So we’ve been in the drive through line for half an hour now since we ordered. There were only four cars in front of us and now we’ve been at the window for at least six or seven minutes… Ok so we gave up and went inside and once the rush was over the manager came around asking everyone how everything was and apologizing for the wait. Adding a star for that.

I’ve been currently waiting 10 minutes in the drive through for chicken tenders, don’t know if they are understaffed or just slow.

When you’re going to be driving for about 5+ hours, this is a great stop to make to fill up on some food, gas(before or after), and take a break. I’ve been here a couple times and I always found it to be pretty clean, things of working order, and with efficient service. Food seemed to be good for being a Carl’s Jr. I don’t usually like to have fast food, but as you have limited choices traveling up or down the I-5 this is a spot I do go to. I haven’t found this location to be super busy like the In-N-Out down the road, so that’s good. Everyone seemed friendly too. Parking lot is a decent size and of course you have the gas stations near by and the freeway to jump back on and on your way!

I am always a fan of Carl’s Jr burgers. Came to this one because I was on a road trip to see my grandmother. Ordered the Famous Star meal and everything was good. The Famous Star burger looked like it was well put together instead of just throwing the ingredients together. Fries were good and tasted fresh. Decent service from multiple workers. Overall this place is fine and will be back in the future.

I’ve never been down this stretch of I-5, having gone across to Bakersfield to Barstow. Having seen other choices along the way, there weren’t many choices. At this exit, there were many choices, and at the last moment, I saw Carl’s Jr on the north side of the road. It was a typical location: fairly clean, fairly efficient, and fairly friendly. If I could wish one thing it’s that they would offer the smaller items from Hardee’s – and the Mushroom Swiss Burger. I got my food very quickly, and without the mayonnaise that usually bothers me a little. They were polite both at the register and when they delivered my food. Since I was trying to make time, I didn’t finish much of it, which is mostly why I wish that they had smaller choices. Still, I love the taste.

This is just another dirty fast food place along the 5 freeway. I waited 20 minutes for fries. It set me back an hour on my journey to LA.

I ALMOST cried from the pain of food poisoning that I received from this place. But, hypothetically, if I did cry, the heat from my SCALDING fever would have proabbly sizzled away the tears. It would be as if I wasn’t crying at all! I’m pretty sure I can’t eat Carl’s Jr. ever again because my of expereince at this particular location. It’s cool though, I’ve had enough western bacon cheeseburgers to taste it from memory. Eat at the in-n-out instead.

customer service was on point… even with a full line & only 2 people running and taking orders(i’m sure there was at least 1 other person cooking). of course with that kind of busy i would expect the garbage to overflowing(which it was), but i’m sure when they are free they’ll tend to it. god how i miss the western bacon cheeseburger. yuuuuuuuuummmm!

Stopped here on our way back from San Diego to San Jose. The restaurant over all was fine. As clean as expected smack dab in the middle of no where. I would imagine the general customer base are travelers not locals since it’s right off the freeway and near several gas stations. Plenty of parking, friendly service, clean tables, clean bathrooms, you know … nothing above average. The nice employee that took our order was WAY to rehearsed in his greeting. I understand he’s trying to push new products on customers but if you’re in a line and behind several other folks placing their orders, you really don’t need to hear him yet again say«would you like to try our new Bacon Burger»? Or «Would you like to make that a meal for only $xxx more»? Poor guy, someone stop him before a customer relinquishes their road rage on him. My daughter and I each ordered the 3 piece chicken strips. These seemed to come out WAY after the folks even behind us got their order. The«strips» were very small, super hot and greeeeeeasy! I literally ate 2 and tossed the 3rd. I’m sure they were cooked to the Carl’s Jr. standard but ick. I was trying to make a healthier choice than the double bacon burger but after squeezing all that gross grease out when I bit into it, I would probably have been better off with the burger! Would I choose to stop here again? Probably not. There are a few healthier options near by to choose from.

This definitely isn’t the nicest Carls Jr. ever but it’s still pretty good. The service here is very good. I stopped in Kettleman City on my way to San Jose. It was nice to stop and bite into a delicious cod sandwich before getting back on the road for 2.5 more hours. If you’re near Kettleman city and you’re hungry, stop at this place.

If you need a break from I-5, want a decently clean bathroom, and crave solid fast food and service without the ridiculous long lines that are at McDonalds and gas stations at other stops, this is the Carl’s Jr to visit. The place was practically empty the evening we visited, the people at the cash register were friendly, and the burgers and sides were just what you’d expect from a fast food place — meaty, somewhat unhealthy, and fried deliciousness.

OK, so I know its weird to write a review on a fast food chain that everyone already knows and gets, however I wanted to write a review on this particular locatoin, because the staff was soooo nice and customer-service oriented. They are doing an incredibly good job considering the fact that they are in the middle of nowheresville and they are dealing with grumpy, tired travelers all day. I took a megabus trip and we stopped here. I know firsthand what kind of morons they have to deal with because I was on the bus with them. So kudos to them for being above it all!

We stopped here on our way to Pismo. I ordered the Swiss Bacon Chicken Burger to go and waited a solid 15 minutes for it. Thought this was fast food. I noticed the manager was trying to expedite our order but it really didn’t work… Instead of a chicken patty(or whatever the slab of chicken is called), I got two small chicken strips in my burger. What?! Not the same. Kudos to the manager for trying, but… for real. Get it together.

Well for starters… its Carls Jr. As a kid you are hopelessly addicted to it. It is horrible for you. Then as an adult you want it but you know better.(At least you should in my opinion.) I only write this review to say that the Jalepeño turkey burger, which I was kind of optimistic about, is vulgar. All these gimmicky burgers they have and the lack of their old fries have sealed the deal for me and Carls Jr. For the 2 – 3 times of year when I must have a Western Bacon Cheeseburger or that devilishly tempting breakfast burger I will go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend a McHeart Attack instead at least they have a decent $ 0.99 menu.

Hey for what it is, this place is awesome. I came on the Megabus on the way down from Oakland to Los Angeles and even though we had only a 10 minute break, this place was able to handle everybody’s orders within those 10 minutes. Quality of food is as good as any other Carl’s Jr around but main thing is that they’re quit and there’s no long wait for you food!

I go here every year on the way to San Francisco but this year I feel like I got jipped on my breakfast sandwich. This year, I got little to no egg in my sourdough. :(Customer service was still great but quality no bueno.

Since this is a fast food restaurant, there is not much that can be said beyond that, but here I go again… I will give it a try and see what comes out at the end. This Carl’s Jr. is one of many restaurants in the area, we like to make sure the places we do go to as well taken care of, and this Carl’s is one of those place, very clean and well taken care of. This is a good place to bring the family and have a hot meal especially when the weather is 100’s of degrees outside and when you need a rest from Interstate 5. The staff here is good, they will take your order and make sure to get it right, but just like anything when you have a human in the middle of the equation something can go wrong, so just make sure you verify your order before leaving, otherwise they are good and helpful. Also make sure you have some extra time, as this place does get busy with all the travelers during the weekend(during our recent visit we had to wait for 20 minutes just to place our order. We would like to say thank you to one family which also waited for 20 minutes too, and then when they placed their order they had no idea how to order anything, which added a few more minutes to our wait.) If you are expecting a 5 star restaurant, then you are coming to the wrong place, this is a fast food restaurant so do not expect more than that. This Carl’s is a good place to bring the family for a fast meal, but of course we lock the kids in the car, oops meant to say we let the kids stay in the car, lol.
