What a great find! This small restaurant is a family favorite and when we have taken visiting company, they also have enjoyed Los Gallos. We have tried nearly everything on the menu and haven’t had anything that we wouldn’t order again. Highly recommend!

We happened upon this place by accident and am so glad we did! The prices are unbelievably low and the food was unbelievably great! I had the Regular Carnitas Burrito, it was huge and the flavor was to die for. We are definitely going back. I’m giving them a 5 star rating based on the price, service, and how great the food is. This is a small, very casual Taqueria where you can order at the counter or sit down with a menu and enjoy the service.

Small place with good food for a small price. Not the largest menu but good variety with nice sized portions. I enjoy the food but wish the place was a little cleaner. Menus were dirty and I dislike being able to see stock piled on top of the drink refrigerator. Overall good food and I will be going back

Great little place. The food is good! Especially anything with the carnitas. The service leaves a little bit to be desired. Hard to get refills on drinks, chips, etc. Overall I would definitely recommend los gallos!

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to. Nice, small, hole in the wall type of place. If you like tacos you have to try the el pastor tacos and my new favorite is the shredded super burrito with enchilada sauce(wet). Either eat there or get it to go, but either way you gotta try this place!

A perfect lunch spot. Eat in or hang in the plaza with a fountain. When we’re out in the field and need a quick bite in the Lincoln area this is where we go.

The only place I order chicken chimichangas. Nom nom nom. They also have great salsa. I’ve only eaten lunch there once… All other times I get my order to go. For to go orders I have no complaints. For sit down… It seemed more lax. Which is fine because the restaurant is small and the food amazing. I just prefer to get my orders to go.

My family and I have frequented Los Gallos for over 15 years, and we have yet to be disappointed. The quality of food is pretty consistent, and it’s very affordable. It is a very small building, but the service is always friendly and quick. I love Los Gallos and I hope it is around for many years to come.

Ate here about 2 years ago and it was terrific! Unfortunately we ate here a week ago and it was terrible. Steak was like eating rubber, no flavor at all and tasted weird. It’s too bad because it used to be delicious. Wont be back

We have been to this little establishment twice. We cannot wait to return. The food is top notch but very simple, in the most amazing way. The portions are large and inexpensive. The quality of the food can rival anywhere. The service is very friendly and prompt even when they are very busy and based upon our experience is always. Carry out is constant while you are there. I especially like the way all the young staff are hard working and smiling. This is a must eat place.

This establishment is under new ownership and the food has improved. It’s always a little crowded because it’s a hole in the wall but I’m pleased that the food has gotten much better!

Quick and delicious!!! Best Mexican in Lincoln I think!!! Eat in or get it to go! Chicken is a little bit salty but I like it that way!

This is a little hole in the street taqueria. I actually like the old building it is located in. I ordered the carne asada super burrito. My buddy ordered a two combo meal with taqitos and chili relleno. My burrito was fine, but nothing overly special. Good size and came out fresh. But my buddies food was just meh. Relleno was mushy and tasteless. Beans and rice were ok. Taquitos were not bad. Going to continue my journey through Lincoln for more taqueria options.

I have been going to this place for the last 4 years. The quality of food is perfect and the service is quick and efficient! What’s my go to? Well it’s the Al Pastor Tacos but I don’t think you can really go wrong at this place. The spice level is a bit inconsistent. Some days are hotter than other days. But I like the adventure, besides I always get the delicious horchata to back me up and tone down the spice. This restaurant is humbly sized. If they really wanted to I’m sure they could expand and make a killing. Oh yes… How could I forget. This place serves free chips and salsa while you wait in the restaurant. They’re excellent!

We have eaten at this quaint home-style Mexican restaurant in downtown Lincoln and brought out of town guests, each time, it was a hit. Traditional, no frills, great food is what you’ll find here. But, when it came to finding a caterer for our son’s first birthday party, we didn’t think about this place until after a very bad experience seeking to book another Lincoln Mexican restaurant which had been recommended to us for catering. With only one week’s notice, the owner, Lourdes, confirmed our booking for on-site cook/serve for 50 people. The price was reasonable and there was great service with all staff, and Lourdes herself, who was quick to get back to us and very accommodating despite our needing to change our head count 3 times in a week. No communication issues, incredibly pleasant and professional all around. They arrived with their own grill, salsa bar, and all serving utensils for the food and guests, which made things so much easier as hosts. But, the real praise we have to save for the food — incredible! The pork and chicken tacos, beans, rice, guacamole, chips and salsa bar, everything was stellar– our guests, age 2 – 70’s, were all raving about the food! The beans are particularly yummy! Extremely reasonably priced, substantially less expensive than several other places we checked into before booking with Lourdes. Honestly, for what you’d spend in groceries, serving stuff, not to mention the cooking process, I highly recommend you think of catering your next party with Los Gallos, you can’t go wrong! And, with someone else in charge of feeding your guests, you’ll actually get to enjoy your margaritas and the party! Huge bonus? No cleaning up! Thank you Los Gallos, we will be back.

Wow! I forgot to write a review. First this isn’t a traditional dive, or Chevy’s type spot… or even margarita shack. This is your aunt’s kitchen… kicking out fresh fare with a smile. Those they may be marked down for service, it’s most like because it’s as if your cousin is running tables. It’s a more homelike experience. I must warn you… if you don’t like spicy… don’t get to aggressive in ordering and topping your fare:) That said, great Lincoln location and friendly to visitors. I recommend.

Went for the first time. I had four street tacos two carnitas & two carne asada, hubby had chicken chimichanga, son had smothered carne asada burrito. Mine was okay. I wanted some jalapeños along with my tacos. The carnitas was a little crispy for roasted pork. Hubby’s was bad. Boiled chicken in he chimichanga =zero flavor! Plus the tortilla was too floury and not crispy like a deep fry. Son’s burrito was good and large, he didn’t finish which is shocking for a teenager with a pair of hollow legs. There were some natives eating there, that is usually a good sign, but it was just pretty bland. Very limited space, only 8 tables. But service is fast.

Al pastor burrito was very good, the meat was well seasoned and had a nice char to the outside edge. The food was reasonably priced, prepared quickly, and tasted great. The staff was only one person but he was very pleasant and worked hard to make sure that everyone was taken care of. Had to knock it down a star because I didn’t get any salsa with my chips.

A little dive restaurant that serves tasty food. The menu has all the usual suspects: burritos, tacos, enchiladas, you know the drill. Beer & wine. Just a few Formica tables, place seats about 24. Service always with a smile. Best Mexican food in Lincoln, CA.
