Absolutely terrible establishment. There is a leak in the roof all above the bar. The employees are doing there job but management is terrible. I’ve seen management yell at employees in front of guest. I’ve seen a live Rat here. Never going back.

What we expected to be a positive anniversary dinner for our parents, turned out horrible. Service was lackluster, food was terrible and the roof was leaking! Our waitress was forgetful– never clearing the table, despite our helpful hint of a stack of dishes at the end of the table, she would forget our drinks, then bring the wrong ones when she would decide to bring something. She forgot our desserts, which we ordered special at the beginning for our parents 51st anniversary, even after being reminded of the dessert order! Throughout dinner, we were getting drops of water on us from the leaky roof. We kept trying to get the managers attention but we were ignored. We had to get up to go find our waitress so we could get our bill. The worst part? They weren’t even busy. This was hands down the worst experience we have ever had at the restaurant. We will not be going back.

We stood in the front for about 8 mins before anyone came to greet us or take us to our tables. We were passed by 2 servers and no one acknowledged us. After a wait, someone came to walk us to our table. It wasn’t busy, but I guess they were understaffed. CALAMARIFRITTI– crisp-fried, calabrian peppers pesto, and citrus black pepper aioli The calamari was a big soggy and didn’t have much of a crunch. It was oily. The pesto and pepper aioli provided more flavor to the dish. They were nothing special though. It was either creamy or sweet and spicy. LOBSTERRAVIOLI– lobster-stuffed and chardonnay cream sauce This dish was creamy and the sauce was savory. The lobster was few and didn’t have much flavor. In terms of taste, this dish was flat. Nothing stood out. FIGMARSALAPORKCHOP– grilled bone-in pork chop, marsala wine sauce, fig jam, roasted parmesan potatoes, and seasonal vegetables I really didn’t like this dish at all. The only thing I could eat was the potatoes. The pork chop didn’t have much flavor and the texture was tough and chewy. I left this restaurant feeling hungrier than when I went in. It was a huge disappointment. everything from the service to the food. What a let down.

Food was delicious. I was very impressed with the size of portions and flavor offood. Staff was on spot all night. Our bartender ever stopped moving and made sure we had all we wanted.

Love the prices for lunch. The food is always ready when I arrive to pick up. It’s nice to know they can customize the sauces, meats, and pasta. I can always count on getting good pasta for a grat price here.

Very good food and excellent service. People that give it 3 stars or less have no idea what Italian food should taste like.

Decent food but pretty average and nothing special. Ordered to-go the Bibb and Blue Salad with Shrimp and the Calamari appetizer. The food was ready quickly in about 10 minutes. Given how quickly this food can be cooked, this kind of hints that the food quality is quick and average. I wasn’t expecting too much, and so it was pretty good. I was also really hungry so this helped fill my appetite. The greens could have been cut into smaller pieces. I asked for dressing in the side and didn’t end up using it because the blue cheese added enough salt and flavor. The calamari was crispy and came with a chunky marinara sauce and creamy tartar. Good choice for a quick bite.

Average at best. Bland and overcooked lasagna. Server was ok. Nice but rushed. The chicken parmigiana was ok, better elsewhere.

Saturday evening(7:00pm) birthday party with 20 adults. Ordered Grilled King Salmon — pretty good, could use a little bit more seasoning. Service was friendly –no complaints. Service was slow. It took a long time to get the drinks. They seem to have some delays at the bar. The food did come out in a reasonable time, we got served at the same time. We spent over 2 hours at our party — we never felt rushed.

Really nice for a dinner date. We sat at the bar, the bartender Laderrick was awesome. He was very friendly and professional. The food was good and there was not a wait to be seated. They also have a nice wine selection, with reasonable prices.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times over the past 15 years. I recently went for lunch with some friends to try the express lunch menu for $ 7. We all decided that we would stay for lunch and spend a little bit more time. While the $ 7 menu looked pretty good and it guaranteed that it be complete in 7 minutes or free, we ordered off the menu. My friends ordered normal entrees at normal prices, and they were extremely satisfied with the quality of the food and the level of service. I decided to try the lunch menu for $ 10. It was three courses. I started off with fried mozzarella which is a single triangle the fried mozzarella with marinara sauce on it. It also came with a second course of Caesar salad. While the entrees were limited, I decided to order the cheese ravioli with vodka sauce. It was served within about 15 minutes and was a generous portion of about 10 ravioli. They were tasty and cheesy and I was able to dip the complementary ciabatta bread in the wonderful vodka sauce. Before we were served our entrees, I asked the server if he could give me some pesto and Parmesan cheese to put in the Italian butter(olive oil and cracked black pepper), and it elevated the ciabatta bread to be more of an appetizer. I was extremely satisfied with the portions and quality of my lunch, especially the price point. Both of my friends ordered the chicken parmesan for $ 12 each, and they were happy as it arrived fresh fried and crispy with the sauce on top. For lunches, I had avoided this place as it usually took at least 45 minutes to order and eat your food and was a bit on the pricey end(entrée, salad and drink was about $ 20). The speed of service certainly did not make it easy for finishing lunch within an hour including driving time. I previously joined their email club, and I receive almost weekly promotions for further discounts on the Express line lunch and generous coupons off your meal(I recall one recent offer where we’re going to give a $ 10 off any meal over $ 30). My only suggestion to management would be to expand the lunch menu to include more proteins. With the exception of the sausage and pepper dish, the choices were mainly pasta dishes. Perhaps a. simple $ 2 charge to add grilled chicken to the pasta dishes would be sufficient. I guess my highlight is that the food is prepared fresh and is higher quality than other chain italian restaurants. I am certainly going to add this place to my lunch menu options and perhaps try out the dinner menu soon.

This place went a long way downhill. The waiters don’t know what’s on the menu, for one. For two, I would have ordered 5 bloody Mary’s with lunch today, but no one even asked if I wanted another one! It’s 4pm! Someone should be manning the bar as far as I am concerned. I took my food to go because I wanted to have a drink or two with dinner. The chicken breasts that came with my Marsala were about the size of a grown male’s testicle. Sorry excuse for a restaurant. Place will be out of business in no time. Go to Olive Garden down the road.

Extremely subpar food. Everything lacked any taste whatsoever. If you want quantity over quality, then this is your place. Eat your heart out with food covered in butter and oil to make up for the lack of flavor. We had somewhat high expectations coming here, as this used to be a somewhat«fine dining» chain establishment. Now it’s on par with Olive Garden and Chili’s. On another note, what kind of Italian restaurant has Justin Timberlake playing over the sound system?

My friends and me went there last Sunday for after-shopping late lunch. It was the first time I’ve been there and I was pleasantly surprised! First I was surprised when our waitress started writing her name with crayons on the tablecloth! Then I realised it was a paper tablecloth! They give you crayons to draw over it, which is nice. Our waitress(Kim) had a trainee assisting her, and they brought some warm bread with olive oil and pepper — delicious! One of my friends had the Buffalo Chicken Parmesan, which she loved! The portions are really good — so if you get there hungry, you will leave satisfied! My other friend and me got Pollo Caprese, which was delicious as well. Definitely coming back!

Hubby and I came here today and we found it to be a very pleasant experience. Our waiter, Herb, was excellent. He had a great personality and was very attentive, as well as the trainee, a Chris Pratt-look-alike(sorry, can’t remember his name), especially to our peach tea needs. I loved the bruschetta! It was very good! My husband love his meal(Classic Italian Bake), but I wasn’t really sure about mine(Carmela’s Chicken). It was OK, but I don’t think I would get it again. Thanks for a great experience!

Great atmosphere for the family. First time I was here. Enjoyed or waitress, she was really friendly and great with my kids. The food was a lot better then expected. The bread that they bring out was tough and hard to cut, I was expecting it to be soft and much easier to cut. But that doesn’t ruin the experience. I’d definitely come back again and give it another go. I’m glad my husband suggested this place

Wonderful service and food. My fav is the chicken Scallopini, make sure to ask for extra mushrooms and artichoke hearts when u order. The Rosemary bread is a signature item that is not to be missed. It is fresh baked daily onsite. The terramasu is really good, my husband makes lots of mmmm noises when it eats it, and he can’t stop smiling for half an hour.

In the mood for some Italian food, my family popped into Macaroni Grill famished. We probably had one of the best waiters, Derek, help us in quite some time. He was funny, friendly, and attentive to our wants. Fresh, right out of the oven loaf of bread as soon as you’re seated. I created my own pasta — spaghetti with Bolognese sauce — which was DELICIOUS, made to order, piping hot. My better half and daughter chose the Pasta Di Mare — fettuccine, mussels, shrimp, scallops in a garlic sauce which was on point too. I also had a side Caesar side which had just the right amount of dressing and crisp lettuce. The only reason for four stars is that it took awhile for the food to come out. Three fourths of the restaurant was empty and it seemed like an eternity, but Derek kept us entertained.

So it’s Saturday night… Service was slow. Waitress nice… Food average. Nothing to write home about and I think it’s better than Olive Garden but not by much. I actually prefer the location on Westheimer bc the food and service is consistent. Maybe next time will be better. Well if I come again…
