The Dotte Spot Bar & Grill

Nearby my husband’s office so we stopped in for lunch one day last week — service was prompt and friendly, prices were reasonable and food was great — nothing fancy, but good straightforward bar food! We will definitely be back again soon.

So we’ve been there a few times now. The first time we weren’t too impressed with the service but the food was good. We have since been back several times. The service has improved and I like everything on the menu that I’ve tried so far. The turkey and Swiss is my favorite. They occasionally have wings on special and they are pretty good. They also have karaōke on Friday nights. Sunset is now our favorite little neighborhood bar.

Every now and again, I find myself working out of our Wyandotte County office. I love working there because right down the way is Sunset. It’s a true neighborhood joint, but very friendly and truly has the Dotte feel to it. Kin and the crew know the regulars and even if you are not a regular, they are going to treat you like you’ve been a patron for years.
Their burgers are great. Juicy and flavorful. I recommend the seasoned fries with it. They also make a pretty awesome plate of nachos. the have a Mexican menu featuring tacos and burritos. I have yet to order anything I did not like off their menu and their prices are seriously inexpensive. They also get high praise from me for their handling of an order error. They took care of it right away, no muss, no fuss.
Seriously stop in if you are down the 82^nd and Parallel way. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time though. Not because of service, that is lightning fast. Give yourself time to stay, relax, and make some new friends.
