I have driven all the way over here three times this week when Unilocal said you were open, and three times this week there has been a stupid paper stuck to the door with sharpie writing were closed today. Next time update Unilocal or post a tweet or let somebody know so they don’t drive all the way over here for no reason. I would love to give you a really awesome rating for your food, but given that I’ve tried three times and haven’t had a chance to taste anything yet I can only write your service, which is right now a big fat one star. Such a disappointment.

Just moved here from California… need I say more? Where oh, where, can I find good Mexican or even quasi-Mexican food in this town? The cooks here had to hunt down the corn tortillas ’cause they mostly use flour tortillas. Folks, don’t forget the gluten intolerant like me, but neither be remiss about the yucky flavor of those preservative-filled, cellulose gummy things they bought at the corner market… Ugh… Shrimp was juicy and flavorful, but the so-called taco was just a jumble of romaine, shredded cheese, and bland sauce… Speaking of bland: What’s up with the listless, rude, impolite, impatient cashier? Last time, I thought he might be having a bad day, but again tonight? He barely looked at, nor even cracked a smile at me nor any of the other customers, and he POINTS to the napkins, rather than speak. Really? It seems popular with the surfer dudes, but they’d appreciate some effort, I’m sure.

Definitely looking forward to the new burrito gallery opening soon. I’ve eaten here before and it was good. I typically get the cajun shrimp and fish tacos which are tasty. I tried the chips and guacamole dip tonight and was disappointed — chips stale and guac tasted bland and old. Maybe they need a fresh start… no pun intended.

Stop by to try a fish taco and chips and queso. Chips were ok, queso was ok, green salsa was great. Large group in front of me, so my wait was like 30 minutes for a fish taco. When I got it it was the fish was cold. Man I miss San Diego! The cashier was cool he offered me a second taco but that took another 15 minutes. They get a lot of orders over the phone I understand, but if you have a customer in store waiting for a fish taco that takes 1:30 seconds to make. I must say that when I finally got my taco it was pretty good. But the wait

I know this is an express location but just get take out only as way too cramped seating. Food was yummy but a real hole in the wall.

We had the spicy shrimp taco and chorizo taco. Both were stuffed with plenty of fresh ingredients and these rocked!!! We also had a large chicken burrito with your choice of pinto or black beans and a chicken quesadilla. More delicious goodness. Everything is Fresh!!! They come with spicy salsa/coleslaw on side. The flavors were five star. Its a hole in the wall next to a laundromat but worth finding! Also the prices were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food you receive! Many locals eat here and you should too!!!

The cárnitas burrito is delicious. We also tried their homemade salsa verde, chips and guacamole and we were pretty impressed. The staff is very friendly as well and can’t complain about their food portion.

This is my go-to spot for a quick Burrito. I love supporting a local small business(which I believe is given it’s a subsidiary of Burrito Gallery downtown), so I’m all about this vs. Chipotle. The food is very quality, their prices are reasonable, and the portions are above average. I have had the steak, chicken, and shrimp burritos and was impressed by all three. Especially the Shrimp. I was a little sketched out by getting seafood from a «hole-in-the-wall» Mexican spot, but it was fresh and the Shrimp were nice and fat. I will continue to go here at least once/week as long as I live in JAX Beach and hope to get a chance to eat at Burrito Gallery downtown at some point soon. Keep up the good work boys! Oh, also… please continue to stock up on that Mango hot sauce. Thank you.

My regular lunch place. Can’t beat the $ 5 burrito lunch special, best burrito’s at the beach!

Gross! Do not come here if you are in search of authentic Mexican food. From the salsa to the burritos. Everything is very bland and lacking flavor. Customer service was excellent though!

Great place for very well prepared tacos etc near the beach. Entrees made fresh to order, so you have to wait a few minutes, but it’s worth it! We were given extra guacamole for our wait, which was excellent, as was the salsa. The atmosphere is a little hippie(it’s attached to a laundromat) — if that bothers you get carry-out.

It’s great to have this little place so close to my house. I often forget it’s there though because it is so small and not a place you would usually stay to eat. Getting to-go from here and taking it to the beach or back to your house is ideal. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Their guacamole is also really good, along with several of their menu items that I have tried. They don’t have the same menu as the downtown location, or the same hours, but in my opinion they have everything I need. I usually get the teriyaki tofu burrito, veggie burrito or quesadillas. Last time I ordered, I got the veggie quesadilla and asked them to add black beans. When I went to pick up my order, the chef complimented me on the idea of adding black beans to their veggie quesadilla and said he was going to make that a lunch special later in the day. That made me feel good because being vegetarian, I often feel like I am having to modify menu items and it’s nice to know someone appreciated it rather than felt annoyed. I’ll definitely be frequenting this place more now that I am only a few blocks away.

So im siked about always trying new places to see how they compete. So some friends mentioned that Burrito galleria was better than chipotle! Went in only to be waited after the cook took an order then a girl with a neon shirt and purple hair gave a bland hello to their spot. I mentioned what i wanted wasnt asked if i wanted a certain bean or asked if i wanted any other fixings. So i ordered then walked across the street. Came back and watched to staff. The girl kept scratching between her legs didnt even wash her hands after the many attempts of scratching her inner thighs. Mind you there is a sink right behind the cashier. So anyway got a grilled chix burrito with gauc. Now i must say guac is supposed to be a light creamy green. My guac was dark brown as if they mixed and let sit out. Chips were salted wayy too much! Now would i recommend? Hell no. Sorry!

Don’t get be wrong, this place is not bad at all. That being said, this is an average burrito. The portion size is very fair(considering the price) but there is far too much rice/beans compared to the amount of meat. The tacos are okay, but again, not anything special. Ambiance is cool, but inside is very small.

I have been here several times due to the close proximity to my home. I love these guys! They are very laid back and the food is great. It’s kind of a hipster hang out but it has a beachy feel to the place and the burritos are HUGE! Good bang for your buck and definitely better than chipotle!

It was an okay burrito … Not the best but not the worst. I had the carnitas burrito with pinto beans. Unilocal said it closed at 9:00 pm but I showed up at 9:45 on a Thursday and they were very much open. It was a good joint. I’m from out of town from Phoenix so I have a different expectation of Mexican food and a burrito, so my review is biased. To me the place was nice and small, definitely for locals. I was staying at the Hampton on the beachfront so it was in distance for late night munchies. The best way I can describe it is like a chipotle with a Hipster vibe. It did the job in curing my hunger. I gave it three stars for the chipotle taste and no available salsa for takeout.

So I’ve never eaten at the OGBG downtown, but I do enjoy this location, what I assume is the little brother. BGE is my go to spot while my clothes dry next door at the lint trap. My favorite thing I’ve tried here is the curry chicken burrito. It’s not an extremely spicy curry, mostly turmeric based from what I’ve been told. It’s a very unique flavor to be intermingled with tradition burrito toppings. BGE nails it here. The tacos are all pretty tasty as well, though I’ve only had the shrimp variety. If you don’t have time to kill I would advise calling in your order. It’s a small operation with maybe 3 people working at any given time. I’ve waited 15 minutes for my food some times. Other times it only takes 5 minutes. It’s also worth noting that there’s only like 3 tables in here and some bar seating. Getting it to go might be the best bet.

Pleasantly surprised! I found this as a recommendation from Unilocal and luckily someone had posted a photo of the exterior or I never would have found it. The teal color and taco painting saved the day! Lol Honestly, if it didn’t have 4 stars on Unilocal and some amazing photos I would have kept driving. Sooo glad I stopped. I had the Cajun shrimp taco and a Cajun fish taco for about $ 6. Amazing! Talk about gourmet tacos in a little tiny place. There are literally three tables and a small bar for seating but the food was amazing!

I am a big fan out this little version of one of my downtown favorites. Burrito gallery express serves up some really good tacos. The carnitas is spot on — the pork is so tender, with just the right amount of heat. Salsa verde and a squeeze of lime? I’m a happy man. The shrimp and fish tacos are good as well, but the carnitas is where it’s at. My only gripe with the tacos is that they are only served on flour tortillas. Uncooked flour tortillas taste like elmer’s glue — especially if you get the order to go and they get soggy. I really wish they would offer corn tortillas here. The burritos are ok. They are huge and packed with rice, but if you are really hungry this might be your thing. I’ve never finished one. The sides are good. I love the slaw that they serve with your tacos. I think I could literally live off of this coleslaw. I ate 5 cups once with a burrito and fell asleep for two hours. I would highly recommend doing that.
