Despite the slightly above average prices the quality of the food and the environment is fantastic. To boot great service and a nice area make this a fantastic date local

A quick sojourn to Lowes turned into a delightful pit stop at Chases. Oddly, we were listening to KFI’s Fork Report right as we were passing La Verne. Their chef/owner Chris was being interviewed and mentioned their beef brisket flatbread with horseradish cream sauce. Well, that, coupled with a some Old Fashions, lived up to the description we heard. Absolutely delicious. And friendly service with Susan behind the bar.(And she didn’t mind we walked in 10 minutes before they even opened.) Nice place. Wish it was in Monrovia.

Fresh high quality food cooked over an open flame with 200 year old red oak! Very nice. This gives the meat, fish and vegetables a signature Chase’s taste. Chris the owner and chef is very personable as well. I highly recommend this place. If it’s not on your radar, it needs to be.

Server took a long time getting to our table after we were seated. My stake was cold and veggies burned. We had to walk up to hostess to ask for our check since our waitress never came to check on us. If you like average food and service this is your place.

We are regulars and shame on me for not posting sooner. Everything is amazing. Tonight’s special was a «golden sole » served piccata style … Oh my goodness Angie’s kale salad always great. My son loves the pork chops. Also a huge fan of the Thai chicken flat bread. Thank you for offering meat and potatoes and also some genuine vegetarian options for the rest of my family!!!

I don’t consider myself to be a «Yelper» but I just had an exceptional Caesar salad, seriously the best I ever had. I’ve had many positive experiences at Chase’s and certainly recommend it.

This place is nice but I think it’s expensive for what you get. The appetizers have a weak selection. The cauliflower is watered down Buffalo sauce. Not that great. The tomato bisk soup is watered down as well, not good. Bathroom is unacceptable. A large restaurant with a single use men’s room? Hello we are drinking beer. Be prepared to hold your blatter. The steak and shrimp were excellent! Order it. Make reservations to eat on patio around the fire pit and enjoy your evening.

Very beautiful location with friendly staff, but I agree that it is pricey. The portion sizes are alright and the taste is definitely great, but a little overpriced in my opinion. My biggest annoyance were the flys. We sat outside at the fire pit table and we couldn’t even enjoy our meal because there were tons of flys around us. When we asked for a candle or something to keep the flies away they said they didn’t have anything. It’s a really cute place here and id like to give it another try, but the flies made it impossible to eat and I’m not sure I would return again. Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been here before, but I would suggest sitting inside, or only outside at night.

Very rare to find Louvar fish anywhere, and Chase’s had it tonight so we couldn’t pass it up. It could be likely that it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to eat this fish as it is rare to catch. The portion of the fish was good, cooked to perfection with garlic and ginger but not overly powering the flavor of the fish: flakey, tender, and the flavor of the fish itself was slightly sweet like a Halibut. Served with a light coconut basmati rice and green beans. Our server Kim was excellent. And Chris the executive chef and owner personally visited our table. Very nice ambiance and overall experience.

This is my go-to restaurant if I want to take someone for good food and conversation. I have been here over 2 dozen times. Why this gets 5 stars is for the exceptional staff and management. The people make Chases special. The food is very good as well. I have never had a bad lunch or dinner. Each night they have a fish special which is special. The Wesley is a filling cheese burger with a friend egg(only on dinner menu, when my hangover is over). The Thai Chicken flat bread is both filling and very flavorful of different tastes. But the people are the best. As a good friend would say«They are solid». It is very good bang/buck.

It’s hard to argue this place getting a 5 star. Not much I can say about it that’s negative. It’s hot outside? The fire pit was too nice? Couldn’t stop eating? Exactly. Great food. Great service. And even better atmosphere. Chases is a definite must try.

Wow la Verne! I never would have thought I would find a restaurant as magnificent as this in a random small town like la Verne! Everything was spectacular! Trust me, order from the grill. They have some major grilling skill here. The caprese salad was so fresh with their homegrown tomatoes and basil! The steak melted on your mouth as did the delicious grilled lemon chicken. If I had to pick one I would go with the steak. Chef told us later that in the future we should order their fish special which is flown in daily! Desert and coffee were like heaven having a party inside of my mouth! I can not wait to go back. Thank you chase’s for brining good And healthy food to the suburbs. I can’t wait for your second restaurant!

I absolutely love this place! I go there often just for a drink at the bar, because… OMG! cocktail heaven! But I always end up eating there too, even if it’s just a snack or appetizer, because their food is just that good. Everything I see coming out from the kitchen makes me want it, so I am compelled to order something, and it doesn’t matter what I order, from the artichoke dip to the ahi salad to the Australian lamb chops(yeah baby!), I am always overjoyed by it. I’ve noticed a couple of negative reviews on here and as a regular visitor to this delightful establishment, I’m wondering if the writers of said reviews are just so rigid that they don’t understand how a popular place can make a couple of mistakes on busy nights, you just have to be a little tolerant and understand context. If it’s popular it means that the place is really good most of the time, and if it’s busy, or there’s a new(or trainee) employee, then mistakes may(and probably will) happen. Have some patience and always give them another chance. You will be glad you did, because they are amazing.

Attended a surprise birthday party here last Sunday. Our party took the entire patio area, which could probably accomodate 50 people or so. Area was equipped with plenty of outdoor heaters. Ordered the Wesley burger($ 14?) and the slider trio($ 9?) in the appetizer section to share with the fiancé. The burger was a little too rare, but it was our mistake. The egg was perfectly runny. The sliders outshined the burger though. Very flavorful! All the servers were friendly and accomodating. There’s street parking, or a public lot across the way. I would probably just order the sliders as a meal next time(for one person), if we go back… the prices are a bit on the steep side. Otherwise, the place is good!

I came here for dinner with my colleagues after the company golf tournament and we had a nice time. We got a large table with the fire pit in the middle outside, which was nice. We arrived around 5pm on a Thursday night, so it wasn’t too busy and our table was ready(we made a reservation ahead of time) when we got there. I believe they asked for a deposit for the table, since we requested one with a fire pit, which is kinda lame, but maybe they’ve had issues in the past? Luckily, it wasn’t busy because they only have one ladies bathroom. There was a line the entire time I was there, so I can’t imagine how awful it would be on a busy night. Our waitress came to the table right away and took our drink and appetizer order. She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive throughout our meal. The owner came by our table a couple times while we were there to check on things, which is always nice. We order some jalapeño poppers, sliders, bacon wrapped dates & artichoke dip. The poppers were pretty good. Still a little crunchy and some of them were pretty spicy. The pork slider I had was yummy, as were the bacon wrapped dates. I was not a fan of the artichoke dip though(which I usually love)– the flavors didn’t meld very well, the cheese wasn’t really melted throughout and it was a little too chunky, so it didn’t get on the pita chips easily. It was also pretty small for a ‘large’ order. They have a good selection of cocktails on their drink menu, although most of them are very sweet. My colleagues favorites were the pear and lemon drop martinis. I tried the mojito, which was pretty good, but I prefer a little more mint in it. Some of the guys from our firm had been here before and SWEARBY the Wesley burger. It did sound and look amazing, but I had a burger for lunch, so I went with the pork chop w/peppercorn gravy, baked apple & mashed potatoes. It was okay, but the peppercorns really overpowered the dish. I probably wouldn’t order it again. My colleagues LOVED the burgers and the Mac n Cheese entrée, as well. I tried a bite of the mac and it was delicious, but not something I’d want as an entire entrée. Overall, the place is pretty good and I would come by again when I’m in the area, but I’d probably try something different on the menu.

Very quaint restaurant-bar with good food and elegant but also laid-back setting. Nice inside dine-in bar area with TVs to watch the games but also has a charming outdoor seating area(quite large). Nice menu-selection and friendly service. Nothing like watching the good ol’ Dodgers with some wine and cheese. #I’msofancy
