A little disappointing… the restaurant was under a remodel when we visited so we were seated in the bar area… the décor reminded me of Luby’s… the waiter was nice and but barely came around for any refills… we ordered calamari as an appetizer and it came out burnt to a crisp and yet cold… had to send it back… my filet mignon was delicious but a bit salty and the sides were good too. Overall, way too pricey for the quality of food and ambiance.

I had the 7 oz filet with mash potatos and brocoli. When did steaks go through the roof? It’s in the Shearaton Suites hotel near the Galleria. Service was good, even though we were like the only people there. Steak was great, but not for $ 27.

I ate breakfast there and the food was fine; the typical hotel breakfast. The waitstaff was friendly. But there was one problem. The menu lists the buffet as $ 12.95 and lists it as a continental breakfast. When I got to the buffet it also had hot items I didn’t expect — eggs, two kinds of potatoes, pancakes, bacon, sausage, quiche. While it says this nowhere on the menu, if you get any one of the warm items, they charge you about $ 5 more. $ 20 for breakfast that was nothing remarkable. Just around the corner in either direction is a Le Madeline and a Panera. I would recommend either of those places over this. Oh! And the worst part about the experience was the manager who gave poor excuses and no good explanation for only having the cheaper buffet on the menu. In the end she blamed the waitstaff. Up to that point in the experience I had been only mildly annoyed. But after trying to have a constructive conversation with the manager left there quite dissatisfied.

This is an old school hotel restaurant. Service was great; our waiter was very attentive and recommended the perfect glass of vino to accompany our meals. I ordered a basic filet mignon with mashed potatoes and a side of broccoli and side salad. The steak and potatoes were very good. I loved the salad, but that might have been more because I was craving greens and veggies and it felt really good just to eat them after a long day of travel and being forced to eat processed airport grub. The biggest issue with this place is the broccoli. Let’s put aside the fact that an entire broccoli head was on my plate instead of florets making it a cumbersome nightmare. No, I think the part that was most galling was that it was scorched due to being over-steamed and had turned brown/light yellow in most areas. I attempted to take a bite just to try it… uh, not remotely fresh. This was disgusting. My dining partner had the exact same experience and also left hers untouched.

This is a very solid hotel steakhouse to have in the hotel when you are staying there. Would I travel to come here? No. Would I come here if I lived in the area? No. But it was a really nice place to have a drink and a steak after coming in for a business trip. I had a filet, which was good. Not great, and it was def overseasoned and salty compared to what I like from top steakhouses. As far as chain steakhouses, it’s below the level of upper middle end chains like Mortons/RC. I also had a burger the next night which was very good, and cooked nicely. Prices were reasonable, and service was good. House wine was a + as well. Overall, if you are staying in the hotel, it’s a fantastic option for some food. However, if you want to venture out to the galleria,(10 min walk, 2 min cab ride), there is a Del Friscos, which needless to say, tramples all the competiion in the area(Mortons, RC, Omaha)

Ok, so given other reviews I was ready for this to suck, but my friends, it was a solid«meets expectations +». Staying at the Sheraton, and if I had it to do again, would eat here again rather than brave the Houston rain /humidity / Chopped salad was fine… think of Ruth’s Chris except no palm hearts, tons of olives, and eh dressing. But solid. Steak(12 oz filet) actually quite good. Yangfan — they added seasoning to the steak since you ate here. Plenty of flavor in my filet. Service was fine, though think they seemed a little surprised to have a customer.

Staying at the Sheraton was decided to try this place out for their steak. That was a mistake. Didn’t feel like the steak of neither marinated or seasoned, as it was pretty bland. Would not recommend this steakhouse nor would I eat here again. Service was okay since there weren’t too many people in the restaurant.

I was attending a conference next door at the Intercontinental and we came here for dinner. There was 12 of us. The waiter came and only took drink orders from 5 us. Hello! We chased him to place the rest of our drink orders. That should have been our tip to get up and leave. I ordered the 12 oz New York Strip for $ 29.95, medium rare. When my steak arrived, the mashed potatoes and broccoli were barely warm, but I was so tired and hungry I didn’t want turn it back. I had also ordered the Cesar’s salad with extra anchovies. The waiter nodded his head, but when the salad arrived, there were no anchovies on it. Others in our party also complained about the quality of food and service. Being a large party, we were forced to give an 18% gratuity when half of that would have been about right.

I hosted a family dinner party for 15 at the restaurant. They were exceptional about providing us seating us in a somewhat private area of the restaurant. Our party ordered a wide spectrum of foods from lamb to salads and each one pronounced their food excellent. The chef provided us with a special appetizer which was extraordinary and the service provided was impeccable. Several of us also ate breakfast there the next morning and it was also very good with good service.

Bleh. Nothing short of an average steakhouse.

It’s the mediocre experience of home-delivered frozen steaks in a restaurant! Don’t feel like doing it at home? Stop on by here! Ugh. On a friend’s advice I stopped here for dinner one night while in town. In the end it’s E-Me(for those of you scoring at home, or even if you’re alone). I should have known better. I’m really not a fan of the steaks Omaha ships out, and I don’t know why I thought I’d like them here. But there I was, eating a medium steak(at best), despite the fact I ordered it *very* rare. The mashed potatoes were good(not many people can screw up mashed potatoes, so no points for that). But when you go to a steakhouse you expect good steak. Or at least I expect good steak. Maybe that’s just me.

The best steaks ever, Better than Sullivan, Flemings, Norton of Chicago, etc. I am talking about the steaks now! not about the atmosphere, Of course the Omaha Steakhouse is located inside the Sheraton Suites, so it lose his appeal, immediately, difficult to find and Parking is a drag. But the Steak are fantastic, you will not regret it, I have eat there many time and they are always perfect.

First thing I noticed as we walked in was how EMPTY the place was.(Christmas Eve) This probably should have been a red flag. Calamari appetizer was pretty bad. It wasn’t really crisp and it was mostly flour. I ordered medium-rare 12-oz filet. It was cooked ok but the meat itself was pretty flavorless. I’ve definitely had better at other steakhouse chains(eg. Ruth’s or Morton’s). I learned 2 things from this experience: 1. Never come back and 2. Never order their steak through mail.
