Okay, on the plus side I’m not giving this store one star, although I think at times that’s the rating it deserves! A big plus to this Walgreens is the fact that it’s open 24 hours, which is a plus for those of us who wander around at all hours of the night! Most often the reason we come to this Walgreens is to utilize the pharmacy… many times we’re left shaking our heads in disbelief by how terrible the pharmacy is here. The pharmacy staff here is hit or miss… some days they are the nicest, friendliest, most helpful people in the world, and on other occasions(sometimes mere hours apart in visits), it’s like the staff has been infected by a not-so-rare in this location, disease known as Idontcareidis! Okay, I get that people have bad days, but isn’t part of your job to answer a phone when it rings??? How about not completely deleting a prescription out of the computer system? And if you do make a mistake, would it kill you to try to rectify the situation??? Well… apparently at this Walgreens it would! The only reason we continue to use this pharmacy is we know how big of a pain it will be to get them to switch my wife’s medications to another pharmacy! Avoid if you can!

This is where I get the majority of my prescriptions filled and I have a love/hate relationship with this Walgreens location. Sometimes I want to give them 5 stars and other times I want to give them 1 star. So, I settled on 3 stars to even it out. Yep, that’s my logic and I’m sticking to it. They are open 24⁄7. I’m a night owl so this is very convenient! The pharmacists: Some of them are amazing. They smile, don’t mind answering questions, etc. Then there are others who are downright nasty. 5 stars… 1 star… 5 stars… 1 star. The pharmacy techs: Some of them are amazing. They smile and are helpful. Then there are others who are downright nasty and don’t know their a$$ from a hole in the ground. 5 stars… 1 star… 5 stars… 1 star. The drive-thru: They have 2 lanes, but only one of them works. In the 2 years I’ve been using this pharmacy, only the 1 has worked. I have a feeling they have no desire to get the 2nd one fixed. Sometimes when I go through the drive-thru, it moves quickly, the person at the window is smiling and helping. Other times, the person is downright nasty. 5 stars… 1 star… 5 stars… 1 star. When it’s my turn at the window, I am ALWAYS told to pull around and come back through if my RX isn’t ready. Awesome, no problem! Ahhhh, but there is a problem. Other times when I’m at the drive-thru waiting in line, there has been a car in front of me sitting their with their engine off for 10, 15, even 20 minutes. Why aren’t they being told to pull around? How is this fair? 5 stars… 1 star… 5 stars… 1 star. Why do I feel like I’m repeating myself? There have actually been 2 separate occasions in the past 6 months when one of my doctors has called in an RX and some idiotic technician has DELETED my RX from the system! Do they call my doctor immediately to tell them about THEIR mistake and get the RX again so they can fill it? NO! Of course not! They are too busy to immediately correct their error and I have all but been told it’s my problem. I have to stay on top of them for hours! I have had to call my doctor’s office to explain the problem which just confuses them because they are like, «But we just called this RX in for you.» Sigh… Calling the pharmacy: Walgreens has this neat/annoying system. When you call your pharmacy, you get routed to a call center located in the middle of who knows where. Sometimes these people on the phones are friendly and helpful. Other times they are downright nasty and don’t know there a$$ from a hole in the ground. 5 stars… 1 star… 5 stars… 1 star. I’m still repeating myself! More on the Call Center: If I ask to speak to someone at MY pharmacy, they transfer the call and sometimes it goes through and sometimes I get hung up on. If I get hung up on, I have to call back and deal with the call center all over again. If the call goes through, 90% of the time, the people at my pharmacy just let it ring off the hook and never answer and the call eventually ends and I have to call and speak to someone at the call center again. Can I just tell the person at the call center to put me through to my pharmacy? NO! Of course not! I have to explain the reason I’m calling all over again. Do I even need to explain how much I abhor repeating myself over and over again?! This viscious cycle has literally gone on for 45 minutes and longer on multiple, multiple occasions! it generally makes me want to pull my hair out. I mean, how hard is it to pick up the damn phone at MY pharmacy and say, «Please hold.» I don’t particularly like being put on hold, but it’s better than the alternative. Every single time I have to call Walgreens I think, «Oh God, I have to call Walgreens.» Then this feeling of dread consumes me. It’s especially tortuous for me because, unfortunately, I have to take a lot of prescription medication. I’m forever needing something refilled and every time I do call to get refills or have to have something called in from a doctor, I’m thinking, «What in the world are they going to screw up this time?» It never fails that they usually screw up at last one of my prescriptions. Every.Single.Time. Why do I continue to use this pharmacy? Because it’s open 24 hours. Because they have all but 2 of my prescriptions on file. Because it’s Walgreens, that means ALL Walgreens in any state has access to my prescriptions. And because it’s closest to my house. When I move in a couple of months, I will be SOFREAKIN’ HAPPY I NEVERHAVETOUSETHISWALGREENSAGAIN! It’s pretty sad when my pharmacy raises my anxiety level so high I actually have to take a Xanax! Yes, this has absolutely happened in the past! I am actually finding myself getting annoyed just writing this review, so I will end it now! But not before dropping my rating from a 3 star down to a 2 star. Writing the review has made me realize I hate them much more than I love them!
