I’ve only been once and it was on a Thursday night in the bar area. Lucky for us they offer crazy $ 7 deals on a wide variety of apps on Thursdays. Seriously, full size appetizers for 25−50% off. Service was solid, present but not over the top. The ambiance is upscale but not stuffy. I’d gladly come here again when in town. Especially convenient if you’re staying at Hotel Derek.

Man, Man, Man! No complaints on this end. The service was incredible from the beginning until the very end. Came here on a date with a guy friend. He was late(TURNOFF, I’m supposed to be the late one), so I made myself comfortable in the chairs near the host stand. The hostesses were friendly and extremely polite. When he FINALLY did arrive, we were seated almost immediately. On a Monday night, it was a fairly nice crowd. Most of them being in the bar area! I had a Knockout Martini. It was yum! Strong hints of Pineapple which I loved! We started with the raw oysters — for him, and he enjoyed them. Next came our salads — one was a wedge salad and mine, a caesar salad. Can we say delicious? Finally our entrees came! I had the Salmon with asparagus and mashed potatoes. He had a steak. Yum. Our waiter was the highlight of our night! His menu knowledge was superb and he offered outstanding service, without being too overbearing. Food: 4⁄5 Environment: 5⁄5 Service: 10⁄5 I received a thank you card by Thursday from our waiter and it made me smile. Kudos to whoever is over operations at Sullivan’s! This place is awesome. I shall be back!

This is a place the normally provides a consistently good dining experience. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The cocktails are also very nice. My personal preference is the knockout martini since I am a big fan of pineapple. This cocktail is simple, top shelf vodka and natural pineapple juice, very good for a refreshing start. The steaks are great. My personal preference at this place is the ribeye, very juicy and cooked to order. I have never gone wrong with a medium rare ribeye at this place. Also, the sides are a hit, I normally go with the mac and cheese, asparagus and spinach with cream. List of wine is very extensive. Great place to come and have a great dining experience.

I enjoy the food, drinks and service at Sullivan’s. Their HH is every Thursday and Sunday and it makes for a good time. It’s usually rather crowded a lively on Thursdays, Sundays are much more low-key. Definitely worth checking out a time or two.

I went here for a team building dinner. So, in short, «free» food! Should always be good right? Service — can’t complain. It was a special room for us, so i can’t tell you how the service really is for regular diners. Environment — can’t complain again. Bathrooms were clean, but we had a ceiling leak water onto one of our tables. They responded promptly. Food — pretty darned good! Wow! Again, this was all pre-ordered for us so we didn’t have much of a choice and with the«adult» beverages, I don’t remember much. The only items I remembered from the night were the spicy ahi tuna and macaroni and cheese. I will just say wow. They were both so tasty and delicious; however, I have to keep my «figure» [to be less of a round shape :)]. I don’t remember the dessert or the appetizer, so I’m assuming it was nothing memorable. Will I go back? I think it’s too expensive for my wallet. If I want a fancy dinner for myself and wife as a date night, MAYBE. Overall, good experience, a bit expensive based on what I was told about cost, and good environment for something intimate. If you’re in the area, give it a try and decide for yourself!

I’m a little surprised to see that this only has 3.5 stars. I had one of the best meals of my life here. My Dad and I came for an early dinner so it hadn’t gotten to crowded yet. The food was really good, cooked well and tasty. The Potatoes are amazing, and my filet was perfect. We had a glass of wine with our food and an appetizer that was to die for as well. But what really sold me on this meal was the service. You know the service is well when they don’t hover around you or stay and chat too long. Our server was very very attentive and made sure to answer all of our questions very promptly. They were very good about allowing us to enjoy our experience, I didn’t feel rushed once to hurry and eat. They would let us finish a course and then take our plates and then wait a few minutes before bringing out the next course. Which allowed for great uninterrupted conversation. The ambiance is very nice, low lighting, quiet, white table cloth, you feel very fancy but also very cozy. I felt like I was in the 30’s or 40’s and I just can’t express how much I enjoyed that meal. Good job, Sullivan’s!

Came to Sullivan’s for HRW during lunch for a friend’s birthday, and what a great choice it was. The service and atmosphere were very fine, and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the medium-rare filet mignon and it was one of the best I’ve had. Very soft, juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I can’t remember the sauce I chose, but it was whichever was the most popular at the time. It paired very well with the meat. The key lime pie was also the best I’ve had and the most flavorful! I’m not a fan of key lime pie but I’d go back to Sullivan’s just for this dessert :)

Sullivan’s is ok. I went here for Houston restaurant week, and it was what was expected and nothing more. I got a Cesar salad that tasted good, but wasn’t anything special at all. The filet was cooked well, but even with the Gorgonzola butter, it didn’t wow or excite me at all. Finally, the key lime pie was good, but honestly could’ve been shipped in and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference on this one. The service was good, even though the waiter quite literally chastised me for picking a filet, actually kind of made fun of anyone who didn’t choose the New York strip. If you’re looking for a nice dinner at a typical steakhouse, Sullivan’s is your place. If you want something good, special, etc., choose somewhere else. This is a cookie cutter experience.

Both service and food were up to par, yet not impressive; price was high, as expected. The parents who both had the summer fling(lobster+filet mignon) seemed to like the food; for $ 45, it was a such good fling! The boyfriend who had the 12oz NY Strip didn’t like his entrée though because he wanted the fatty ribeye steak but I made him order off of the HRW dinner menu that offered only the NY Strip; he was on diet to shed weight and not supposed to consume fatty meat anyways! I had the fundy salmon that tasted just bland *shrugs* We wanted to order a side that we could share so the server suggested that the mashed potato was phenomenal; some might think that the mashed potato was good but I would say that the server had lied to me *grrrrrr* What we had enjoyed the best was the eggroll appetizer and the soups. The eggrolls were crunchy and filled with ooey gooey cheese; loved it! Lobster bisque had a hint of wine, Sherry perhaps, which was just good and not overpowering, and a couple of very small shrimp/lobster bits were found in this scrumptious creamy soup, YAY! Atop the French onion soup was a huge slab of baked cheese, man oh man! i loved that cheese! The desserts that we had chosen off of the HRW menu were the chocolate torte and banana foster bread pudding, and YES! Both were delicious! The torte was not too sweet so Dad, on the very close edge of getting diabetes, liked it a lot, and the bread pudding had made my sweet tooth very happy and totally satisfied.

My husband and I have been to quite a few steakhouses, this by far is the leader! The décor, ambiance was lovely. Table setting nicely done. The waitress was so accommodating and friendly, I believe her name was Alisha. She explained certain items well. My dinner was the salmon. It was perfection at best as was the green beans! The Chardonnay was light and slightly fruity. An all around delight!

I’ve been to this location several times for dinner. It’s a nice ambience with great food, great service from the waiters and great drinks. If you like martini’s, try the blueberry lemon drop. It’s my absolute favorite! On this visit, I had the summer fling promotional dinner which had half live main lobster with filet mignon. I added their whipped garlic mash potatoes with horseradish and grilled asparagus for sides. Their lump crab cake is phenomenal as well. My spouse and I always enjoy dinner there. Valet parking is also available.

Sullivan’s did not disappoint! I’ve been meaning to dine here, but for some reason, I always go to my usual steak houses. I dined during hrw, so if my experience was disappointing, it was for a good cause. Needless to say, the filet mignon is PERFECT. I asked for my filet well done, and it was cooked to perfection. Some people believe well done is dry and unflavorful, and that is because you had a cook preparing your food and not a chef(big difference). Anyone can go into a kitchen and cook, but a chef knows the depths of his or her ingredients and the quality which they are cooking. My filet mignon was juicy, very tender, and full of flavor. It was so good and complimented with the garlic butter(For an additional fee) perfectly and mash potatoes and green beans. The service was amazing and the entire dining experience made a lasting impression. Sullivan’s is on the top of my steakhouse list next time I want a good steak. In my opinion, Sullivan’s topped Pappa’s Steakhouse based on my previous experience. I will return, and I mean soon!

I love coming here for lunch, I typically sit at the bar because I come here by myself, most customers that frequent Sullivan’s during the lunch hours are business people, they actually have quite a few rooms in the back that can accommodate large groups of people so it’s perfect for business presentations etc. But going back to what I was saying lunch is awesome there, I usually get a 6oz filet that comes with an amazing side of horseradish mashed potatoes! I also add the Caesar salad which completes a perfect lunch! The filet itself tastes awesome and has plenty of texture. And as far as prices go it only costs $ 24 for a Caesar salad, a filet with mashed potatoes and beans… that’s a pretty good deal!

Superb food, outstanding service, excellent list of single malts and wines, and fine dinning on a level that I can feel solid in my decision to take my wife here for the NYE dinner they offered. We walked in 20 minutes before our reservation, and were told that they would seat us shortly. It was NYE, and they were quite busy, so we grabbed a table in the bar expecting a long wait. We barely had time to chat with the friendly waitress in the bar before we got our drinks and were seated. I wasn’t very happy with the small two person table we got, but the place was quite full. It turned out that the table didn’t matter. It made the experience a little closer, and since it was the first NYE that my wife and I have had without kids, that was a good thing. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and refined. We got a recommendation for a wine from the manager, got some tasty bread, and then started into the 4 course NYE meal. The appetizers we chose were the cheesestake eggrolls and the lump crab. The lump crab was great, but those eggrolls were some kind of unexpectedly tasty treat! It was like taking the best bar food and rolling it up into an elegant package. We are fans :-) At this time, we realized that we needed to pace ourselves to get through all four courses. The salads came, and I got the Wedge. Oddly it did not come with bacon on it. It was of a size that it would be a meal in and of itself(as was my wife’s Cesar salad). I did my best not to eat it all… We both got the Filet. Her’s was to be medium rare, and mine medium. The steaks came exactly to specification with a side potato and cream corn. The potato was prepared at the table with sour cream, butter, and bacon. We did our best after the big starters had already filled us up. When it came to dessert, we did our best with sharing a chocolate mousse that isn’t on the normal menu, and boxed up a piece of NY style cheesecake. There was no hurrying us, and after dinner, our glasses continued to get filled. We corked the last of the wine, and took a bag of wine and cheesecake back to the hotel. The valet had us in line behind about 5 other couples who where shivering from the cold while we thought the cool night air refreshing after the meal. Certainly it was a pleasant change from the 8 degrees it was back home. There is a Sullivan’s back home, that we are now sure to try after such a wonderful memory of fine dinning here in Houston!

I AMVERYBIGONTHESERVICE I EXPERIENCEATPLACES. I absolutely love the service here at Sullivan’s. Everyone is awesome. The waitress was wonderful, patient, & thorough. Now the food. The sweet potato casserole side was delicious. They are seasonal though. Crab cake was also good. The calamari was a delicious treat. I really enjoyed that dish. Finally, I am not a big steak eater, but the FILETMIGNON6OZ with Garlic Horseradish Mashed Potatoes & Bordelaise was good also. I will be back & once again, I love the service here. I have always gotten A+ service when I eat here.

$ 7 happy hour — can’t be beat !! Try the moonshine cocktail — unique, original and delicious. Kale dip was nice, bruscetta was good — tuna nachos — ok – tuna tasted a bit off, but otherwise it was ok — probably would pass on it next time. I will agree that there are several ‘working ladies’ there — from 20’s to well past at least 65 — but they were obviously ‘working’.
