This review is simply based on customer service which is highly important to me. My friends and I entered the store this afternoon. We were not greeted at all by the older woman standing in front of the register. She did not look our way, nor did she break a smile. I was slightly put off because I am a very friendly person who strongly believes in customer service. My friends and I enjoyed looking through the products but left within a few minutes. I would highly advise to stay away from this unfriendly store and its products. They are simply not worth it. Spend your money elsewhere on other items that are far nicer.

Never again purchasing a product from L’occitane. I should have known better than to trust the word of an employee who told me they were animal cruelty free. Lies! They pay a third party to test their products on animals.

They have the best hand lotion in the world! Staff is super friendly and they give you product samples. While you are there you can try their hand scrub and they even give you a nice hand massage!

Hmm… This is one of those places that has«expensive» and«fancy labels» all over it, and with that there is a little bit of trepidation for me. It just so happens that my mom likes fancy hand creams, and my dad loves clean-smelling but high-end soap. Since Mom is graduating and both Father’s Day and Dad’s birthday are coming up, I thought I’d go in here. Definitely pricier than even Bath and Body Works, which is kind of like my mental financial ceiling for fancy lotions and creams. A bar of soap, while huge, is still $ 10 here. A small, maybe 2oz tube of hand lotion — $ 12. Fancy, organic ingredients… Ok, so why 4 stars if it’s so much out of my price range? Tiffany, the salesperson, was very sweet. She did not try to upsell me on a bunch of stuff. Instead, she loaded my bag with free samples for me, Dad, and Mom, and told me to come back if I found the stuff survived an airplane trip to them. Furthermore, they will close down the shop if you want to have a party with your friends. Free facials and other treatments. FREE. Of course, they would love to make a sale off of it, but you don’t have to pay for the treatment itself. Intriguing…

Their products are wonderful, but the service is okay. I’ve visited often and spend quite a sum getting gifts and products for myself. They don’t inform you of their in-store deals or promotions unless you ask. I wish they would have been more professional in letting me know that I could be added to their frequent customer list.

My sister and I came here to get a Christmas gift for our family member and we are shocked at how the employees treated us. Maybe it’s because we didn’t have our LV or Burberry purses on us but we did not get the utmost professional customer service treatment. We grabbed ourselves a sparkling drink and later on, the lady asked us where we put the glass. This was really peculiar because the way she had asked was very condescending. We had thrown it away in the trash can like any responsible citizen would do when done with their drink, not leave it anywhere like she had assumed. Then she kept eyeballing us and watching our every move! We couldn’t shop comfortably or very freely. It’s not like we were dressed like raggedy teenagers or anything either! Another lady when ringing us up at the cashier told us they were having a 2 for 1 deal on the hand lotions. We happily bought it and when I asked the lady if I can give her my member info, she said she’d get it at the end. My sister was paying and she wasn’t a member so when the transaction was done, I asked her«wait what about my member info to ensure I get the credit?» She then slyly said that she already got the info and I asked her how and she said she got it through my name and Zip code. I then told her very confused«But i don’t remember telling you my information…» Turns out she looked up my sisters info when she said her zip code but the thing was she had assumed we were«Linda Lee» when clearly my sister isn’t Linda and she’s not a loccitane member. Another shady thing is I had bought the 2 for 1 lotion deal and when I checked my receipt, I didn’t get discounted the full amount. I inquired about it and the lady told me that it’s only applicable with a purchase. Wait a minute, she clearly did not communicate that in the beginning so I feel a bit jipped and scammed. Anyways loccitane folks, please treat your customers with the same respect you’d like to have. How do we know we felt a tad bit discriminated? The other customers in the store did not get the same treatment or lack of, as we did. I very recently started using loccitane products and am very disappointed by the representatives who stand behind selling loccitane.

Definitely on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for here! Keep in mind that all of their beauty products are natural and made in Provence. I’m a huge, huge fan of their hand creams. Their shea butter hand cream will cure any dried, cracked hands. I also like the fact that it’s non greasy and it absorbs pretty quickly. This is one particular product that I see in most beauty magazines because of it’s popularity. Try it out in their shop and you’ll see why.

I haven’t won my trip to Provence yet, but still have hope!(if you give them your email!) The products are all natural and easy on the skin. I like the shampoos — Verbena is my favorite. It’s pricey, but everything is supposed to be made in Provence, so I hope, organic as well!

L’occitaine is a great place. It’s in the Highland Village so depending on the day you go parking can be hell. They always have great sales and that’s a plus because they can get a bit pricey, but the products are worth it. The girl at the sales counter told me that the products were put out by the Clarins people. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but it would fit since I have always been a big fan of their face creams. They give lots of samples as well and if you sign up for their e-mail notices or mailing list they also will send you many freebies in the mail.
