Deep flavors and great flavor combinations right near the river. Everything I’ve ever had here has been amazing. The flavors are rich and never bland. The cucumber cocktail is crisp and refreshing. A great place for lunch on the patio or a date night. Must go in Lafayette. They do food right.

Wow! The menu has a lot to offer as far unique dishes and they don’t skimp on the cheese in their salads. Everything from the tacos ro the potato skins was perfectly spiced and particularly flavorful. As a purdue student, this is my new favourite place.

So this place feels like it shouldn’t belong in Lafayette… I like to come here and trick myself into thinking I am in Chicago. With that said, the ambiance is great. HOWEVER, I was brought back to reality when Sweet Child o Mine started playing in the background. I commend Red Seven for the drink selection, but they could use a non vodka or gin drink for a change(tequila is the new gin). Each time I go I get the Stir Fry; you can’t really mess up a dish like that and the other choices are meh. Bottom line: ambiance is great, food is just ok.

This is really more like 3.5. I really like this place at dinner, where they have a New American menu that is fairly unique for the area, with a great variety of steaks, seafoods and pastas. My farfelle pasta and almond crusted chicken in garlic cream sauce with mushrooms, tomatoes and peas($ 16) was excellent and big enough that I could get a second meal out of it. Based on that visit it would be a solid 4 stars, but I’ve also been several times at lunch, and have found the more limited lunch menu(which only offers salads, sandwiches and pizzas) much less impressive. The spinach and strawberry salad was tasty but nothing special, and easy enough to recreate at home, and the parmesan chicken sandwich was disappointing. Prices are on the higher side for the area, but not unreasonable. Lunch items are mostly $ 9 – 10, dinner entrees are mostly $ 15 – 20, with a few steaks costing more.

Three of us had a nice lunch. We had a GF a vegetarian and a normal person and all were happy. Young waiter(David) was attentive and on point. Nice atmosphere. 25 bottled beers available. Not snooty but a little foodie-ish. But whaddyyou want itsa college town.

When we arrived there was a man with a friendly smile who greeted us cheerfully and opened up the door for us. Wonderful service… and then the man promptly left as he was actually a guest there. The host/manager arrived a few minutes later and promptly sat us(without the smile or personality of the guest that greeted us) We sat outside under an umbrella and had a nice server who got our million dollar mojito and Mojo ginger gin(not the real name) cocktails promptly. The mojito was good– not as sweet as I personally like but good. The Mojo ginger had a happy gin bite and was great. We had the Caesar which was ok– store bought croutons with the dressing on the side. We ordered the Italian pizza and added onions and jalapenos. Good thick crust but it could have easily been a pre done crust… similar to a Digornio pre cooked crust. Thick enough a slice filled me up Overall all I would give it a 4 stars for cocktails but 2 stars for food so the average is a 3 star review.

Very good, pre-game food and experience. The pizza was a good choice and was pleased with the beer selection. Would come here again.

Awesome place to dine… inside or outside on the patio. Great food and friendly staff. And the cucumber martini was surprisingly tasty. Two thumbs up Red Seven!

Nice décor and great service really stood out for me in regards to this place. The food was pretty godwits decent portion sizes. I got their version of a steak sandwich, which was a flank steak marinated in whiskey with some other stuff. The bread for the sandwich was really good, but the steak had been overlooked a bit and got kind of tough towards the last bite. There was a large group of us, though, and we all had no gripes with our dishes. From pastas, to roasted chicken and salads, this place did a very solid job pleasing us all.

The place looks very trendy. The service is great and we loved our food and cocktails. We got the lemon chicken and the stirfry and they were both very yummy. We’ll definitely go there again.

This place is perfect for a business meeting, date night, family dinner, or even happy hour! Every time I have gone I have been amazed with how delicious the food is and the professionalism of the staff. I highly recommend the pesto calamari and the pasta dishes

The food was terrible. Came her as a family on a Monday afternoon for lunch. My son ordered the Italian pizza no ham, I ordered the fish tacos with soup, and my husband had the angus sliders. My sons pizza came out 15 minutes after our food and it was half cooked and the topping were missing on one side. My fish tacos had so much guacamole on them that was all I tasted and my husbands sliders had stale pretzel rolls.

A little dark inside but a nice atmosphere overall. Dinner on the patio was enjoyable on a nice summer evening. Server was friendly. The bone in pork chop was a neat presentation, but a little dry in a few spots(maybe because it is cut so thick). The sauce made up for this. Will have to try some more items from the menu.

Refreshing drinks! The food is a little pricey, but actually for inside ambiance, outside patio, and location downtown easily accessible to guests from Lafayette and West Lafayette. Respectfully, what do we have left? Adelino’s and Main Street Wine & Cheese are both closed. So much for wine, the classiest it gets here, and Tapas. Very sad to see them go especially the best staff and owners to grace this town! …Red Seven is perhaps by a matter of my opinion my newest classiest place in town to enjoy. For years I had heard they have mostly good drinks. A little pricey for our market. I agree with BOTH of those. Love the drinks. The price is just fine but expensive for anything in this area. However, you get the quality you pay for and we need this place to make it here! I had a mojito and it was awesome. I had coconut shrimp appetizer(only 5 is the serving) but loved every bite. The menu is fairly short, but the food and drinks are possibly the top hits over the years. The hours on google(and Unilocal) are wrong per the hostess one check in(and he is correct). However the hours to me seem variable by day and season too. So who knows. Overall, they are NOT open as late as generally listed. I advise to just call any day and ask the hours and the hours of the kitchen. Spare you and them both with communication to get the hours. I don’t know what to say. It’s a trendy place. Not quite as classy as some competitors that have closed, but still more sheik than other stuff around. A little bit more upscale I suppose. It’s certainly turning into a patio out front downtown I am loving drinks and a light bite or meal with friends at lately. I think this could be a nice date place in this area or a place to meet with friends. It is not rowdy, but still casual wear overall and such. Just a little more quality and ambiance if you like on the indoor booths and a patio out front for casual adult conversation. Overall, a great 4 stars. It doesn’t blow me away yet, but how can I complain. I hope they can hold on with the higher prices and shorter hours in this small town area. The Purdue students in undergrad certainly don’t come here! It’s not expensive. Just in this town it is for the market and all surrounding places. Having some classy touch or trendy value is tough to pull off and appeal enough people around here I feel. Overall, 9⁄12 months this is a college town. My fingers are crossed Red Seven continues survival!!!

I’ve been here a handful of times when I’m in town. Overall, I agree to what others say. Don’t go for the food because it’s all frozen pre made and you can tell if you’re a real foodie. Ok for meet up place for some drinks.

Sat in the bar on a Saturday night with my husband and 22 year old son. The waitress came to our table quickly and gave us some helpful appetizer suggestions. We started with the veggie egg rolls and coconut shrimp-thank goodness they were appetizers –since we quickly devoured them and if there were more, we would nave never gotten to dinner! My son and i had the Maui Maui and my husband had the chicken stir fry. The Maui Maui was served atop a bed of linguini with an absolutely delicious sauce on top, and my husband’s stir fry he proclaimed was perfect and just the right amount. Great atmosphere and great service-cant’ wait to go back!

The atmosphere and décor are better than the food. The adventurous foodie in me didn’t get excited about the menu options, nor the taste of my scallops. They were on the rubbery side… perhaps they were frozen?(Side note to restaurants everywhere: if you’re going to have lots of steaks and seafood options, PLEASE make sure they’re not from the freezer!) My friend ordered the almond & parmesan chicken, and that was more to my liking. Still, most items made me feel like I could have made them at home. If I came back, the only guarantee is that I’ll order from the beer menu, because at least they have People’s on draft.

Nice place. Not a long menu. But whatever they offer is delicious. Tried 3 appetizers and made a meal of them. Friendly staff. Great ambience. Recommend strongly to anyone visiting Lafayette.
