siracha, etc.) and all the seafood is fresh. Shout out to the sushi chef who created me a «bunny«out of my piece of shrimp. I definitely appreciated the thoughtful gesture. SERVICE: Last two visits the place hasn’t been to busy. Each visit a different server and both have been very quick in seating us, taking the orders, delivering the food and getting our checks. The sushi chefs always acknowledge us when entering and leaving the restaurant. PARKING: Plenty of ample parking in front of the restaurant. More parking available in the shopping center next door. TIP: Happy Hour Monday-Friday 3:00pm-6:00pm. Appetizers and rolls vary from $ 3.00, $ 6.00 and $ 7.00. OVERALLEXPERIENCE: One of the better all you can eat sushi spots in LA county. It’s a nice little hidden gem.

Yaaay for another all-you-can-eat sushi place around Lakewood! I’ve been to many AYCE sushi place and nothing beats Sake 2 Me but that one is far, and Piranha Sushi place will do so! :D $ 24 Dinner for AYCE and it’s really good! The customer service is excellent – the workers were attentive and patient. The place is pretty small, but they also have a bar. The ambiance is pretty cool – it’s clean and open. For AYCE selections, there were about 30 specials rolls to select from: Our favorites were the Lakewood Roll(it’s a must-try!) and Washington Roll(salmon). Their scallop sushi roll and baked green mussels were ergh – nothing special. But their salmon sashimi was delicious! You can tell that the fish they offer were fresh. Also, their chicken teriyaki was good, we loved the sauce: we even use the sauce as a dip for salmon. Oh, the mushroom bomb was literally the bomb, try it out! It’s really really good. It’s a bit oily but it’s soft. What I love about this place is that, especially as an AYCE place, their rolls come in four pieces which is great, so you don’t get full too fast and try other rolls as well: D The only rule they have is that any major leftover will be charged. Coming back here again!
