The first time I walked in I felt like I walked into Cheers. The regulars have become like family. Dee and Teresa are ahhhhhhmazing! Home away from home. Drinks are priced great, pours are long and the food is great. Taco Tuesday is a big hit.

This is a great little neighborhood bar. No frills, no fuss, no muss… ok, it’s a dive, but it’s full of neighborhood brotherly love. It’s the kind of place where unlikely friendships are made. The crowd is eclectic, but quite harmonious. I’ve had many good times in here. The drink prices here are very reasonable and the food is surprisingly above par for a bar of this caliber. I’ve had at least 4 different bartenders wait on me here. Dee is by far the most experienced and the most guest conscious. She notices when you may need something extra or when you’re ready for your next drink before you have to ask. She is social yet attentive at the same time. The other bartenders… meh…take it or leave it. They give you pretty much the service you’d expect in a neighborhood dive. The TV’s are really small and out of date, but I get the feeling that sports on TV is just something to keep your attention here and there. I have never come in here and not been a part of a group conversation going on at the bar. These people are all here because it’s their home away from home, and they treat everyone they know like family. It’s a pretty cool experience. If you are near the Legends are and are tired of the corporate cookie cutter concepts, To The Hoop is just East of Legends on State Ave,. It’s a quaint little place with a good crowd and a gem in an unlikely neighborhood to deliver an atmosphere such as this. I like it!

We always drove by this place never giving it a second thought. It’s a little neighborhood sports bar. My boyfriend decided he wanted to give them a try because he heard they had good wings. It’s a really small place, nothing fancy. It’s clean, and the service was pretty good. The wings were pretty good, a little too spicy for me but my boyfriend enjoyed them. I also ordered a turkey bacon melt and fries, it was really good. They didn’t skimp on the cheese and the fries were really tasty. My boyfriend got a burger, he said it was really good. The beers were super cold and frosty. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Great atmosphere and a friendly crowd. Staff are awesome. Jessie will make you your favorite libation, while Chef Claude fixes some great food. His special is always sure to please. Don’t let the décor turn you away and miss this delicious value.
