My gym buddies swore by this spot and recommended their burritos. 1st impression, when I saw two microwaves near the stove l knew l was in trouble. I saw the cook come from the kitchen with a very dirty dish cloth, as he started to wipe down the counter. The place was dirty, and the menu was filthy. The cook did NOT wear gloves as he made my burrito(most eateries wear gloves when they prepare your food in front of you) Think Chipotle, Subway, Togos. Needless to say l requested my money back and left.

Update* Today I brought my mom for lunch and she got the relleno on the lunch special. She is pretty picky about these but this one was very good! It USA small one so she got a shredded beef taco too. The shredded beef was very tasty but she had done trouble eating it so next time she will get asada. I got the Chicano which was pretty much steak fajitas and excellent! I will definitely get this again. Small family run business with excellent food. Everything is made fresh and very tasty. The steak rancheros was really good but I would have liked more bell peppers and fewer jalapeños. That’s a personal choice. Husband got the chicken fajitas and really enjoyed them. The service was fast and efficient. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is the ambience. Just a little hole in the wall with soccer on the tv. Will come back!

I’m finding I really like this place. I normally get the humongous chimichanga because it’s so big and yummy! Today with the rain I wanted soup. Maria suggested the shrimp and veges and it was really tasty and again, lots of it. Like the food, the owners, the workers and it’s always clean and quiet. So glad it’s right by where I work.

Sure the floor seems dirty and the menu is kinda nasty but damn that was a good burrito. I got the chicken burrito with everything in it. Tortilla was good and the chicken wasnt greasy and seemed to be good quality. I really enjoyed it, so did my buddy and wife. Think I found my mexican place in lincoln. Cant wait to try something else there.

Ordered the Carnitas dinner last night and was left very disappointed. The Carnitas were dry, rock hard and tasted leftover from previous days ago.

Good customer service but the food was just bland. Didn’t have much flavor to the meat.

This place is amazing. Been eating here for almost ten years. Small, Owner-Operated local business. Quality is second to nine, customer service the same. I eat here as often as I can.

Fantastic food for the money. This place is better than Mexican deli hands down. I don’t like the salsa bar. Something about all the customers being able to touch or cough or sneeze on it grosses me out. maybe its my inner germaphobe but its my opinion so take it with a grain of salt if you disagree. Other than that its a decent place to eat. Staff is friendly. service is fast. The tacos are kinda small but its traditional so it makes sense. I eat here regularly.

I love their grilled chicken tacos with avocado slices! Ok, it may be a special order, but it’s so good! We eat here a lot! More than I’m willing to admit! Good food, good service, local restaurant, what’s not to love?

This location is smaller, but it’s sooooo much better than the one in Wheatland. The people who work here are a lot friendlier, the quality of the food is better, and the service is a lot faster. Regarding the food… the fish tacos are delicious and the carnitas are always on point. Love it!

My favorite place for mexican food in Lincoln! Fresh cooking with fast service in a casual atmosphere. I dine in, pick up to go and got a large catering order for a birthday party. I have no complaints! Always very helpful service. You can’t beat their prices.

Food was ok. Had the super tacos veggie style. Hubby got the super burrito, kids got bean burritos and cheese quesadilla. Quick service. Reasonable prices. Fairly clean. Flies buzzing around was a buzz kill. Probably won’t be back…

If you want good food at great prices go here! If you are eating here of Togo the food is always awesome and the prices are more than a great deal. It’s almost always the same chef and he does a fantastic job. They even have a frequent burrito buyer punch card!

Small hole in the wall taqueria with large portions, good taste and great price. My wife and I got wet burritos(carnitas and chicken) and our kids got a taco and quesadilla. Everything was delicious. Chip and salsa bar was also good, although not many choices of salsa. We will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely, hands down, the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. I called to speak with Humberto about a huge party I was throwing and wanted to have catering done. The woman who answered the phone said he wasn’t there and hung up on me. I called back and mentioned I had just called and called back to inquire when Humberto would be in so I could talk to him. She said, «Next month,» and hung up on me again. So, I called back for the third time and asked if there was anyone else I could talk to. She said, «No, there’s no one here.» So, naturally I said, «Well, you’re there right?» Then she got nasty and said, «I’m busy!» So, before she could hang up in me again I said that I’m inquiring about catering for a very large party I’m having. She said to call back at 3 and talk to Maria. Is this how they do business? OMG! Needless to say, we have hired a different restaurant to cater our party and they are EXCITED. I will never eat here, nor do business with them in the future. Sorry, Humberto, but your staff just lost you a great account. Maybe it’s time to fire someone. So, with that, avoid Mi Pueblito Taqueria and give your business to someone who cares about their customers. I will continue to spread the word too.

What a fun find! Popped in here after getting taxes done in Lincoln. The two guys working there were so friendly. I got the nachos with carnitas and they were delicious! The cook behind the bar gave me some homemade hot sauce to top on them and that just made them more amazing! Next time we drive through, I’ll def stop in again.

I used to drive by this little taqueria ALL the time when it was located on the old highway 65, before they opened the Lincoln bypass. And I had made a mental note to try it one day. Monday was that day… I was craving Mexican so I figured I’d give it a shot. Walking in, you realize just how TINY this place is. The building is split into two restaurants; subway and what appears to used to be a Chubby’s which is now occupied by El Pueblito. There were no more than 6 tables and 4 of which were full with families. The other 2 tables hadn’t been bussed yet. As well as the countertop bar, was dirty. Since there were only 2 people were working and they were pretty full, I figured that was the reason the tables hadnt been cleaned yet. I went straight to the counter and looked at the menu. I ordered the chile relleno & chicken enchilada combo to go. There really wasn’t a place to wait so I just grabbed a chair at one of the dirty tables and made sure not touch anything. As I was waiting, the families having dinner were all finishing up and heading out, I noticed that the cook and the hostess were just chatting as opposed to cleaning ANY of the tables or anything for that matter… uh so who knows how long those other tables were sitting like that. When my food was ready they handed me a plastic bag where I could see that my container wasn’t even closed… enchilada sauce everywhere is not a cute look so I made sure to close the box and headed on my way home. The food: eh, and that’s just being nice. It was pretty mediocre at best. Not much flavor, the beans left a filmy feeling in my mouth. The rice wasn’t cooked all the way, so I had crunchy rice. And the chile relleno and enchilada was just not good. I don’t think I’d ever say there was a bad chile relleno out there, but I was proven wrong. I definitely won’t be coming back.
