The saddest food I’ve ever had. Grey chicken, mushy and tasteless risotto(certainly not the right rice for a risotto). Extremely disappointing. The 2 stars go for the service and drinks.

A nice needed punch in the Lafayette food game. Locally sourced, creative food options that seem to have something for everyone. The wine selection was good, but the cocktail selection looked adventurious, check out the pics of the menus I took to see more. The service wasn’t that great, our server seemed to have her mind some place else and struggled with the wine service, but I can’t put this on all the servers as this was my first time there. My shrimp and grits were not what I was expecting as a southern girl, but I was happily surprised. Thick and creamy grits toped with mushrooms and thick shrimp, so good. Everyone at my table finished their food with a smile on their faces. I will be back.

Ok, if you haven’t tried this place, you need to! The building itself is beautiful. The owners have managed to make the place modern, yet still retains some of the old architectural design of the building. The menu is seasonal offerings of fresh foods, most of which are from businesses and farms throughout the state. They also work with anyone that has dietary allergies or restrictions, so they have really created a restaurant for everyone to enjoy. The menu itself is full of creative dishes, but they have old standbys as well. From fresh chicken salad to a new twist on the classic grilled cheese, to salads, burgers, sandwiches and more. You will have no issues finding something to cure your cravings.

Farm to table has arrived in sleepy(West) Lafayette. Or rather, just one that I had stumbled upon randomly Unilocaling the area. We went for a leisurely lunch, wasn’t too busy on Saturday at noonish. It smelled slightly of bleach, like it was just cleaned after a rowdy night, but the smell dissipated soon enough. We ordered the bacon wrapped chorizo stuffed dates, the pear and butternut squash salad and their lunch risotto with a side of soup. I didn’t try the soup as I’m not really a cream-based-soup-kinda person, but the rest of the food was decent. I was pleasantly surprised with the salad, as the pear was still steaming from being just roasted. The risotto was on the bland side, but with a small sprinkling of salt, really brought out the woody mushroom flavors. Waitress was a bit absent minded and forgot to bring plates and clear the table here and there, but nothing that was too egregious. Overall, not a bad place but not something I would actively seek out on my next visit here.

Restauration has an outstanding menu with several excellent vegetarian options. I had a difficult time deciding what to choose, and finally went with my server’s recommendation, the grapefruit, avocado and fennel salad — and it did not disappoint. Everything about this salad was perfect — the texture and flavor combination, the aesthetics, the amount of dressing. I just wish I had room for dessert… next time!

We are lucky to have a restaurant like this in Lafayette. Absolutely first rate in my opinion. Outstanding service, nice ambiance, and wonderful menu selections. We had a cauliflower/Cheese appetizer that looked like a round mini-pizza and it was terrific. For my ain course I had the Lamb and sausage meatloaf drizzled with some srirachi sauce and some with smashed potatoes. Another fantastic choice. To top everything off I had a beer from SunKing brewery– a local brewery in Indianapolis. Delicious. Everything on the menu is locally sourced and fresh. It’s a bit pricier than most, but well worth it.

This place was absolutely amazing. We were travelling back from Kentucky making our way home to Chicago and decided to stop here for dinner. Farm to table restaurant with a great priced wine list is what sold me but in the words of my Fiancé«This is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had»(Paco Chicken Sandwich). It’s hard to find a place that will have an amazing salad(Pear and butternut squash salad) and something that he will enjoy. That salad was hands down one of the best salads I have ever had– I just wish that there was a little less dressing since it was pooling on the bottom of the bowl near the end. Please open a restaurant in Chicago– you would make a killing.

It’s like having a bit of the foodie scene from boulder in Lafayette, Indiana. Delicious Paleo and grain free selections. Fantastic cocktails, and wine and beer selections!

Fantastic! We are so lucky we found the Restauration restaurant. What a treat. The food is fabulous, the server is both very knowledgeable and friendly, the ambiance is great. And first and foremost, they source only local produce. Awesome! We’re from California/France. Butternut lasagne, pork steak, and lamb meatloaf recommended. Great beer. This is an experience, plan to stay for the evening ;-) Restauration has become a reference for us, and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

I love this place. I went on NYE and had the best meal to end a fabulous year. They update their menu as the seasons change, but when I did go, I had the Mac and cheese which was a plate a yummy pasta and veggies topped with a bunch of cheese and the bread pudding which was enough to make we want to just come for dessert. I really enjoyed the food and the service was great. All of my specific questions regarding the food got answered. I will be back!

Place is plain and simple looking, nothing great. Really noisy and tables are pretty cramped together. The waitress we had wasn’t very good either. They placed a wine looking bottle on the table that had water in it, and she came to the table when our glasses were half full to fill them the rest of the way and kept saying«there is water on the table folks». Yeah i know, and when my glass is empty i will refill it! Some of the food was decent, but not worth the cost. My chorizo and shrimp burger was very dry. Bacon wrapped dates and my wife’s Monte Christo were pretty good. My daughter got a fennel, avocado salad that was bland, and my son got a flank steak that was decent but very raw for a child’s taste. Really 2 ½ stars is my rating. We won’t be going back.

I have been here a couple times before and always had a great time and fantastic food. On the Saturday before Valentines a group of friends and I came in for a friends Valentines dinner. We had the best time. Started with the nachos which were salty sweet cheesy goodness. Food came out in a timely manner no long waits and not fussed so I know kitchen and front of house work well together. I myself had shrimp and grits, the shrimp were perfect and not over cooked rubber. The grits were perfectly done and not a mushy paste. Friends had the special which was a stuffed pork loin with apricots and honey Dijon sauce. It was wonderful, the flavors combined so well and even though my shrimp and grits were great I wished I had ordered the pork. Lol. Another friend had the flank steak which had spinach rolled inside and topped with a pistachio pesto. Again it was delectable and the flank was perfectly cooked. Wine list had something for everyone and the prices to satisfy everyone. Our Server Scott was spot on! Very attentive friendly and helpful and knowledgable of the menu. Love that food is locally sourced. Prices are right for the product and area. I would recommend this place highly.

This is a great place for lunch when it’s open. I’ve had a few times I missed lunch because it’s only 11 – 2, which is lunch time but sometimes I eat late. The menu changes because the restaurant uses mostly local farms as suppliers. It’s a restaurant dedicated to eat local and farm to table. Almost everything I’ve tried on the menu so far has been great. Very tasty and plenty of options for all! The lunch menu is great because it’s affordable and tasty. Dinner menu is pretty much the same but gets to be fairly more expensive compared to lunch. I would definitely recommend trying Resaturation!

Friendly service & nice farm to table concept. The menu is full of interesting items & my cobb salad came out looking beautiful. That said, it wasn’t as good as it looked. The butternut squash lacked flavor & I didn’t like it cold even though it was on a cold salad. The pancetta was fatty with an odd flavor & I didn’t enjoy the house vinaigrette(celery flavor) dressing. 3 stars because the space is nice, so are the staff and my friends enjoyed their meals(Mac & cheese, squash & black bean quinoa bowl).

This is a unique concept for West Lafayette. I had been eyeing this place for a while and finally had a great friend in town with me to try it! Our server Kat was definitely friendly and recommended some delicious beverages to start. I had the summer martini and it was everything I’d hoped for. Slightly sweet and made with vodka, champagne and some other sweetness. For dinner, I had the whole roasted chicken with risotto and a side of vegetables. It was delicious! My friend had the beef kabob, another excellent choice. I’d recommend trying this place when you’re in town!

We came here last night with a large group. The food was pretty good. I had the roast chicken and my husband had the chorizo burger(both $ 18). We both really enjoyed our meals. Dinner entrees come with two sides, one fixed and one of your choice. There are a lot of choices for sides including salads, soups, cooked vegetables, and risottos. The poblano parmesan risotto was absolutely excellent. I do think the food is on the salty side, because I was thirsty all night after eating here. The prices are high for the area, but the portions are huge. The service was very good, and they gave everyone in our group of about 12 people separate checks, which was very much appreciated.

There was so much hype for this farm to table concept restaurant before it opened. The birthday meal I had recently utterly deflated my high expectations. My initial thoughts: The service was friendly and mostly adequate. The space was extremely loud and impersonal. Pork belly was as chewy and tough as beef jerky — extremely disappointing. Smoked blue cheese and fresh baked bread on the cheese plate was pretty tasty but nothing special. 2 vegetarian options on the entire menu should’ve been a red flag for a «farm to table» restaurant in the summer, but I ordered the veggie burger anyway. It was a part mess overloaded with cumin and in need of salt. It was topped with bread and butter pickles that were sickly sweet and boring cheddar cheese wrapped in an average bun. The chicken soup was ok, a bit like like what my grandma would’ve made but overloaded with black pepper and red pepper. The side salad dressing was like sickly sweet bread and butter pickle juice mixed in a bit of olive oil. Most things are $ 18 – 20 and I felt totally completely ripped off by the uninspired veggie burger that I could’ve made better at home by opening a can of black beans and throwing in a few stale spices. To top it off, my entire family was sick that evening. It would take quite a bit of convincing to get me to return.

I thought the food was great. We eat out once a month and I would put this at the top of my list. The bacon wrapped dates was wonderful. The steak has good flavor. The ribs were not over cooked. I guess the only thing we didn’t find wonderful was the noise level. It’s a little loud upstairs. Not unbearable but noisy.

We went there on opening weekend. I was pleasantly surprised how organized everything was. The waiter was very knowledgeable we didn’t have any of those opening weekend mistakes that can happen. We had the pork belly sliders as an appetizer and they were delicious. My husband loved his lamb steak and my pork was great. I loved the ambiance of Restauration. I really hope they do well.

I would’ve loved to have reviewed the food, but my wife and I were just greeted and seated by a very less-than-enthusiastic waiter who sat us in a corner, despite the restaurant being half empty. We then sat at our table while wait staff buzzed by consistently without saying a word. After about ten minutes of being ignored we left and went to Kokoros where we were treated with a smile as usual. I would love to come back as the menu looked awesome, but the wait staff issue definitely needs addressed before then.
