Applebee’s

Me and my friend have eaten dinner here several times in the past. The food is reliably tasty with generous portions and good selections from a creative menu, I would give that part 4.5 stars. This review is all about the service tonight (6÷23÷16). They’re service isn’t so good since they started they’re ATM style order-you’re-own at your table system, in my opinion. They seem to have fewer servers — we had to wait to order then wait quite a while for the bill and even longer for our change — tedious!
On top of that, tonight they didn’t have bread so several sandwiches weren’t even available, sigh… We’ll be back but I think we’ll give it a break.

Great spot to grab a bite at. Friendly staff and excellent service. Be sure to order the mouth watering triple chocolate meltdown! I ordered 2 for myself because I loved it so much!

Since new management this Applebee’s has gone down hill. The past couple times the service has been real slow and running out of stuff on the menu. Last three items we ordered the waitress came back 15 minutes after we ordered and said they ran out. Place looks better but everything else has gone down hill.

We love going to Applebee’s! Love the won ton tacos! But today was different, got there at about 11:40 and was quickly seated! Already knew what we wanted, so we closed menus and waited! And waited and waited! Never asked about drink orders, never got even water! More people were seated and waitress went right up to them! We decided to leave and then was asked if we had been helped, NOPE! Very poor service! We waited over 15 minutes! Really?

Service was so mediocre. They served refried dry card board fries.
My son’s streak was rubbery and the steamed vegies turned colors and so unappetizing. I completely lost my appetite, my shrimps are bland and super greasy. Ew.

Basically, the food is good. But our waitress was extremely short with us, and not friendly whatsoever. So you have a bad day, put a smile on your face anyways, I do at work. On top of it, she asked me for my id for a alcoholic drink and said ok ill be right back with that. Then comes back five minutes later saying your id is expired sorry. Why couldn’t she have said that at first, i didnt even realize it was expired. Then she came and shoved our appetizer in front of the other people in my party without warning and walked away. Terrible service, 2 stars for decent food.

The worst experience I have EVER had at Applebee’s in San Dimas. The wait was long, they seated a party of 7 over our party of 4, (even though we were there 10 minutes before them). I ordered a house sirloin med. rare, it came out well done and looked like it was boiled, the salad was watery so the dressing has no taste and the kids cheese burger was the size of a slider which was not enough for my child. We don’t get out to dinner much as money is tight these days, I was really disappointed I spent $ 35.00 and didn’t even get to eat. Don’t think we will be back.

Me and my girlfriend along with her two brothers came here tonight for some late night food and drinks we have been customers here for many years and have never had issues it seems as if this place is under new management or something because never have we been treated so awful .Our servers name was tarynn and she could not have looked anymore unhappy to be working we did not get refills waited forever to order then weren’t even offered any sauces for our food also they never even came to clean off our old plates from our appetizers. Then when we received our main courses than food was cold, flavorless, and extremely greasy. To follow with our terrible experience then we experience an incredibly expensive bill 72 $ for 3 burgers and some some chicken wings is ridiculous. Needless to say we will not come back here ever again.

Celebrated Valentine’s Day with an early dinner with my honey. Ashley, our waitress was a very nice and very accommodating. A down to earth person. The 9 oz steaks we had were delicious and prepared just right (med. rare). Went home happy. Ashley, your the best. Good luck to you.

Had dinner tonight and we were served by Chelsea and I must say she was the BEST! She made us feel so comfy like old friends and was patient and also gave us feedback when I would asked about a few different entrees. She remembered the drinks we were having and kept them coming and just checked in on us and made sure we were satisfied with our dinners. Her positive attitude and patience really made my evening a great one. Thanks Chelsea, you are one in a million these days, Applebee’s should know you are a true asset to the san Dimas location.

I like Applebees. Many people know about their service already. Price for food isn’t bad and the drinks can be pricey depending on what you order. The atmosphere is good and usually there is no wait to be seated. Food here good, drinks (beer) good price.

Best service and food! Our last minute decision not to cook and eat out was a great one… We absolutely loved the home made chips and our burgers were so flavorful. The service exceeded our expectations and we plan to visit this location regularly. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff who valued our business. Thank you Applebee’s !

Phenomenal customer service and excellent food. Haley who seated us was bright and extremely friendly. Greg, our waiter, was charming, speedy and very attentive. The manager Jose came to our table and chatted with is for a short time to make sure things were to our liking. Everything about this visit was amazing! Never had such excellent service at an Applebee’s. Can’t wait to come back!

The best bacon cheeseburger ever. Meat is fresh, patty is big and the bun was perfect! Good job Applebee’s, we will be back!

Being unfamiliar with San Dimas, I let my boyfriend drag me here to satisfy a salad craving after all of the horribly unhealthy and completely delicious food we’ve been indulging in since on vacation.
I have to say some of the combo deals they have are absolutely amazing and very cost effective, which is great as some of the food is on the pricier side. Not having been to an Applebees in a million years, I was surprised when I saw that the prices were pretty on par with some of the nicer restaurants I’ve been to.
As for the food, it was just not good. I had a Caesar salad that was just drenched in dressing, and consisted of just lettuce and croutons, nothing to really make it exceptional. My boyfriend had chicken fingers with honey (they have a fancy name I don’t remember), which sounds amazing right? Fried chicken and honey? It was somehow gross. Soggy and the flavor was just odd and not what I expected at all.
Service was phenomenal. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the manager was walking around to ensure that everyone was having a good time and was happy. Exceptional service will keep everyone coming back. In my opinion, the food is pricey for the quality, but with their combo meals you get it down to an affordable price, for sure. It’s up to you from there whether or not you think the food is worth coming back for.

It seems to me that Applebee’s is going down hill. They say that new menu items are coming but it’s to late for me. I’m not directing it at the San dimas location but to all of them. The food just seems mediocre at best. However, I am going to knock the GM for the San Dimas. When asked about my experience, I told him that I wasn’t impressed. In fact, I’ll probably never eat at any Applebee’s again (based on my last 2 visits to different locations.) When he started to inform me of the changes that were going on with the menu, he wasn’t even looking at me but rather my date. Thought the rule of thumb was that males look more at males and females to females during a conversation when both sex is involved. I should take it as a compliment but he hardly took his eyes off her. I found it extremely rude and checked him on it, then left.
Applebee’s is done for me, go anywhere but there

I visited on Saturday night with my husband and the service was terrible. We were seated quickly and are orders were taken quickly. But,
–servers switched on us
–the manager Kris (I believe) came over several times but did not help once
–it took about three different times asking for a drink refill
–forgot part of our order (entrée) and it was so late we didn’t even want it because dinner was pretty much finished
–our meal was rang up incorrect but because they already took so much time on everything else and didn’t help us we just paid full price and got out of their.
Horrible.

Stopped here with my 2 kids on the day of this review. I ordered 3 drinks, a hamburger, a chicken wrap, and mac&cheese.
I’m sorry to the staff for bailing out, I left $ 10 for the drinks. I left because I don’t think I should wait ½ hour for simple «bar-​food».
Seriously, if this was a 4 or 5 star restaurant where everything is fresh, cool, ½ or more is ok. But let’s face it, everything here comes out of a boil bag and I am OK with that as long as it gets to my table fast.

Server, Manager, and the Food are #1 !
My wife and I visited Applebee’s in San Dimas Ca., a week ago, and had a great experience. Brett our server was so friendly and professional. Watching his polish, and his ability to make people smile and laugh as he visited other tables, was a pleasure. The Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos appetizers where Awesome ! The Oriental Chicken Salad Brett brought us, was cooked perfectly and was Delicious ! The walls of the restaurant were also great to look at, as they are decorated with historical pictures of the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball team, along with other sports and historical artifacts. We met the young manager Shawn as I told him how much we enjoyed Brett our server, and the food we were served. I also liked Shawn a lot more 2 days after we had left the restaurant, as I discovered I accidently had left my Visa Card on our table in the Restaurant check holder. I called Shawn at the restaurant and ask him if they had found my card, and he said yes. After my Big sigh of relief, I asked Shawn if he could mail the credit card to me as I lived in San Diego which was about a 3 ½ to 4 hour drive with traffic away from San Dimas. He said No problem, and in 2 days I received my credit card. Thank You Brett and Shawn for making our experience at your San Dimas Applebee’s a great one !
