We called ahead to see how long they served dinner and they said until 9:45 and we got there at 9:20 and the said the kitchen was closed and gave us a limited menu with like 8 items. The bar tender said he didn’t know why they wouldn’t serve us; that it usually is open till 9:45. It was extremely upsetting. I will not return. There were people all round us who had not received their food and were continuing to be waited on and receive their food around us while we had a drink. Luckily we found somewhere that doesn’t lie to their patrons abt times to have a lovely dinner. And your staff missed out on a big tip. I hope you realize that giving false information is unfortunate and a good way to loose customers.

Right in the heart of Jacksonville Beach this jewel of a place had me at hello! My favorite here is the Shrimp Ceviche. The tacos are hard to beat as well. The staff is great! They always have drink specials and a lot of Margarita choices. The atmosphere is lively as you can enter from the beach as well as the street. Live music can be found here as well. It is great for a Sunday afternoon or to start your evening or day at the beach. It’s a good place to party late night too. Love this place!

I enjoyed the atmosphere and food it was busy so it took a bit long for the food to come out but it was worth the wait. I had the fajita quesdilla with chicken it was good. I love the live music as well.

I’m here… A LOT!(And I forget to check in because I’m distracted by all the goodness!) Mainly for the live music on weekends! My favorite local band– The Band Be Easy plays here weekly! But as an added bonus, I love that the Pier gives me that«I’ve been transported to an island feel!» When I’m feeling beachy, this here’s my spot! My friends and I literally race past the hostesses at the front door, so I can’t speak to their service or if they even greet me– don’t have a clue, doesn’t matter! But I can say that the bartenders are kind– love the polished #BeardGang bartender best– don’t know his name, he’s just #BeardGang! Better still, after dancing the evening away, I love that I can go upstairs and dine! The roll up windows upstairs are perfect, and OMG– The View! The water. The EVERYTHING! The salsa is oh-so-good and the tacos are great as well! Needless to say, I’m a fan! «I’m Juliet and I approve this message!»

Tacos were great and salad were great HOWEVER the drinks were not good. Weak bartender. We were on vacation and went on a Monday afternoon for lunch and drinks. There was also a hair in one of the salads so they had to remake it. Disappointed

I was not expecting much. Beach side places will always have business so they don’t have to be stellar. But it was great! we sat upstairs facing the ocean(fabulous view). Our food was outstanding and every time any staff member walked by they asked how we were doing(almost tedious by the end, but at least we weren’t ignored). Good vibes, views and grub. We will be back.

Want the beach bar experience? Pier is the fun place to be. Live bands and outdoor seating with a beach view. The food is mediocre nothing special. I ordered the beef chimichanga and wasn’t impressed at all… actually I was pretty disappointed. Only thing I can really say is it’s a cool hang out spot

This place is definitely odd. Decent food during the day and a dance club at night. Very weird, but then it sort of fits right into Jax Beach. The whole area is filled with eclectic people ranging from incredibly wealthy to homeless. The Pier has been around a long time versus its competitors who come and go so they must be doing something right!

Really good food and great service. I enjoyed the atmosphere and felt very comfortable. Service can be a little spacey but their bathrooms are clean, prices are fair enough, and their patio is right on the boardwalk with views of the beach. I would say the view was the best part.

I’m pretty sure Comcast has better customer service than this place. We came in yesterday as a party of 20+ for a friends birthday and brought balloons and a cake for the birthday girl. They were handed to the hostess upon arrival, and come time to bring out the cake, the balloons were missing. We asked someone about the balloons and was told that they didn’t know where they went. Umm. Ok. Asked a 2nd person and was told pretty much the same thing. Ok Pier. We’ve identified a problem and have expressed that problem to two of your staff members, so what are you going to do to fix it? Is anyone going to look for the balloons? Is anyone going to try to figure out where they went? Apparently not. So we asked a 3rd person, who I think may have been the manager, and even offered up a possible scenario by asking if they could have flown out the window? Finally, he said that he «thinks» that one of the servers«might» have thought they were leftover from last night and disposed of them, apologized, and walked off. Really?! That’s it? I mean, ok, they’re just balloons, but the point is that they were purchased and brought in by guests at your restaurant. Could you at least pretend to care? Or could you at least acknowledge that a member of your staff lacked the capability to process that those«happy birthday» balloons might belong to that party of 20+ people sitting 10 feet away who just happen to be celebrating a birthday? Come on now. Anyways, I wish I could end the review with the balloons, but unfortunately the rest of lunch was just as big of a disaster. Drinks were slow, orders were lost, checks were messed up, one of the food runners pants were sagging so low that it made me question if it was even sanitary to eat anything he was holding. The overall experience made me think that the entire staff was mass hired off the street, this was their first job, and that they forgot that they were working in a SERVICE industry at a restaurant. I swear, eating there made me want to call Comcast and apologize for ever complaining about their horrible customer service, because they pale in comparison to the Pier…

Can’t wait to visit The Pier again when I’m back in town! The location is perfect. Catch some sun, a cool breeze off the water, and plenty of locals to add to the atmosphere! The staff is extremely friendly and quick to make a suggestion. We showed up for a mid-week lunch to catch up with family. The beers started flowing as did the good times. They were serving Corona Light on tap(whaaaat) for $ 3.50(whaaaaaaaaat). Had a few of those bad boys. Finally moved onto the food portion of the day and grabbed some tacos. Three tacos seemed the right number and with the most expensive taco coming in at $ 4 it seemed like the right call. I went with the mahi taco, the shredded chicken taco, and the carnitas taco. Had a hard time picking my favorite as each one hit me perfectly! I recommend ordering multiple and see if you can choose a favorite! I believe I have found my new spot at the beach! Can’t wait to get after the rest of that menu. Do yourself a favor and check out The Pier the next time you’re in the neighborhood…

This place has a nice vibe and my table had a nice waitress. There was nice music and outdoor seating, which was enjoyable. The food was pretty good, and the aps were good. The chips came out warm! I got the surf and turf taco, which was quite interesting. The shrimp was covered in a sauce that tasted similar to yogurt, which put me off a little. I have a very sensitive tongue, so this had spice, but for a person with a normal sensitivity, it wouldn’t be too spicy. There are free refills on sodas, so I got a Sprite or two. The alcohol looked enjoyable for someone over 21! The Shirley Temple that I had at first was very tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my experience! Plus, it is in a great location! I loved just getting out of our table and going on a walk on the pier! Especially around this time, since Deck The Chairs was going on. Also, the food exceeded our expectations for such a low price! If you have time in your day, definitely go here. It is not to be forgotten!

The good olé Pier. so much could be said but I will try & keep it brief. Timing is absolutely everything with the Pier. I have been tons of times & my experience has been totally different every time I have gone depending on the day and time. For starts if you are looking to have a nice, quiet dinner looking at the calm ocean view do NOT& I repeat do NOT go on the weekends late in the evening. During the day & early evenings the Pier is a normal restaurant but during the late evening and on weekends it becomes a huge bar scene. Back in my prime going out days(like last year) every Sunday everyone always went to Lemon Bar during the day and then close to 5 or 6pm everyone piles over to the Pier. They often have a band and normally are very good. The Band Be Easy is a popular local band that play there often. As far as the food, I am a huge fan. As soon as you sit down you are welcomed with some complimentary chips & salsa. I normally always stick with my go to the fajita nachos under the appetizers for $ 10.99. It is far from an appetizer unless you are sharing with other people because it is a lot of food! Basically it’s nachos piled up with chicken, shrimp and steaks with some grilled onions, peppers and tomatoes mixed in and covered with queso on top. It’s super yummy! They also have Taco Tuesday where all their tacos are only $ 2.50 each. My personal favorite is the Surf & Turf Taco. It is a flour tortilla with shrimp and steak topped with avocado and sriracha sauce. I am not a fan of avocado so I usually ask for it without. They also have beer & usually some type of liquor special throughout the week depending on when you go. The normal price of beer ranges from $ 3.50-$ 5.50 unless you want a margarita than you are looking more around the $ 7-$ 9 range. Overall, I always have a great time when I visit the Pier and it does have a great view of the ocean!

Great location right on the beach & incredible drinks! Our service was very attentive as well. We just went for drinks after dinner, so I didn’t have the food, but it looked good. I had one of the two signature drinks, the pier pressure. It was a fruity concoction of various fruits pineapple juice and rum. One sip was all it took to make me feel like I was actually on the beach! And my $ 7 drink came in a souvenir cup that I got to take home! So it was a win all around! I also tried the jalepeno margarita and it was excellent! Not too much heat to it, but plenty of flavor.

Jesus was no carpenter! He is in Jacksonville FL Beach making tacos! I was an atheist until i ate tacos here. Experienced a god like taco only Christ could of made! Hands down the best tacos Ive ever had in my entire 44 years. Order the surf and turf taco, you will also experience heaven as well as grilled shrimp, amazing skirt steak and avocado, adorning these beautiful and biblical ocean dividing, walk on water street style tacos. Be warned! Your beliefs will be forever changed!!!

It’s a 5 star view with 1 star food and 1 star service. When I think of the flavors of Mexico, I don’t think of «cajun chicken» being part of my dish. Come here to drink and watch the surf and skip the food.
