Excellent experience with Priority ER for the 3rd time after hours. I brought my 4 yr old son in for a possible broken arm. The staff was very professional and kind. There was no wait time. The X-ray my son had done was quick and they put him in a sling and we were out of there under an hour. My son was incredibly at ease as they made him special. I, myself, have been to Priority ER2x fr my own personal medical problems. We have never had a bad experience with any doctors. We always come to Priority ER after hours rather than going to the hospital ER where you could be there 4 hrs +. I’ve never had any issues with insurance billing. If you don’t understand your billing ask the staff for explanation and call your own insurance as well. We have a $ 100 co-pay for any emergency visit. Depending on what needs to be looked at may include X-rays, CT scans, other tests, pain meds administered, etc. Of course there are other charges for their equipment and time. This is not a free clinic. Understand your insurance rather than blaming the ER.

I visited Priority Emergency Room on 3÷3÷15. I saw Dr. Huynh, I came in for a migraine that had lasted for more than 4 days(which is not typical for me). I was hesitant going to an ER because they generally can be so expensive because I have an HMO policy I thought I’d have a huge patient responsibility or the very least my deductible of $ 1000.00. I received my explanation of benefits from Cigna this morning and of the almost $ 5,000.00 billed my insurance covered almost all of it. I’ve included a screen shot of that bill. Dr. Huynh was kind and very understanding of my condition. I do not care for needles(as most people do not) and my nurse Kasi, put in the IV just about pain free. I was seen quickly and started on medications to ease the pain within 15 min. I will use Priority Emergency room again. I forgot to add in my earlier post that the next day the nurse on duty called to check in and see how I was doing and to make sure the medications were working.

Do NOT ever take your child to Priority Emergency Room in Katy on Seven Meadows Parkway. Took My 20 month old there this morning at 2am cause she had 105.3 temp and shaking. Not only was Dr Carolyn Galloway not very friendly but she also misdiagnose my daughter. She said her ears are a little red and therefore has an ear infection and prescribed her antibiotics. I took my daughter to her peds today and her dr said she doesn’t have an ear infection and stop giving her antibiotics. Red ears doesn’t mean infection. Kids ears turn red for many reason like crying. It’s an infection if they have liquid in it. How can a dr practice medicine that doesn’t know how to spot an ear infection? I give this place 0 stars! Dr Galloway was also quick to look at her throat and said it was clear. Well it actually wasn’t and she had sores and actually has hand, foot and mouth which is highly contagious unlike an ear infection which is not at all. So if I had not taken her to to her dr she not only would have been taking the antibiotics for no reason but she would have spread her virus to other kids. I called to speak with manager and hoping to hear back about refund of my $ 200 co-pay and for them not to bill my insurance co. As it is serious liability on their part prescribing antibiotics to a toddler that doesn’t need it. I will follow up this review.

March 7th I had the hives, knew I needed a MEDROL dosepavk. I knew this was what i needed because i am a pharmacist. Ran in this Katy location and in and out in 10 – 15 min. I asked the coast of the visit, turned my insurance over to the desk person. They stated my cost was $ 100.00. I saw the doc, got the prescription and paid my $ 100.00 and left. Guess what– today I got two bills, one for $ 678.00 and a second for $ 172.23, with my orginal hundred dollars that equals aTOTAL OF $ 950.00. My miss lead or lied to me about the cost. Then when I call to complain they offered to cut the bill by 30%. SODONOTUSETHISPLACEUNLESSYOUGETTHETOTALPRICEINWRITTING. I wondered why I was the only patient in the building, now I know. This is the Katy location and feel free to call me Tom. 281−802−0802

Although I had a great experience here, be vary hesitant going if you are out of network for insurance. I have bcbs of Texas, one of the most common insurance carriers and Priority Emergency Room does not take it. Therefore we paid $ 200 out of pocket for a migraine and then got slapped with a $ 1700 bill on top of it. $ 1065.70 just to walk into this place. The staff was great & we were there a max of 2 hours. Just wish they had reiterated how expensive the out of network cost would be.
